I don't think involving money to stop gambling will work, gambling its like a spirit and habit once you start it might be difficult to stop, getting a huge amount from gambling will lead you to gamble more thats how it works. What will make you stop gambling its an outright decision not to gamble again, and being disciplined enough to see that you keep up with the decisions you made. At the initial stage it might be difficult but as long as you keep up with your decision and commitment not to gamble again with time you will loose complete interest in gambling

One would really stop after hitting a jackpot and before reaching that goal he went through several hardships and massive loss. But if that's the promise of stopping when you'll just hit the jackpot, how long it would be for you to hit that?

But you can lose so much waiting for that jackpot, it's unimaginable. I, for one, sometimes check the requirements and play specifically for hitting jackpot, but I make 100-200 rolls and quit because I know that even 10 million rolls can be not enough. I would definitely not recommend to keep rolling in hopes of hitting the jackpot. And if you accidentally hit it, then yeah, quit immediately.

Aside from recovering my losses, maybe if I have at least 5 Million (in Pesos since thats our local currency) I can stop and invest in something else that would generate a passive income like a condominium unit that I can rent out or list in Airbnb, apartments that I can rent out on a monthly basis, but I think even if I have that money already, I will still gamble but not regularly, just for fun.

I don't think people gamble to leave. It's just the people that don't love gambling that tries ones and leaves. A person who gets the taste of gambling won't leave it for life.
A huge loss may force some people to stop gambling but a win would not stop anyone.

I tend to agree to what you have said, finding a job is way better, actually if you have experience on how hard it is to earn money in real life, you can start to limit yourself of how much you can take to gamble.

I think winning and money is not the issue here. Chronic gamblers gamble for thrill and to satisfy their urge and lust to gamble because even when they are winning they do not stop to gamble, even when hitting a jackpot thwy tend to gamble more.

I have really not thought about it but if I ever decide to settle , I would at least require money to take care of 2 generations after me and for my retirement too beside my pension. Or every day deal of 100 dollars till my lifeline would settle the urge of me playing everyday. Is it too much I ask for ?

Sometimes even though it has won a big jackpot from gambling is not necessarily someone want to quit the gamble, because if it is already addicted to hard to leave from gambling.If you have won a big jackpot someone could be even more involved in gambling. So all must start from the consciousness of each person, no guarantees winning jackpot will stop playing gambling.
People will have greed once they win a big jackpot from gambling because gambling will be tempting people to try to get another winning and another luck. No matter how much money we can get from the jackpot, we still want to get bigger money than we already got. A gambler will not realize that enough is enough because they will always hunger of another winning.
