I am keeping my altcoins in hardware wallets-Trezor and Ledger Nano S,I think they give good protection for your cryptofunds.I dont trust much to exchanges.

Yes it's the steps that I do also to protect the assets. Some people also advise to store it on the exchange, use metamask, and also use hardware wallet.

I always keep all the coin assets in the external wallet and it can avoid hackers or theft. I protect my assets where it becomes a necessity for me.

Absolutely agree! The best way to protect your funds from hackers is to keep on hardware wallets. Now quite a lot of models of wallets on the market from different manufacturers, but I would recommend you wallet ledger nano s. As for me, the best option in its price segment. Comfortable, practical, small, reliable.

In my opinion, a very powerful method to keep yourself from hacker crime is very easy. Do not click an email that is not from the original official, try laptop or hp do not be free if you are a trader or bounty hunter, use anti virus smadav pro or avast pro version on your laptop, if you are a bounty hunter, I recommend pirivate key with eth address put together, I get a lot from the folly of the bounty hunter made a mistake by giving the private key on the registration form bounty, not the eth address that he love, then it lost the token, but it was all because of his own stupidity.
Use metamask extension,hardwallet and some common sense so that you wont get hacked ,metamask extension encrypts your private keys when you are using dex or decentralized exchange such as etherdelta and fork delta which is why it is indeed going to be much easier because you wont going to manually put your coins to those exchanges,

I strongly recommend you to use a good antivirus software to protect your computer against malware and virus that are designed to steal your crypto currencies. It is also good to invest in a hardware wallet for better security.
my suggestion is to use metamax application. although I've never used it but many people say the metamax app is great for securing altcoin assets. if you're not sure you should first look for the metamax app to see the details of the app. hopefully that's as good as people say.
