The remote working has a lot of advantages if you can manage your domestice stuff. Many business have prefered and switched to the remote working option and they are happy with the cost cutting . . and end result

Managing domestic stuff during work will cause you working less effective. It will increase time to do regular task (as your primary work will be on your mind all the time), and the quality will also me affected. If a person can do his job, and parallel do some house cleaning or cooking, then his job isnt that hard and if his employer find that out, he might get his salary cut. But you are completely right about cost cutting. Part of our employees work remotely, and companies bill on electricity and gas (building has gas heating) are not murderous (consumption decreased, but utility prices are still high).

The key to success to be able to do work in a remotely is a compact team and understands the job description, the most common mistake is communication, and even though we can work remotely, offline or coming to the office is still needed to discuss strategic things such as work secrets and so on.
That is, if you work in the form of a company, you must understand each other and have good communication in order to create a more pleasant atmosphere when you are in the office. But if the work is only for oneself I think the main fault is in the use of time which must always be taken into account because a person does not need communication with his group except only with customers or the people he needs to support his work.

Working in remote area is not an easy task because to me it just the advance method of slavery. I prefer to be self employed because it gives me freedom, but becoming an independent is not easy, many try and fail. It all requires patient.
Well, let's don't have that mindset that employees are slaves. We all know that fact that they're working for a company or employer and for the others that are not on their situations might say that it's the modern slavery. Yes, you're self employed and that's good on you but not everyone can be on that situation. Although just as you've said that it requires patience and some that would like to be in that shoe will have to endure many things because going up to that point. Working remotely has been one of the best features for employees as they can be at their homes while working at their own comfort.

Force yourself. That is something that not many people do but if you are going to work long term then you should be forcing yourself. You are having trouble waking up early? Force yourself to wake up early, too early if you have to, that way you will go to bed early as well, having trouble finding food to eat, or can't decide? Force yourself to eat healthy, having trouble exercising? Force yourself to do it.

If you keep doing these for a couple of weeks in a row every day, it is going to become your regular day and it won't really take that much time neither and rest of the time you could relax. I have been working remote for so long and never been happier in my life.
There are always adjustments in every first times. It’s up to us how we can adopt in it and live with it, rather than focus on complaints and believe that it’s not gonna work anymore. Like when this pandemic hit us, working remotely has become a trend and I must say, it has worked for me after dealing on several adjustments. However, I believe that there are also some of us who never achieved their goals and end up in failure because maybe their environment is not conducive for working and if you have small kids around, they can really destruct our focus and left us working the hard way, the reason why some turn to be ineffective in their own works or jobs.

We do have to stop complaining about the problems that come, but we must learn to face every problem that comes. The faster we adapt to every
new situation that comes, I believe we can be successful in any job. Working at home has started to become commonplace after the pandemic,
indeed I also found it difficult at first and was not used to working at home. But all things will become accustomed if we dare to face it and do it regularly.
Since I have been working from home for about two years, I am now starting to feel the benefits that I get when I work from home.

But as you said there are actually many obstacles when working at home, it is not as easy as we think. One of them is that it is really troublesome to
work at home when we still have small children, I felt it when I first worked at home. That's why at first I didn't finish my work as well as when I was
still working in the office, because the atmosphere in the office made it easier for us to focus on work.

I then tried to find a solution that I would work at night when my children were asleep that was the initial solution that I did. But it's quite
inconvenient because I have to adjust my sleeping hours, then I found a better solution, which is to work in a room that my children can't really enter.
Until now after having worked at home for a long time, I finally started to feel more comfortable working at home than working in the office.
In the end as you said it all depends on us to adjust to new things, it will create comfort in the end.

Working at home is certainly the best choice, does not require travel and traffic jams so that it is more effective, besides that we can do it anytime and also the most important thing is that we can monitor and educate children to the fullest.

That kind of thing does look very effective for work in life, but I still can't do it full time at home because I still need to leave the house during work hours so I have to leave the house for a while. But when I can control all my work from home, maybe I won't leave the house often to continue the work I have been doing for a long time now.

Only for now I still can't do all my work from home even though I have an adequate internet signal, but there are things that have to be done manually and don't need an internet signal at all. This is what makes me have to stay out of the house to finish it. How about yourself ?

lol looks like eccentric but that's the reality when we work at home and I can't deny that I also do things like this because when we work at home, for example, when we are in a meeting, of course we have to dress neatly and what we see is definitely the body parts above so that indeed other body parts that are not highlighted by the camera do not need to follow to make it look matching because we are at home and no one sees it Grin
Eccentric because? They wear uniforms even inside at their homes? Or Eccentric because they wear uniforms but it wasn't complete like on what we see in the pic. They don't have shoes and pants but why would they do that when they are only inside their houses anyway and the whole body can't be seen anymore when doing a live meeting plus it makes them more comfortable working.

