The first rule of thumb in this bitcoin casino world is history. If the website has a history of good reputation and a ton of pages on its bitcointalk topic than you can know for sure that that website will be alright. If you think even for a second whichever website you are checking seems scammy, don't gamble there.

Check everyone's topics and you can see which one is old, established and trustworthy. For example we all know primedice, we all know how trustworthy and great it is, that means its really insane to think they would scam you, why would they do that considering they are already making ton of money.

I think gambling sites are very visible from some of the existing reviews, as gambling sites can not afford to buy reviews, and in real live, gambling sites will get good reviews if they are proven to be honest and pay.

Reviews of the site (although these can be faked, so look for legitimate reviews that are monitored) along with certain features such as "Provably Fair"

Exactly, basically feedback you get from it.
And run some bets / withdraws / deposits see if the site is hanging and has positive reviews from real Users

I think that's a really good point as well.

If trying out a new casino (or virtually any BTC business), simply load up a low amount of BTC. Test out the waters, if all good: continue to larger amounts.

I don't like the idea of playing in newly established gambling sites. I always look for reviews, feed back or any on hand experience story shared by a user of a gambling site. However, I don't read reviews from bloggers that are paid to review because of course they will say good things to the site and everything is sugar coated just to increase traffic and get paid.

Supporting what others said about searching and googling those betting sites that you are not comfortable gambling with.

It's easy as 1,2,3 and you have to take few minutes of typing the "casino name"+ scam/review on the search engine and you'll get thousands of results but the closest ones will be on the top of that search.

do you believe the rating/review sites or they are mainly paid like the ICO review sites ?
I'm still believing those review sites as long as I also know the website they are reviewing but if I'm not familiar with it, still do your own review for that website.
ila you send a question to the support team website and no answer for days, do not continue your work there, could be when you do not get payment and contact support team they will not care about your problem right?
This is basically a fundamental right for a person that if he gets any problem and he wants the solution from team, he must contact them and ask for respective problem. Then it becomes duty of the concerned team and focal person that he must address the problem in best possible way and with best possible information encountering. If he isn’t making any solution, team is responsible.

Doing a search on the forums for the casino name usually can show you if there are a lot of people complaining about that website. Google is ok too, but I think the best way to spot a scam is just to test it out yourself with a little bit of money. If it works, just stay with depositing that much money at a time. Maybe some place won't scam for $100 but if you think it's safe and deposit $1,000 then they might.
You can't just deposit on a site to test it tho. Some sites may appear legitimate by paying in their early days just to get more people interested to play. Some sites even offer huge bonuses which sometimes can mean they are luring players or maybe it's indeed a legitimate offer.

Scams in gambling sites also comes in different forms. It's not always the "they did not pay, so they are scam".
A gambling site can scam someone by a rigged game and offering a not probably fair games when it should be one.

Spotting scams is much easier then people make it out to be.
If a company isnt a scam, you will be able to know from the beginning.
Look for plenty of community involvement and proper spelling in posts.
Scammy ambling sites not always start off as a scam, they maybe let people win a few games at first so that they get some reputation but than gradually start not paying and than walk away, so I think that in order for a site to be completely trustful, the owner the staff should be known and every transaction and winnings should be completely transparent.

Gambling sites tend to appear almost everywhere, advertisements, endorsements, but there are 2 main aspects that you should always check before you gamble, make sure that gamblers are everywhere, if there are participants then I don't think there should be a reason to make doubts, secondly, it will be extremely obvious to check if the website has given effort, if the website was fullt designed.

You can also know that most of the scams are showing it's nature in the beginning.

In the Scam accusation section, you'll see some accusations that are being thrown to scams and there are casino's there too.

to find out the site was a fraud can check at list of web site scam, scam sites often usually features a gift that is so seductive and kemuhadan to get the prize. we do have to be very careful in choosing her because gambling site It's hard to distinguish him.

Yes. The good thing about the internet age is that nothing is hidden and everything is accessible, which makes it hard for any scammer to go unnoticeable. I am talking about the cases where being anoymous is not a default option.
There are so many reviews online about each platform; discussion among users and all these things makes it easy for anyone to be able to stay safe and secure rather than getting to be a victim of such scam sites. Staying smart in this internet age is easy but I still wonder why some people still prefer staying dumb.
Some people really be dumb. Not doing any research before doing anything. That's why ponzi websites were once booming and I remember there was even a thread in this forum that has a list of websites and they determine whether it's ponzi or not. But, consider this. What if the website is totally brand new and they have reasonable promises and are totally believable? Since they are new, you really cannot find anything about them yet since not much have tried the website.

I think this is one of the reasons why people get scammed. They find this "new" and "interesting" website that's very promising. They can't find reviews since it's new. And even if they do, it's probably made by the website owners themselves and it's all positive. It's the same thing as ponzi. People are gullible. Don't trust new websites is the way to go. There's always going to be a similar website which has already been around for years and have good reviews. Use that instead. Same goes for ICO review sites.

The only problem is that the search function on this forum is old and honestly horrible- I don't think anyone seriously uses the search tool on this forum. Google is a much better tool for finding posts on this forum, and appending 'bitcointalk' onto the end of a string of words should help you come to whatever you're looking for on this forum, whether it's finding a scam site or a discussion about mining hardware.

I have found sites like Reddit are also decent for finding Bitcoin and gambling-related information, but it's always best to find multiple sources to verify what you're reading is true. Sites you find on Google usually aren't too bad either, as long as you filter through sites obviously shilling a service and such.

A scam most-likely won't happen at long-standing casino, which already has good reputation. If you want to minimize risk - don't try freshly opened ones as there are decent amount of proven websites that offer options to satisfy anyone's needs.
Well I am little bit misunderstood with the concepts that you are talking about. Really, if you want to spot a scam then go for trading and investing and search out which ICOs are really harmful and scam that people must save themselves from. But if you are just trying out to save yourself from scam in gambling, this is still a loss for you that needs to be solved.

That's true that the old ones won't allow something slip their reputations that has been built through the entire time that they have been operating.

Hardship and hard work made them to the top and gained their reputation along their way, it's not easy for a casino to gain reputation and it's a business. They won't allow something to ruin their reputation because it will ruin their business.

Newly created casino's are likely to scam so if there's someone who loves to try them out, beware and cautious.

yes I agree, it's because to keep the trust of everyone who plays casinos feel comfortable on sites that have been made long ago, of course the developers who are on the site always provide the best service to its users. obviously different from the newly created casino and have no confidence yet
