It all depends, sometimes joining bounty campaign and earning through it is just pure luck, because there are good bounty campaigns that are even managed by credible managers and yet you get nothing from it. However, it is best to do your homework before joining bounty campaigns.

Choosing bounty you have to take into account that bounties can be different.
On the one hand bounties can bring you money and on the other hand you can waste time. Make a right decision, man

I pay attention to the budget, because even if the project is made by a good team and with an interesting idea, I want to get enough tokens for the work done and effort, and also pay attention to the amount of funds collected to understand whether there will be a demand.

Today it is very difficult to choose the best ICO project. Even after a good study of the project and the team, you can be deceived for various reasons.

To choose a good bounty project you need to know about the project of that bounty like the team behind, road map, white paper and many more. And the ability of the team or the unique concept of the project. It's not just participating we need to research and study it.

Basically everything about the selection depends on you. There are a lot of projects out with different ideas. So gets interested  in their idea before you just bump into it. Get to know much about the team and their involvement in some previous projects not forgetting any written down document your personal researches.

Look for new promising projects that conduct ICO and bounty company. Look how much is allocated to the bounty company and how many percent is allocated to the job you are interested in.

I am trying to take part in bounties that has already achieved their soft cap. This is a signal for me that the project will continue developing itself and is a type of guarantee that bounty hunters will get their payments, maybe not the full amount, but at least something and not by like other 60 percent of projects, that leave hunters with empty pockets.

Certain projects announce their intended pool for bounty, but after the bounty campaign, the pool is reduced. This happened to a particular project and i was baffled. The reduction in the pool was around 8-%, which in my opinion is just too much.
We need to be careful of the type off bounty to join, because some are just waste of time. One of the funny things, is that some of them will delay payment, until the token dumps.

it is very hard to get a good bounty campaign now. most of the good bounty managers are not managing campaign anymore.
I remember joining bounty campaign because my favorite manager is managing it.

For me, sticking with bounty managers who have proven and good history about the projects they have managed in the past is a good sign to join the bounty campaign. I have been joining bounty campaigns of bounty managers which I have received rewards. So far I have had a good returns to my effort.

It's very hard i think to decide which project is good, even it's a good project but only in whitepaper without actual development then it will turn to trash, also bounty manager cannot be a parameter to decide a good project/bounty. They are hired also have been paid differently from us. If they are good but the project itself is trash then it will turn trash too..

Even if you follow your rules, you can make serious mistakes, many bounty managers fraudulently take tokens from the participants of the bounty programs and they consider this the norm.

You have put up the main points nicely in your post, i will add that the shorter the bounty camoaign the better reward we can get, so do consider this as well, personally i think biggest thing that matters is a genuine project with good team and practical use cases.

Its hard to determine whether the team is great or real so I want to add some tips on how to recognize which team are not real. Based on the article that I read before we need to avoid a project with a gorgeous team members because mostly fake project use those attractive face to attract investors earn money in the wrong way.

I totally agree with you with the fact that we have to choose only trusted bounty managers because in that way they also make a pre-check of ICO to prevent scam and unsuccesful projects
