For me, it's tough if you truly want to prevent in trading, especially that you spend over 18 to 19 hours a day just to make sure that you are updated to the market. But I think that 1st solution you might take is lessening the hours you spend on watching the market if you can make 13 to 15 or much lesser hours a day and find anything to do, like going out, exercise, socializing to others, etc. Do the things that you usually do before entering the trading world. But I'm sure that you can't back your normal/healthy life because you either improve it or make it much worse as you think. Smiley

In line with that statement, it doesn't matter to me if I will be addicted to crypto as long as I would be benefited despite of being addicted. Being driven out by cryptocurrency, our addiction isn't associated to health problems but rather problems is how you handle your funds when you became wealthy in the end.

This is the real opposite of gambling addiction. If you are an addict gambler, you will more tend to lose money unlike a crypto addict which focuses more on how to earn rather than how to spend by a mere entertainment. If i could choose an addiction, i would choose the first option too.
It is not even possible to me that someone will get addicted to cryptocurrency because there is nothing to get addicted to there, if op is glued to his trading platform, or glued to seeking information on the system, he is only dancing himself through that and I see nothing absolutely addictive about that

Purely physiologically, it is six of one and half a dozen of the other

That is, it is the same thing under different names and conventions. When you gamble, you become addicted to it because the process becomes a form of a powerful drug. You feel euphoric and ecstatic, for some time. When you are deprived of it, you feel typical withdrawal symptoms and want a new dose, time and again. In this manner, you can get addicted to trading in essentially the same way as you get addicted to gambling. And while we are at it, the process is very much like love, with the bottom line being that anything can potentially become an addictive agent if it can work as a mighty stimulator for both your brain and your body

It is only a game or any habit that I know people keep getting addicted to, and when it comes to habit, you just have to replace the habit with a good one, but in the case of op, he is just trying to make a living for himself and I would not say e is addicted, when even trading on trading platform manually, you have to stay with the system for a very long time till you probably succeed or loose on what you are doing. I guess by now, op would have already become guru to stay less on the system.

I think that is insane because that is very serious addicting to crypto. You need to learn about how to manage your time so you can get your normal life back. You should have another thing to do and don't watch your phone, try to keep yourself busy so your mind doesn't think about crypto, and you can prevent from the addicting. Maybe you need to talk with other people so you can distract your mind and the most important is you need to have a strong will to prevent from that.
Actually this problem is really simple to be overcome. OP has to decide to choose being a day trader, weekly trader, short term investor or long term investor just it. I believe until now he didn't choose them and even he didn't know some things that should be done if he chooses some of the strategy for his money. He just look the price movement without know the strategy to overcome the situation. I'm sure if he choose one the startegy and he try to learn more about it he will not reveal that he is an addict to cryptocurrency but he will assume that cryptocurrency is a job place to gain money.

I guess you are right. I have a friend who is a day trader, he spends some time to trade with various coins, but he doesn't stay in the front of his computer in all day long because he has another business in his real life. He tells me that he makes a plan between his trading time and his business so both can work together without disturb each other.

So, perhaps, OP needs to manage his time to trade so he can know how to prevent from staying in the market in a long time. If he can do that, I am sure that he can prevent the addicting to crypto so he can have another time to do another thing.

I think it just needs time

It may look and feel a bit counterintuitive and against all reason but you may actually want to give in to your passion for the time being as the thought of doing something wrong is probably more damaging than your relentless trading itself. Sooner or later you will understand that the results are not worth the effort applied (since otherwise you shouldn't be complaining obviously), and then you will quickly come off this dope in an easy and kind of natural way. You will see that you are overtrading and in fact losing longer-term profit opportunities

If you are addicted it is very difficult to prevent it again, except self-awareness,Especially focus on which parts are the most important and which parts are We must be nomoe 2, because every single connection we can do we can schedule when we should work in Krypto and when we work in the real world,

Although it is difficult, he could try to learn to control himself so he can be able to prevent the addicting. We know that will be though, but with the strong mind, I am sure that he can reduce his time in cryptocurrency and he can use it for another thing. It is not good for his health too if he stays for a long time in the cryptocurrency. Besides that, he should learn about time management so he can make a schedule on how much time he needs to stay in the cryptocurrency.

I don't see any mistakes or wrong if you are a crypto addict. Meaning it gives profit and good benefits to you, and this the reason why the word
"ADDICT" was made. But if your addiction don't give any benefits to you I think better for you stop and find an alternative way for you not to become remain addict with it.

If you are already risking or having no balance into set of things that you must do then you would need to control it up.

