These common words here and easy to say but there are gamblers that did not know how to set control over their emotions, the more losses they have got the more time they will spend and stay on gambling just to chase and hoping to cover their losses. Nevertheless, if you have a goal in gambling and you are not treating this as your source of income and you will be fine.

Yes a gambler should have control on his emotions and he must know when to stop investing and when to carry on. When they see it’s gonna lose for us better stop investing or you should control yourself against investing more. I think a gambler need to remain natural about investing like never go beyond the amount you selected to gamble with.

Gambling is a game of chances and you cannot guarantee to win all the time and even if they have a goal you cannot determine on how much you are going to loose as you cannot determine the outcome of the money you wage, i consider sports betting as the fun thing and you cannot start gambling with a target and you cannot start gambling with a target in mind as the pressure will consume you and you will end up loosing everything, consider this as a fun and wage small amounts rather than looking to settle for life Tongue

Indeed. There is no such word that will say enough for everybody because they will still look for other things to cure their satisfaction, that is why it concludes that even a huge amount of money will not stop a person to gamble, as long he/she is still having fun making a huge amount of profit in gambling.

I think there isn't a word that will say enough for humans because once we can get as much money as we can, we still trying to search for more money. We will never be satisfied even if we already become a millionaire. There will always a hunger inside us and make us get more and more. We will stop to search the money if we died and that will make us satisfied. We are such greed, and if we say that 10 billion are enough for us to stop gamble, that will not stop us from making more money.

this is of course totally a bullshit , especially once you diagnosed has been addicted to gamble since the day you start gambling.

you can make a promise now or then , but one thing you have to keep in mind , if you did not fix the psychology problem in each of gambler mindset that you can never stop gambling no matter you have 1 billion , 10 billion or 100 billion in your hands you will ask for more.
the only way to stop it is by spend money as much as possible to cure your gambling habit. as once you play to gamble you are addicted automatically. at least that is what i believe, that is my opinion.

Being not a huge fan of people in general, I don't think the most of them are as stupid as you said. Maybe a kid of age below 12, or someone who's mentally handicapped, can think that way, but most of the adults are smarter than that. They perfectly understand that pushing your luck is a bad idea, and they usually stop after winning big. Various studies show that the percentage of those having gambling problems is well below 5%. And even most of the gambling addicts are smart enough to know that they shouldn't gamble so much, they just can't stop themselves from playing more and more, and that's why it is called "compulsive gambling". But, fortunately, it is a curable disease.

Just like many gamblers, there is no amount of money that would totally take me out from gambling. I am not addicted to it. Neither am I a full time gambler. I am only one of the ordinary people who find gambling a nice way to relax, destress, or to have some fun during days when it is somehow needed.
