Buy a new computer and download only a wallet program, store your coins in your wallet, and store your private keys in several places, such as your hard drive, usb drive, or notebook.

I protect my altcoin by securing my account on trading floors by 2 layers of security: mail authentication, 2FA authentication. Besides, I also protected my altcoin by buying a Ledger purse to store them safely and away from the bad hackers.

If I tend to make a double security to secure altcoin in the long run although threats from hackers still exist I try to keep being careful when doing various transaction activities every time.

First of all, I think that hackers will not invade our small accounts, but in order to ensure adequate security, we can store our coins in the wallet and refrigerate the private keys. I think this is the best way to protect our coins.

What is the best methods to protect altcoin from hacker?

I just open my MEW in times that I will already trade my coins. I opened my account less to avoid phishing sites so that my private keys or passwords or seed are all safe. Well coins in MEW can be visited without the need to log in the account. Just go to etherscan.

Paper or hardware wallet seem to be the safest. My ledger is extremely convenient to use but I still sometimes wonder about it's security.

I do not take any action to protect my tokens. I keep my Exchange sites on my tokens. I make money by always buying and selling.
Some of my friends keep their tokens in their offline wallets.

Do you want to feel secure for your token? I highly recommend if you use hardware wallets like trezor and some other hardware wallets, you will not worry anymore with troubling hackers. This is what I did to secure some of the token and altcoin assets I own.

Use password generator. This is proven effective for creating super strong passwords, in comparison with manual writing.
If you are not familiar with the password generator, then the author will give you a tool that has its own author test password strength generated.

Use different passwords on all exchanges and also use only reputed exchanges. There is still no 100% guarantee to remain safe from hackers.

Take care of your private key, passwords and dont click. shared on any social media sites, etc. the only reason why hackers have the access on your account is because they successfully get your key.

It depends on the amount you hold. If you are a investor and have a lot of coins to protect I suggest you to go for a hardware wallet as it is offline nobody but you could have access to it. And if you have small amounts of coins then MEW is enough to protect it and there are plenty of other wallets out there.

the most important thing in maintaining our crypto asset is not based on the security of a wallet or exchange, but more to our own individual, never indiscriminately enter your private key, because very many phishing websites today, and also do not click the link you get via email or other unidentified personal messages.

Yes you are right. Now you need to be very careful not to go to phishing websites and never to divulge your key to anyone. I would advise for everyone to have a hardware purse to protect yourself even more.

I think the best way to protect your cryptocurrencies, preventing them from stealing from hackers is to encrypt your wallets before using them, and do not save any of your passwords, private keys or dat files in email or dropbox

I think that the only way to protect your altcoins from any hacker attacks is hold your altcoin in any hardware wallet and there are many options of hardware wallets available in the market.

Keep them in a cold wallet. The main thing is not using cloud services to store passwords, they are often hacked. Also it is necessary to not  store your coins on stock exchanges.
