Don't trust the ratings, it often gets positive by paid accounts so look for the opinions on forums where strangers interact about that site and if it has no such thing then don't risk your money to a new unknown casino.

Even such reviews can not always be trusted.  Any platform to some extent encounters difficulties, so the first thing you need to look for is negative reviews.  Exactly how the platform deals with dissatisfied customers shows its real face.  If I can’t find such reviews on the network, then I assume that positive reviews can be fake.  Then it makes sense to find those people who are users of the platform and receive feedback directly from them.

Having no negative reviews doesnt mean that they are already considered automatically fake. Why we cant just say that they do give out better service than the others?
Site reviews can be rigged thats why we should really be careful on not to easily believe on whats being said specially if its a new one.If you can risk up to test waters then
do it on small amount and find it if it do pay.If it does then its up to you if you would trust them or not.It do matter most in users experience most of the time.

The best service always attracts a large number of people and the attention of the Internet media, because it takes a lot of money to provide the best service.  So, finding versatile information on the platform you are interested in will not be difficult.  Probably less funded platforms are able to provide excellent service, but here we must always be double cautious.  Firstly, this is more an exception to the rule than a regularity, and secondly, you must always assume that there may be scammers in front of you until you are 100% convinced of the opposite.

Fake ratings become more and more a problem and if you don't make proper check you might get victim.of a scam. If you can find any independent source it's worth checking. Also, try to test customer service to see how they respond and check other customers experiences.
It's also good to check the background of casino, where and by whom the site is registered and if everything is legitimate.
Although some scam online casinos could be very sophisticated so sometimes is very hard to recgonize scam scheeme.
When we are highly depending on reviews and ranking, people do attempt to scam us by fake rating. It is happening everywhere unfortunately. Only when you react based on the people you know or people whom you trust based on other criteria then the chances to skip scams is bigger. At the same time, people who suddenly start working for monetary benefits will certainly a big problem even we know them/following them for years.

Exit scam must be another big thing we must need to address here. I guess we cannot protect us against exit-scam as people are always tend to use any services which is running for years hence keep big money with them is obvious and when they decide to quit then we cannot do anything about that. Only possible measure here is, just NOT keeping big money with any services but frequent depositing/withdraw may kill us in terms of longer waiting time and bigger tx fees.

This is also a good idea to find paid shilling websites because mostly new sites will get errors and bugs then which will be resolved so if a site never had such problems when it is literally new then approach that site with caution.

One of my key factors to know if a betting site is shady or not is searching threads here in Bitcointalk forum, if there are topics reviews or scam accusations to the site, i'll be able to quickly find out. Another key factor is they need to have an ANN thread that has a representative to answer all complaints.
If they don't have a thread here, you can still search them and use search engines. And there will be fake reviews that will be shown so don't believe them as if they're legit reviews.

If you landed at a casino and unsure why you landed to it, you might just think twice and ask whether anyone had ever been playing in that casino.
You are already in the forum so you might as well ask the people around in the forum whether they can recommend playing. Chances are many will answer you what they think about the casino.
You can also search on Google for reviews and also on Youtube to see a few videos and check their views and comments and also on reddit. Also for a good casino they must be having high followings on social media and also there engagement rates will be good, if not then it is a red flag and should deposit with caution. Also if you are depositing on the website for the first time, try depositing small amounts and after a few wins try to withdraw, if the money arrives then that website is good to go.

Nowadays we see some rating sites that had become the culprit of scammers. they will gladly receive some payments in exchange for fake ratings to get more people. Unfortunately, there are lots of them who get fall to this kind of trap and the worse thing is, they continue this kind of fraud until now.

How do you guys spot scam betting sites ? Which are the red flags with those kind of sites and do you believe the rating/review sites or they are mainly paid like the ICO review sites ?

Actually, it is very easy to reach the answer to the question you have asked.  All you have to do is get information about the website and do a little research just before using a website.  You must also have sufficient knowledge of this service before using a new service, regardless of conditions or promotions.  If you deposit money on any website you see without doing any research, or if you want to try a website you see, you can be sure that you will come across a lot of scam websites and you will lose a lot of money even without gambling.

I don't really look for a scam gambling site, instead, I look for a legit site. If I still doubt a certain site, I won't explore and I will just go with the trusted one. I also don't explore a lot about new gambling sites since I prefer to stick with the one I know and the one who is popular with a good reputation. Looking for reviews is fine as long as you will gather enough reviews since sometimes some can be a paid review. This forum is also good to known other's recommendations and insight on a certain gambling site.

Personally, I also ask recommendations with my friends since I can trust them better than those online reviews. But as I have said, I stick with the one I have experienced playing. I don't immediately get bored with a particular site since I don't often gamble so it takes a while before I will try to look for other sites.
Asking a recommendation to a friend about a legitimate and a good gambling site is the best way because you don't need to make any research and read online reviews, if your friend already experience about the site he already played. But it is also good if you only stick in one gambling site for you not to get difficulty when playing in a new gambling site.

You guys should be aware that the thread is 2 years old and any answer from today will not matter, even what OP is asking; the ICO is mainly out of the context now.

This is the perfect start point. Also keep in mind that scams are becoming more sophisticated with each passing day so doing a thorough search is a must nowadays in order not to be scammed.Checking the feedback of the casino you want to open an account and play here is the strongest evidence to take into account. If feedbacks are mostly positive go ahead without any fear and if it is mostly negative stay away.

There are some scenario that due to the age of the casino and the publicity of it. Some casino don't have much user that already try it. So requesting for feedback will be useless. I think doing a background check about the casino is the perfect way to verify if there are really legitimate. The best way to tackle that kind of scenario if you are not good on doing a background check is to open a thread and request for a verification to trusted member.

There's a lot of good detective user that can penetrate on the darkest secret of a certain casino if they have it. Believing on a random feedback from a random people was totally useless.

How do you guys spot scam betting sites?
What are some common spots on how to know if the betting sites are a scam or not? First, you can spot if the betting sites are a scam if it requires an investment first in enable for you to withdraw your winnings and etc. This probably my opinion only because I've seen a lot of gambling sites that require this kind of requirement and I don't trust this kind of doings.

Nowadays its easy to fake the reviews and ratings for a gambling site. Google can help you to give an idea about the specific site but its best to have other sources to verify their reputation which you can find here in the forum. Search for that gambling site and you can find the reviews and experience of gamblers. Much better to only gamble in a reputable gambling site to not get any problem when you play.
I won't trust Google to find the scam gambling sites because I think Google itself can not filter the scam sites, but reading on this forum to find the crypto gambling website will be better than searching on other websites. However, it doesn't always guarantee to get the legit gambling website since we can get a scam too from here. But it is okay if you want to search fiat gambling website, and I am sure Google will help you Wink

So we need to be careful to select the crypto gambling site, and always remember, don't use big money to gamble if you are not ready to lose your money. Maybe if the crypto gambling website offers so many bonuses for a new player or existing player can be a sign to scam people, but that depends on how the site can satisfy the member.
