Research is the key here. Just like any investment knowing the business, the industry and where they are going is vital. Here are a few things i look for in an ICO

- Strong team - Both in development team and also the CEO's / marketing (no point having a great team to create something, if nobody can advertsie it and push the startup in the right direction.
- Realistic vision - not aiming too high or if they do not reach their target everyone who invested will be disappointed
- Solid whitepaper - Well thought out, shows realistic goals, a strong good vision and a plan of action
- Strong social media presence - A social media that shows they are connected with everyone
- Good customer support - Shows they care, and they have invested time and money into making sure the average investor can ask questions
- Good website - A business who is willing to throw time and effort into a good website are less likely to be a scam
- finite supply - ICO's with no cap can be dangerous and can simply just damage their own coin by releasing more for more investment.
-Market they are getting involved with - Is this a new market? or a dying one? who controls the market?

Also here is an interesting article comparing ICO's with a working product vs a vision.

Hope this helps and happy investing!

for me personally the criteria of a good project or should i say a successful one is the people who are backing this project, the idea it is caring the dev team and their portfolio and background, and there also a marketing criteria that the project holds like the market-cap the supply etc....

There comes a time when a good project should be connected with the real sector; we want this, or not. Only by tying together "different worlds" can you protect yourself from bad investment.
Just imagine that you can be a shareholder of the company on the other hemisphere and receive dividends simultaneously in crypto and cash?))

When you visit the website, check the profile or linkedn tab and do a profile check on each team member, check their past and make sure there not Joe Blogs from planet Mars. They need to fit the description and be who they say they are!

You need to answer firstly what field you want to invest in. Once you decide that, then spot the ICO that is working on a project in that field. Then start researching the different types of ICO's you have found. You can do this by browsing this ICO's website if it has one - it should have one if its a serious ICO.
Then check the white paper and definitely check the roadmap and see what the mission and vision of the ICO is. I believe that a good ICO needs to have a good team, to make sure the ICO will be successful. Once this is done, you need to make sure of the caps and token sale details.
This is how you know if an ICO is good!

Check how fast a project is building up. Team, telegram chat, bitcointalk chat, are they transparent. Check the linkedin profiles of the team. Are they real. Do they have a registered company?

Like Trade Token accepts and fiat currency, meaning is regulated which means is real.

you must look into a lot of aspects but the main ones are

1) team (real or not, investigate)
2) whitepaper
3) product (finished or not)
4) use case for product
5) cap and token sale details

I am sure there are few more but those are most important

i am still a newbie  in cryptocurrency. this information is very useful for me. so I have to be attention these four things. it is :
team, whitepaper, product, token of the details.
before  it I never be attention the information like this if  i participate a campaign ..
thank you for sharing your information friend.  Smiley

I have been heard of People come up with good ICOs from looking at the caps and token sales.

How to analyse through them?

What are the facts we need to concern to find a good Project?

There are other strategies too. For example looking for really good project that hasn't had much marketing. Or picking up a coin that was heavily sold off due to people dumping but has a bright future ahead.
Best is first option, cause making a project with marketing is better than doing a unknow one, it is easiest and more certain.

Firstly, I always see who open that threat, official new-account or manage by old-account bounty manager, or fresh newbie account using un-related name or not represents the brand of the project. Then I look at their content, how detail and compact the information they give. Is there any weird thing. I usually observe first about 1-2 days before deciding to fill up the form. And be careful before fill the form. Now, I always consider if they show the spreadsheet publicly.

First of all look whitepaper of project and roadmap also. Experiences of developers team is also important. You can follow some ico rating website, they make an assessment for every ico, they give an average point .

It takes a bit of research. If the application is "cheap" and seems to be done on a speed, it already indicates that it is not a project in the long run. There must be more designers, programmers in the team. An important "white paper" is where the plans for the future are presented, etc. etc.

I follow ICO is not profitable, I follow ICO using my savings but the market price is far from ICO price, so I think better buy in market than to join ICO.
