Hi, I just wanna ask how to overcome depression? I have a friend and she keeps telling me that she don't to live anymore and that it is better to die, she has lot of problems but she just keep it on her own, she is so depress and i can't find the right words to make her feel better. And also can't a person overcome depression on his/her own?
Tell her that she is not alone and you are still here on her side. Tell her that you're willing to share the weight that she's carrying by herself.

You should take her out away from any depressing things and make her. Depression is serious and we all know the worst scenario that it can lead those who have these. Just let her feel that there is someone that cares for her, willing to listen to her, and a person that loves her no matter what.

take your friends on vacation to see the beautiful scenery in nature, I think it can make him think the world is not narrow, convey to him masi many great things awaits in the future.

For me were nootropics. I was able to focus on my work and tasks and left out some things out of my mind so.. I went from depression to productivity.
I take some courage too and I went to a therapist. That was like a month later from start taking armodafinil, and yes... It helps, a lot... So, I think it's a lot of courage, will and yeah... nootropics help too.
By the way, I take Artvigil and Modvigil from generics21.com. They accept BTC so.. great for us!

Depression is just in your head guys, you need to understand that feeling bad and sad isn't interesting and you can make a lof of thing. So just start doing it.

Depression now is easy to avoid,  all you need is to talk somebody if you had a problem.  Talk to your family.  Because their is no problem that solve if you ended your life.  Life is amazing,  all you need is to be enjoy your life. Just forget the problem,  forget the depression. 
Yes life is full of mystery, believe in yourself...forget depression, it can ruin your life.
do not think about trying to tell the people you trust and ask for advice from him. if you can not tell it to make yourself always busy with positive things and keep hanging out with friends and surroundings. because with us always joking laughter with our friends then all the problems and the burden of the mind will be slightly reduced, no one can eliminate our depression other than ourselves.

depression can be oovercame by keeping yourself busy forexample visiting friends, going for a picnic, going to the cinema, reading a novel so as to keep your mind occupied.

first and foremost, try to focus on positive things, but if the depression's come up - change all the lifestyle, change the environment, do something completely different and never ever keep it to yourself

I think you already have seen posts like mine before, but therapy and medicine is the fastest way to recover, along with an inner resolve to get better. Personal experience.

seem like it would only make you feel worse, but when you don’t deal with anger directly, you tend to turn it on yourself. It is important to allow yourself the freedom to fully feel your feelings, but at the same time, to control yourself from acting them out in any way that is harmful.

Stop the negative self talk, stop blaming yourself and have self doubt and feeling of worthlessness. Begin to monitor your inner negative talk. Don’t take your thoughts seriously when you are feeling low. Acknowledge the thoughts but this doesn’t mean you have to believe them. Keep perspective. Practice mindfulness it involves focusing on the present moment and is a skill that needs to be practiced. More often than not, our brains are full of thoughts and focusing on the present moment seems unnatural for our minds. Practice on engaging your senses in the moment. Focus on touch, taste, sight, sound and smell. Engaging the senses leaves less time for worry.

I have depression and I'm still struggling with it but I have manage to experience less than others who  became suicidal because of that. You just need to make yourself busy. Avoid listening to depressing stories/shows/movie because those will always trigger your depression.

To overcome your depression, first you must know God. Pray.
Seconly, find a companion that may good to you.
Third, turn your depression in a good physical activities..for you not to think anything that can be harmful to you.

Depression is a common illness in society. worse if the prolonged depression. The only way to fight against depression is to rejoice and recreate yourself. Make joy not worries. Enjoy your life to the fullest. Start your day with a positivity, avoid anxiety.

Ridiculous suggestion. When someone is depressed, how is it possible for him to engage in recreational activities? Perhaps you have never undergone severe depression and therefore you don't know how that works. But it it a very dangerous condition, and I know it because I have experienced it.

Find some things that make you interested.  Socialize with others and love yourself. Eventually,  you will overcome depression.  Last but not the least, you should find a real friend that you can talk to about things that you cannot share with your family or your partner.

Try to make a scale of your misfortunes from 0 to 10, which, in your opinion, deprived the life of joy and happiness. Then sort your troubles by importance.

For example, a broken nail deserves 2 points, 6 points for a quarrel with a mother, and 10 points - a betrayal of a loved one.

And now think, is it worth the nail of tears and emotions, when you can not breathe without your second half?

Moving to the background of minor incidents, you will spend all your strength and emotions on solving the main trouble for you!

"Just talk to people. Socialize." Well, overcoming depression is easier said than done. To some, depression is still a stigma. Not all are fully informed of depression so when one admits dealing with this mental illness, we act negatively or we try to play the "Mr. Know-It-All" friend. Worst part is some think it is a make-up condition that it does not really exist. The victim himself can not overcome depression on his own. So, awareness plays an important role. The people around especially the family must be supportive in anyway they can. Accompanying the depressed to the psychiatrist, reminding him to take his medicines on time, providing financial support and creating a happy environment are some ways to ease the burden of the person battling depression.
