Bounty campaigns generate advertisement and promotion for an ICO a bounty campaign can help attract investors for an ICO. There are many bounty campaigns done here in this forum because many of the users here are on the look out for potential ICOs to invest to. Also, since bounty campaigns reach Facebook, Twitter and other forms of social media, this can make an ICO more popular.
Is bounty programs impacting negatively or positively to the success of icos?
Bounty programs is good for any ICO, every coin needs adoption, bounty program makes it easier for developer to do that efficiently. Bounty program participants doesn't earn free coin but they are work and help project to be success. If bounty campaign participants dump their coin that's upto them, it's their coin. Developer have to do something to keep their coin holder to be loyal with them.
For me bounty campaign contributes for the success of a certain ICO project through advertising by the use of social media but also it may affect or give negative impact in certain project because there are lots of bounty hunters that keep on spamming and it isnt good for the reputation of an ICO project.
