I will soon have a premium hotel. How to make as many as possible bitcoin transactions out of it?

- Give 5-10% off of advance room reservations when paying bitcoin (wpb)?
- Give 20% off of restaurant bill if it's over $100 per person wpb?
- QR-code room service menus with one click ordering?
- In bars, also direct ordering from tables wbp?
- All staff wears/carries QR-codes for tipping?
- Huh

Cool if I can be responsible for multimillion$ increase in bitcoin market cap Smiley

Wow, this is amazing. Seeing as you have good reputation, I'm willing to help out with anything I can.
Student with a lot of time on his hands and fluent in 4 languages.

4 languages? Impressive!

There was a joke once circulating around:

What do you call a person that speaks two languages?  Bilingual.

What do you call a person that speaks three languages?  Trilingual.

What do you call a person that only speaks one language?  American.  Wink

I, unfortunately, fall into the last category.  I guess we feel like we can get by with English in most of the world.  Also, I think start teaching foreign languages too late in our schools.  Most students only start taking another language in high-school but studies have shown that it is much easier for very young children to pick up other languages.  Oh well.  I am thankful for Google translate.

I am assuming you will be utilizing the castle in Estonia as a hotel right?

Hopefully we can make a trip out there next year if all goes well.  If BTC reaches $10,000 or so I see many trips in my future!  Grin

The kids want to go to Disney World first though.  I guess I can't blame them.  Wink  Although I would prefer Europe over Disney World at this point.

Will Bitcoin Rise Again to $60,000?

It is hard to believe, but Peter_R and I calculated that according to his Metcalfe Law model of bitcoin prices, if we increase the permanent number of daily bitcoin transactions by one, then the bitcoin market cap increases by over $100K.
That is true only because we are still so early in this game. I believe many/most Bitcoiners vastly overestimate how far we are into Bitcoin's evolutionary cycle. We've only JUST exited the "stealth phase".
You're right. This is very early in the race. I'm actually waiting for the halving, which is in 2 years.

All of those options make sense. I have been investing in bitcoin and have been wanting to spend and replenish, however the limited number of merchants where I have had an opportunity to do so did not incentivize me to use bitcoin. In fact the opposite was true, it was more expensive to pay in bitcoin that fiat, so naturally I paid in fiat even when I really wanted to use bitcoin.

I presume you will have some kind of literature explaining bitcoin to people that have never heard of it? It also would be good to find a way to allow people that don't have any bitcoin to pay in bitcoin and get your discount. Have you thought about how to implement that? It would be a nice introduction.

Its really hard to say, but as a hedge, you should at least have some percentage in bitcoin on hand long term.

I try to participate in a bitcoin transaction every day.

Wow.  That is really crazy.  In a way as a Bitcoin community we could increase the price just by using Bitcoin as much as possible then.  I have spent some but it is hard to justify spending them when cash seems so much less valuable.  But perhaps we should all just move more fiat into a place that can be used regularly for buying things we need anyways?  Just thinking here.

Exactly, You spend fiat on necessities. When possible, substitute bitcoin as the payment mechanism even if inconvenient or slightly more costly. Then recharge the spent coin from the fiat that you would have otherwise spent. As the Bitcoin Economy grows, the likelihood increases that the recipient of our coins will hold them or spend them, rather than immediately exchange them back into fiat.

I just spent $1k at tiger direct using Bitcoin

Oh.. common.. give us a little more details. What did you bought from tiger direct? How was the experience? Did they charged you any premium (above the exchange rate at that point of time)?

Great experience. I bought two bare bones kits. They use bitpay

Now just need to keep the positive momentum going with more adoption with companies, positive news, and just spreading the news to the masses.

Adoption is increasing, albeit silently. Right now it is the small and medium scale merchants who are adopting BTC. Anyway let's concentrate on them rather than going after big names such as Amazon, Ebay and Facebook. We have already got at least one large-scale seller on our side (Overstock). And I am satisfied with it.  Grin
Very silently indeed. As time goes by the adoption will increase, despite the bad news that we had/will have.
People just aren't patient enough and tend to panic too easily.

True, it seems that small businesses have the most to gain, as far as profit margin goes, from Bitcoin:
