I think it is not yet advisable to explain Bitcoin to children since they are still in young age. They need to learn first from school, it seems difficult for them to learn about Bitcoin if they don't have yet knowledge about the industry, the economy and many more. On the other side, we can explain Bitcoin to teenagers, first, by simply giving them an idea of what is Bitcoin. Then, show them how it works. This right here is probably the best approach. Show them in practice - What it does, what it doesnt, etc. They can hear about the tech side and how it functions 'backstage' at a later stage.

You can give them advices like keep learning and try to find some references for their learning, then tell them you qre not yet familiar with everything, just also tell them how did you start, basic guidelines that are easy to understand.
