sometimes the review is also not always appropriate. because when already entered online gambling, the main problem is the payment. if playing and betting on the site, is likely to be paid. but when we bet with others online, we have to be careful about payment issues.

How do you guys spot scam betting sites ? Which are the red flags with those kind of sites and do you believe the rating/review sites or they are mainly paid like the ICO review sites ?
Find a scam thread about that betting site in this forum, if you found some, it's better to move to other betting sites. Google search also good though, you can search the gambling site, usually there are some reviews about that betting site.

Almost all of the review sites are paid ones and hence they will write good things about them, just play in sites that are in the market for a longer period of time and i would like to see genuine reviews from users before depositing any money or i would rather test the waters with small amount of coins .Check out for phishing sites too.

Google would always be our friend, pal! When it comes to searches to any informations towards the site. Spotting scam can be find out with your own common sense but sometimes we do neglect to do a proper investigation like testing out a small amount to play specially to new gambling sites. If they do paid out then its legit but if not on the very first place then its a scam as simple as that. There are indicators that you can check out on early phase before making any deposits. Ex. Site traffic (players), house edge, too good to be true offers, making guarantees, site security.

Some of the biggest giveaways to a scam site is:

1)  Poor and improper English
2)  New accounts making promises that are uncommon
3)  When the rep refers to you as "sir" in every other sentence
4)  Cheaply designed website
5)  When they buy social media followers, likes and the related
You are very much familiar about the characteristics of a fake website like you have faces these websites very much in your life or you also are running a fake website like one of these. I am saying this because all they points that you have made in your comment are all true because I also worked on a scam once and I found everything there that you mentioned.

You don't need to worry about on how to spot a scam betting site. Just simply play on reputable gambling site and don't take a risk on a site that you aren't sure if it's legit or not. If you really want to play in newly created site because of bonus. Try a little amount or just the required amount to be able receive a bonus.

this is what I do in gambling games, I only play on reputable gambling site. I don't play in the new sites because I know that the site can scam me in the end. but if I really want to play on that site, I think I will search free bonus that I can take first so I can try the games without deposit my real money to play. it is difficult for me to spot a gambling site is a scam.

Even many reputed gambling sites also scammed the gamblers when they won the jackpot profit with their investment. Instead they simply be absent in the support team reply and no reply on email services too.
If we see the scam attempt such kind of we need to share it on forum mate. That is how forums members report about the scam in gambling on this forum bro.

The easiest way to spot a scam is to browse through gambling related forums and message boards, and ask the forum members what they think of a particular online casino. They will tell you. I'm talking about large online gambling forums like gpwa.org
Right ,through seeing their site and read the forums you can gather some information if there is someone being scammed at that site. We should be vigilat before we play our money so we can be avoided to be scammed by that gambling site.

I'm usually find their community first before try to deposit my real bits. At least it can minimalize the scam attempt, right ?

I can trust Primedice for example, because I see a lot of feedback for them but I dislike to play in 999dice although they have exist until now ( shady operation backhand )

The community can be fooled if you shower them with money. Faucets, referrals, signature campaigns, bonuses. If the site is fairly new and is paying a lot and advertising a lot it will have a lot of positive feedback.
I think time is the best indicator. If a site is online for years and there were no scam accusations, no stolen funds, no problems with withdrawals and not much downtime, you can trust it, even if the community isn't big and overly enthusiastic.

Their outlook. Most of the scam sites just ripoffs the design from other gambling site. You will see that their page also looks unprofessional and too many typos. It will also be filled with bugs. Not to mention that most of the users over there will be fake/bot users. Also they won't show any proof of their bank roll.

That's right, understand first the gambling site before you put your money because some gambling site is not a good place to have fun. If you are new here and wants to play gambling online then better to find for a trusted one, look for reviews and the team behind that site so your money will be safe.

If the site offers too many and all is obviously in favor to you, then you should be aware that it must be a scam. Some is too good to be true that some greedy people are eager to try it and fall into bait. If the site is not that popular, you should check it first before getting into it.

For me, I go for reviews about them. At least, those who might have been scammed when they used it, will not hesitate to write or rate them bad as a sign to warn others who might not use it. Even discussion in the gamblering is most times and  they aren't waste. Though, it will be a good thiny and it will be a good thing if outbay-

You have good answers, so I would just add:
- Never login to a site with an account used in another platform or a personal email.
- If on a site ask you for making a deposit to be allowed to withdraw, probably this is a scam.

And of course, the other basics: make a research first.
Yeah! These two things one should completely take notice of to save himself from a scam or if he will ignore these things, then he himself would be responsible for all the losses that he had to suffer. Also I want to add something to your comment because I also worked for the website which actually was a scam. They will not let you withdraw your payment and will ask you to do some illogical things that have no connection with withdrawal like adding some limit of referrals.

You can easily spot a scam using your logical mind. If you smell something suspicious and your mind tells you that it is not the right website for you, then you can go away from it. Usually, scammers give you false hopes like for example, you can win 1 Bitcoin, you can win more than you lose. And usually, people fall for it. Added to that statement, scammers usually have no reputations. They can just start a threat using a Newbie account.

There is no specific ways to spot them just really research the team, mangagers, devs, and etc. You can research for months and still get screwed you just have to find someone who has ran campaigns before!!!