Actually, I research something similar to this like how to work in full concentration at home and one of the advice there is like this like we need to wear a uniform. I think that is to give us a real vibe that we are truly working on a real office. It's a nice trick tho.

It's true since the pandemic hit our world, many people are doing work from home, myself included, I found it difficult at first because I'm not used to it but after a few weeks I started to enjoy it, I don't need to dress neatly to go to the office, I can working under the tree behind the house with a cup of coffee and it adds to the inspiration for me to work more effectively and focus

Working at home is not that bad, but the thing is I often feel tired working at home I don't know why maybe because I am burning out with my job or because I don't have someone to talk with my issues or burdens? I really don't know why, the thing that motivates me right now is the bonuses I will receive next month and on December, I am also listing some goals for this year.

Working at home is certainly the best choice, does not require travel and traffic jams so that it is more effective, besides that we can do it anytime and also the most important thing is that we can monitor and educate children to the fullest.

for me remote work may be very inconvenient,
because the results are not optimal,
and chatting with clients also feels uncomfortable,
keep signal sometimes or bad network,
it severely hampers the quality of work,

and working remotely is too tedious,
I just looked at the computer screen, and it was very boring.

and an effective way when working remotely, for me
the important is

• healthy body
• stable internet network
• the right time to work, make a to-do list, so that work is more organized
• maintain coordination with colleagues
• workplace as comfortable as possible
• avoid other activities
• don't forget to take a short break

That's what I do when I work from home or remotely.

For me, it's effective if I treat my WFH set up like a normal day at the office, you work at the designated hours but make sure that you mix your fun while you are working, there are things that you can probably do while working at home. I've seen my friends play CS:GO and Valorant while doing their tasks so I think that it's the optimum albeit most distracting.

On point. You can do everything that makes you more comfortable and effective while working. You can listen to your favorite music, we can even go somewhere else while working. I am envy when I see in people posting in social media travelling to beautiful places while bringing their laptops in order to be able to work.

Except not all like to work remotely. Others have kids that are noisy and it can distract their focus to work. A noisy environment too can hamper our focus to work.

After a long COVID-19 pandemic, I began to learn that working at home was much more effective and fun. At first I was uncomfortable being at home too long, turns out I started to understand that by working at home I don't have to pay for transportation. Another positive thing that I get after working from home, I can save my time, because I don't have to travel to the office. I can also save money on food costs, usually if I work in the office I always spend money to buy lunch. Now by working from home, I can eat lunch from food cooked by my partner. I also work at home can be more productive, because as you said, not only do I get income from my main job, but I can do side jobs too. Although in my country activities have returned to normal, but because I am too comfortable working at home. I resigned from my previous job and focused more on finding work that could be done from home.
There are a million reasons why working from home is better, of course it does have some troubles but that doesn't change the fact that we are talking about being at home and that is always better. I have to believe that we should be working toward something that is a lot more at ease for each other and working at home is a lot better version of working from office, it just doesn't mean that we do not have to work from home but we need to also save a lot of money that way as well.

I personally worked from home before pandemic and I have worked ever since as well, for the past 7 years or so and I cannot say that it would be any easier to go to office from now on, I would have a lot of trouble.

But maybe not everyone likes working at home, for people who are used to socializing with other people, must be working at home depressing him.
It's true now that technology is getting more sophisticated, where we can make video calls with other people. But the feeling we get is
very different when we socialize in real with other people. In the end it depends on the person, if it is more effective and comfortable to work at home
we can choose to work at home. But if we are more comfortable working in the office because we can interact directly with other people, please work
in the office. Everyone is free to choose to work according to what they want, after all there are some jobs that cannot be done from home.
So please let us take our own choices, but I will still try to work at home, because I think it's more convenient and also more effective.
YEs - that is true - I do not liked the idea of working from home.
That is the most difficult thing I have experienced in my life. There are kids at home who rushes to you during online meetings - while you are talking and making your presentation during zoom meeting with camera on.
It is good but it has its disadvantages too.
When it comes to that then i do agree which is kinda hassle but i do make out separate room which is really just intended for my meetings and there's no other that could really go inside once i do locked it up.
On this way then you could really work at peace and also you should really make out some explanation on why you do need to do this, and this is for the sake of family income and to sustain up their needs
and wants. The beauty on working on your own home is that you could really directly reach out your food and drinks whenever you are thirsty plus you could really see your wife and kids
without missing them since they are just behind back. The only thing that would be affected is on that social interaction on other people.