I agree with that. I think if the addicted can bring the benefit as what you said, it will be no problem for us and even we could use more time to earn more. I think the addicting to cryptocurrency will give us a way to make more money and more cryptocurrency if we can get them in the market which we can sell it when the price increases. So I think we don't have to prevent from the crypto addict and the important thing is we can manage our time in crypto so we can see our life is not about crypto.

Crypto addiction? How can we say we are crypto addict? Is it a basis if we always look at the chart? We are just monitoring the ways bitcoin is leading to. OP, if we are winning at crypto trading, etc then we are more eager to learn more and spend time in crypto space. As long as we all know our limits and we know how to control ourselves, it is noy addiction.

If trading is not profitable for you, you should find some tutorials on how to trade or you quite trading altogether.. But if trading is very profitable for you, why worry about how long you spend trading? Shouldn't matter too much as long as mobile trading apps allow you to trade while you move around
I don't know why op should be worry because of becoming addicted to trading. If you are succeeding then why should you be worry? If I am making it in trading in a big way I will leave everything and focus on trading because it can make one rich than any field of endeavor you can find.

It is not called addiction. They just don't want to lose their investment so they focus on the market movements. They earn profit not depending on luck. Compared to being addicted in gambling, it doesn't matter to you if you lose money, your focus is to win the jackpot not realizing you just lose more.
Addiction actually comes in different forms, I understand your own view of it and I understand what you are trying to say that whatever you are with for the purpose of making genuine income is not an addict, but really, everything as measurement, even if you doing things to make money, it has to be moderate, life is not a matter of life and death.

There is time for everything, someone who is staying up to 19hr on a system is seriously even addicted to the system and not the trade alone which is bad because this could affect the body chemistry and make the brain and body to shut off when they are not to do so. Even the engine the whites designed to function from time to time without rest do short down sometimes, talk less of a body that has been design to shut down when tired.

Any kind of addiction is never a good thing. Now there are some factors you will have to look at. Are you wasting your time looking at the market or are you making some good profit and your living out of it? If it is the former one, then you need help. Try to focus on something else. Just forget about the market and concentrate on doing something you like during your leisure period. If it is the latter one, then there is nothing wrong. People work from for hours every day to make money. This does not mean that they are addicted to their jobs. This is just what they will have to do to survive the world.

if you are addicted to something that is very difficult to get out from that that is the fact also if you want to get out from that you need the support from the other persons who supports you that is the very useful way for you to get out from that.
We can make it for sure if we want to step out from hell. Actually, we can make it by ourself, only we need to open up our minds and think what went wrong on our self..It sometimes we are just blinded by the truth and we never realize it until someone could tell us where we are.

You make it seem like it's difficult, it's different like gambling addiction which does have an endorphin effect. To prevent that you can exchange all of your cryptocurrency assets to fiat and convince yourself, I think what you see is the cryptocurrency traders who are at all times watching the market.
I just think same thing too. Because addicted to crypto trading wouldn't bring negative things to us. And it is different with gambling addiction which can make a lot of negative things like lose all money and keep curious about to play.
I believe the op will not just sit on the computer and be watching the system like movie, he must have surely been on the system to monitor the trade e is doing or probably learn one or two additional things, and the more time you spend on trading is the more you become better in it, and I am sure that there will be a time when the op will spend less time on the trading when he would have mastered everything.

I was once like op too that I became addicted to it kind of, but I had investment already which I to monitor day and night in other not to miss any trade, I never knew then that I could use all these stop loss and profit tool, but with time, things became a little bit easier and I find myself spending little time now on my computer, but that little time is always worth it.

Stop, simply as that. Just like any addiction, if you have the will power then you can overcome your addiction. Worst case is that you seek medical help, but there's no need for it. Just quit !!!
There is more to it than just the will to stop. I'm sure a lot of these people badly want to stop, but there is nothing in their life that they can focus on than in this case trading/investing in crypto currencies.

People that manage to stop do it because they can focus on other things, but when you don't have anything to live for (I know it sounds serious), they will keep doing whatever it is just to stay busy.

An addiction always has an underlying cause that people from outside the circle of the addicted person tend to ignore, hence keep saying why don't you just stop, it's so easy when you really want it, and so forth.
Agree, it's very easy if you just talk right. You're right that all addicts are definitely want badly to quit, they have a great desire to quit, but what has become a habit will certainly be very difficult to change, even if you want it to change. You need a lot of treatment to avoid and get out of it.
but the question is whether crypto addiction must be removed? is that bad ?
