Sometimes even though it has won a big jackpot from gambling is not necessarily someone want to quit the gamble, because if it is already addicted to hard to leave from gambling. If you have won a big jackpot someone could be even more involved in gambling. So all must start from the consciousness of each person, no guarantees winning jackpot will stop playing gambling.

Gambling is definitely not something which can help you to repay a loan. If someone is stupid to the extent that he/she starts gambling with that goal, I can guarantee that they would not stop until they lose everything, even if they initially won what they needed.
I believe that a gambler that gets too addicted to gambling any circumstances might happen. It still not going to stop until it meets the end or in short, the end wherein you will realize its regrets. Also gambling can't be considered as way to repay loans and debt, it might also be the reason to worsen the deficit, also don't think that even a gambler wins big money will stop playing I guess its mindset will worsen only because he/she will believe that he/she has a lot of money and can't lose that much and eventually without realizing all the money will vanish in instant.

I think it's important to mention that sometimes people win when doing exactly what you described, and namely because of that this problem exists. If people were always losing, gambling wouldn't be around by now. But people should know that there are things you don't gamble with, and an amount of money that is significant for you is one of those things. So, even if you started from a small balance and then won big, stop and think whether you should continue, because maybe now it's an amount that you need for something other than gambling.
It is not like that a gambler will lose each one of his bet but most of the times, the outcomes will be against him. In the beginning, he might win more but eventually, his defeats are going to overcome his victories. Because the house lures customers when they first start. Once they become a regular guy, house shifts it focus towards getting money from him. Hitting big jackpots must be the sign to go home.

Can you involve money for you to stop gambling or a gambler can really stop after he promises that if he wins this jackpot he will stop?
This is for the big-time gambler or those who gamble habitually or even those who have the urge to gamble when they have available money.

Possible in my opinion I think if I earn a good amount of money that I could use for a passive income like apartments or a good business I think i  would rather do it and focus more in running the business than gambling probably a few million $, in my opinion, could be the could that could make me quit in gambling which is I think impossible. Because I'm even struggling in earning a 20$ per day in gambling.

Not sure about this way to stop gambling, because I'm sure those who have won the jackpot will at least make him have a new zeal to keep gambling. So I'm just sure to stop gambling is the opposite of this, those who go bankrupt or lose large amounts of money will at least have the desire to quit and not about how much money must be obtained from gambling to stop gambling.

Something worst may even happens once (someone who is addicted already) lost everything he owns on gambling.
He may do crime to get money to continue gambling, starting from small crime like stealing money from his own family and can be something even bigger such as rob a bank.
But I have to agree that those who have just won big, will be hard to stop as he is owning much more money to spend.

I may not stop gambling no matter how much big i win. There are two reasons for this. First i do not gamble much and the little which i do, i do it for fun and my self satisfaction. I never do gambling with a motive to make this much amount of money etc.  i do gamble for fun and time passing, nothing more than that.

Well, if I hit a jackpot of 1000x my usual monthly gambling bankroll I would definitely stash the jackpot away and look for ways to invest it wisely. Remember that gambling is not a form of making money, but to have fun especially if you can have some drinks together with some nice chicks in a social environment. Wink

But yet I ask you this: why would someone who is gambling for fun quit playing if he wins a big jackpot? After all he is willing to lose the bankroll he uses by playing with it.

I guess it would be much better if OP would have started this discussion like "how much you bear to lose to stop gambling". Because, it is proven and lots of time had been discussed that winning from gambling is not at all possible so winning after x amount to stop gambling is completely impossible one. When you are able to win some amount then why you should think about stopping it. I mean to say there will be no wrong to continue when gambling is profitable for you.

I agree all the gamblers in long-term are the losers so it would be good to have some ending point but I believe stopping after winning will not be possible for any gambler so thinking about wrapping up your gambling before you will be losing some big money must be a wise idea in my experience.

I would stop not only gambling but also to work if I won a multi million dollar jackpot.I would stop gambling, immediately quit work and then decide if I want to open up a business, put money in the bank or invest in some business venues. One thing is for sure and that is that I would not care at all about gambling anymore.
I wish that all the gamblers think like this or to win a jackpot in gambling so that they can do things like this.

Once a gambler, always a gambler. Stopping gambling isn't easy especially for those who are are heavily addicted into gambling. If a gambler wins a jackpot, chances are they will use it again to gamble - in short it looks like compounding on a different way.

If all gamblers think like the one you shared, we won't hear any stories from gamblers who are ending up losing their money because they put their money into other things that can give also profit to them.