It really depends on us. I would love to stay at home doing my work. It saves time and money consumed by travelling from work to office and then on the way home and the meals and snacks. At home I can easily grab any food or even cook while having a light work. And I don't have to get dressed well except if there are cameras needed.

I know there are also positive reasons to stay at our work places rather than at home. The focus is better. Everything needed at work is always at reach. But if I am given the choice I would love to work at home.
Working at home has become the trend since the pandemic has arise. And I think I found it more relevant to stay at home while working, not only you save time and money, but you can also do multi tasking as far as earning from your stable job and side jobs are concerned. Though working at your workplace is also productive since your resources are reachable, but I’m glad stay at home jobs is introduced because I’m now enjoying it and it gives me more profits knowing I can do more than one job at the same time.

Working remotely is now a common thing, and some persons may quickly choose that option of work if offered by a company. Working remotely can become as hectic even more as working in the office if care is not taken. Before sharing tips on how to effectively manage working remotely, some major disadvantages and problems this can cause are;
Quote
Distractions and lack of boundaries
Many people work from home because they want more time to spend on their hobbies or with their family. But the lack of a concrete boundary between work and home can lead to distractions such as interruptions by the kids or doing domestic chores during work time.
Knowing when to stop
As a remote worker, it can be difficult to know when to unplug and stop working, making work feel never-ending. In one study, 39% of remote workers reported working longer hours than they were supposed to.
Loneliness and isolation

To effectively combat those issues, here are some tips;
Quote
Find the right space
Whether it’s a room in your home, a shared workspace, or a favorite coffee shop, the environment matters when working remotely. Make sure temperature and noise levels are comfortable for you, you have plenty of space for your equipment, and it’s somewhere you’re not likely to be disturbed. Look for areas that offer natural light to help you feel energized.
Set a schedule
Working remotely often means more flexibility – so you might have more choice about when you do your tasks. But while this can be a very good thing, you might find that not having such strict deadlines means work bleeds into other areas of your life, which can be stressful. So it’s important to set yourself a schedule and stick to it as much as you can.
Get dressed
No, seriously. It may be tempting to work in your pajamas, but it won’t make you feel professional. And it’s not a good look on a video call. Clothes influence our mood and emotions, so wear something that makes you feel motivated, professional and confident. Getting dressed for work will also help you mark the distinction between work and home life, helping you switch off when the working day is over.
Plan breaks
With no prompts to take lunch and coffee breaks, remote workers can find whole days passing in front of a screen. Taking a break is energizing, especially if you can get outside, so set yourself a schedule and make sure every day features at least a walk around the block. If it’s not possible to go out, get some activity going indoors.
Communicate, communicate, communicate
Working remotely requires more communication – not less. Use instant messaging and group chat to stay in the loop with colleagues and projects, video call into meetings, and above all, check in with colleagues and managers.

I've been working remotely at the comfort of my home for almost a year now. This coming November first week, to be precise.
I 100% agree with the disadvantages listed in the OP when you're working remotely. Though, I knew when to stop as I've been working based on the allocated work load everyday, which is also not too much for me. I'm glad my client does not want me to get overwhelmed, except for the peak seasons which is an understandable situation anyway.
However, I have different ways in combating those disadvantages since I work with EST time zone, which is completely a reversed time zone from where I am located right now.
The most challenging part for me is the boredom, loneliness, and isolation as I've been working in a graveyard shift. Fortunately, I get used to it after a couple of months.

Considering that my ISP is also quite unstable at some point wherein I encounter random disconnection, it could be an issue but good thing that my work time is not really inside of those times that I encounter disconnection.

In any regards, you're right that people should have at least mobile data in their phone and let their colleagues know about the matter. Usually there are common software used by teams these days anyways like Slack or MS Teams and it is even more accessible for them to contact their higher ups without passing it first to their supervisor.

Don't forget about the connectivity or the main thing that's needed which is internet connection. If you're aware of the other preparations of what working remotely is.

Then, you should have a backup internet at all times. This is applicable for those remote workers that have ISP that sometimes have an intermittent connection and has to make some ways to connect again.

That's why having a backup ISP is what you need unless you're connected to starlink and wherever you go, you're connected and got no problems.
