the BIN factory file you have in the screen shot when you flash the firmware, cant find it on the technobit page. or is it one of the thos cgminer links you have listed, sorry dumb questions i know.

so basicly with the tplink it works like a avalon or antminer, thats great. now to get it files and get it going it going.

Here the download link: http://www.megafileupload.com/en/file/505202/0-2-2-rar.html%EF%BB%BF

i cant seem to find any of the files, the BIN file for the tplink firmware change, i have a hex8a1.

also once done , will i still need a pc to connect to the hex8 or will it run off the tplink?

TL-MR3020 will act as "PC" than run cgminer & it's run independent ofc. But you will need PC only for change configuration & monitor.

What do you mean can't find any files  Huh

0.2.2 Maintenance release http://www.megafileupload.com/en/file/505202/0-2-2-rar.html
* cgminer patch to cgminer 4.0.0 rev 2786526d9f1acb7bd903ece3c822c2c9203aa0b7.patch - various code cleanup and optimization needs to be done
* cgminer disable LOCK_TRACKING and reduce CPU load
* cgminer make screen look nicer again
* cgminer screen  added pool reject ratio%. Note on startup or cgminer restarts due to internal usb buffer most of the old jobs are rejected which increases reject ratio. Just do not pay attention to it as long as it will level down
* openwrt updated to r39751

Hi, i have just bought one ASIC Miner HEX16A2 - Technobit. It seems that the simplest way to run it would be using MR3020 with upgraded firmware. Wich are the differences between factory and sysupgrade firmware?

Thanks in advance Luca

Factory is for upgrading from stock TP-link firmware, while sysupgrade is for upgrading from previous version of OpenWRT/Technobit.

There is also quite a nice hardware mod - but obviously involves opening up your 3020... There is a position on the PCB labelled up as a resistor (R113) - located next to the micro USB power connector... Solder a link across this and your MR3020 will happily take its 5 volts from the normal USB connector (normally 5v output only) - which is great because the Technobit boards happily supply 5v down the USB connection (or from USB hub)... Thus effectively powering the 3020 from the supply feeding your miners whilst cutting out the need to run an extra cable just to power the 3020. Smiley

One extra cable gone.

This week I bought one MR3020 and flashed it with the technobit firmware (openwrt). Everything worked fine until the switch of the lan interface to dhcp.

The MR3020 started, but no connection was possible. Trying to switch the MR3020 into failsafe mode failed - neither by pressing the WPS button or by change the position of the sidemounted switch. So I bought a CP2102 and followed this guide (no additional resistor was needed).
Afterwards the MR3020 worked again, but this morning the usb psu was defect and I had to use one of my phone usb charges. In the end, I am starting to hate the MR3020. Cheesy

Actually, if you had another router, you can check the DHCP client list or statistic to find the ip address.

For the power supply, i use 5V from same PSU that powered the miner  Grin

Interesting! Will the technobit OpenWRT image with cgminer also work for ASIC products from other manufacturers like BFL, HF, etc?

loshia told me that other driver won't work  Sad