You sound like gambling pays your bills, or does it? If you are a regular gambler and not making money or not being profitable, don't you think you are "wasting money to chase money" that is difficult to win? I guess this is Ok if you are aware that you can lose all money in gambling
I knew some people who would rake in a few thousand each month through poker/roulette/dice. They somehow come out on top (for now..). And @OP easy answer: 100k+ profit is a quit-and-never-return moment.

Honestly I don't know like most of the other gamblers, because we may win many times but still wanted to gamble so any amount can't make us to stop from betting but if someone really new to betting but they won in few millions then they might quit gambling for a reason.

May be the need of the people varies and some has some loan or debt to repay or require some extra money for something and some just gamble to pull out hat extra money from gambling, may be that would be one of the reason and that amount could stop them once they achieve it. But more likely greedy behaviour of a person would not prevent them to continue gambling.
You are right bro. A lot of us gamble for different reason, there are actually people who wouldn’t stop regardless what they give them but for someone like me, I would stop as soon as I am able to meet up with my immediate needs and pay off my debt. The truth is that I am gambling for money, if I had enough to meet my needs, I wouldn’t be gambling in the first place, if these needs are met and off course what will sort out this need is less than $5000 but if I am able to get this, I would stop and never play, but unfortunately this is only a wish that would never come true.

Now let’s be realistic, it would be hard to see anyone that will give us money to stop gambling but we can make this money from gambling by working hard that is why I have set a goal for myself that as soon as I reach that goal, I would stop gambling.

How much? I think 10 BTC is enough and after that is achieved, I will really stop.

This is not nonsense because with that result, I will use it in real life so that it will make a flurry of activity and eventually forget it.
Even the big amount of winning is achieved, a gambler will still play and will not stop. Without inner discipline in playing no matter how much money there’s still an urge not to stop. It should really have not to be greedy, control emotions and self contentment whatever how much money you can win in gambling.
if we have discipline in our life we dont need to stop gambling because we can control the greed and the lust of money.
but the problem is only few people can have this discipline in gambling and too many people fails to learn.
most gamblers wanted to win while some wanted to have fun,so maybe we can just decide when we experience a big loss if we want to stop or not.

The only kind of gambler I believe would stop after winning much money are those responsible ones who see gambling as a source of income and a method to multiply their money, however only very few of them will accomplish this mission.
You have a point but there are still people who dont have contentment even if they already win huge amount that can change their status in life. I remembered this lottery winner that I watched on tv, he won in lottery that make him rich but his gambling career gets worse as he keep playing not knowing the money he had is not permanent. He didnt use it to build business and just live like a one day millionaire, now he regret everything. Winning a specific amount cant make you stop because it still depends on your character.

Megalomaniac gamblers won't stop, doesn't matter how much they win or lose. Casual gamblers won't stop also, as they play for fun, to have entertainment and not for the sole purpose of earning money or becoming a millionaire and so on.

I don't expect much from gambling, personally talking, but I would be very thankful if I could win the jackpot on the lottery, although there isn't a fixed value.

Exactly 732 thousand dollars. Now, I know it is impossible for me to win that much but at the same time that is the number I have in my mind that I need to never work again, it is not strictly gambling, if I end up winning the lottery, or maybe something happens and I win a lawsuit, it doesn't matter what the results are but if I end up with 732 thousand dollars on my bank account I swear to god I will not work 1 more day in my life.

I calculated it with interest rate in my country as well and I am both living a decent life without working thanks to interest I get plus I will also save some of the interest so that the real amount grows larger as well. I found the perfect level which was 732 where I could spend 50% of the interest and save 50% of the interest.

I don't really know how much would it take for me to leave and never return to gambling again.
Because I only gamble to have fun and enjoy my free time so I couldn't really give an accurate answer,
But if I could find another way to enjoy my time then I could just quit and never return again .

I guess it is not an enough reason for a real gambler to stop on gambling because a real gambler is not just money are they cared about but it is also the enjoyment and the bonding with other gamblers is the one reason they are gambling. Maybe some gambler will stop on gambling once they win a huge amount of jackpot or big prize but at the end of the day they will still play and make some joy inside the casino with their friends.
What is the point in being called a real gambler by others when you are ultimately losing money?  Being rich is more important than being a real gambler. Moreover, there are two types of gamblers. One who play for fun and others who just seek money. And they are not different rather opposite to each other. Those who play for entertainment only, wont mess up around but profit chasing face troubles.
