I also really want to use Bitcoin at the supermarket. Not only that, it would be great if I could use Bitcoin for transactions to buy goods
in various large market places on the internet. Like Amazon, Ebay, Alibaba, Rakuten and others. But maybe this will happen a few years
from now, the most important thing is that the government must start accepting Bitcoin as payment. What makes me sad that currently
there are very few countries that accept Bitcoin as payment.

Online retailers such as Amazon and Ebay are unlikely to accept Bitcoin as a mode of payment, because they have partnerships with PayPal and Visa/Master. Also in case of Amazon, they have their own payment gateway known as Amazon Pay. Bitcoin is a competitor for Amazon Pay and this explains why Amazon is reluctant to allow it in their platform.

I also want to pay with my cryptocurrency. It seems to me that unfortunately this is not possible. I hope this happens sometime. Let's believe it!

Just a feeling I have. It's all credit cards and dollars and shit.

Yeah, I'd rather spend the shit money and save my bitcoins, but I can't wait until I can use real money everywhere. I'd rather get paid in bitcoin and spend bitcoin.

In some other places there is already Bitcoin ATM machine and some business establishment and stores already accepting bitcoin. Hoping that someday i can also use bitcoin everywhere and can get paid with bitcoin as long as it has still a higher value.

The possibility that the digital currencies are going to be accepted more than the cryptocurrency is higher. BTC is just too much loss for them once the fluctuation slides down. They'd rather prefer tha stablecoin if thisis the case but ifthere digital currencies are available and can be used to widely, the goceries and other stores will surely use them.

Just think of the situation when the bear market will stay for more than 2 years just as it did in 2018, the loss of the stores who accepted BTC when the time its price is on ATH will force them to shutdown.

Absolutely true-the volatility of bitcoin is the most important factor against bitcoin reaching the level of household payment in everyday life. However, in the future, bitcoin may become more stable, due to competition from other alternative coins, and then it may well be brought to a broader and official level. Legally, this is not yet practiced.

There is a perfect time for that. Bitcoin development is step by step and not unexpectedly, it has a process including the adoption of many people so that bitcoin will become more useful in many ways, including the acceptance of the government in bitcoin and other cryptocurrency.

You can order crypto debit card and pay via it everythere. This will be much faster than waiting for a mass adoption

You definitely have a point there. But there are practical difficulties. 6-7 years ago, purchasing a crypto debit card was relatively easy. There used to be a lot of options out there. But new regulations from the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) changed everything. There are still 3-4 options available, but you need to go through all sort of KYC verifications to become eligible to purchase one. The fees has also increased by quite a bit.

Using bitcoin as payment currency on supermarket depend with your country rule will allow bitcoin or not, supermarket will take their permission if allowed using bitcoin as payment currency without get legal from government. I think how to promote bitcoin and altcoin well as good currency payment at the future by faster, worth and more friendly using by every one. After getting how worth and most benefit using bitcoin as payment currency will have any country there accepted and allowed using bitcoin as legal payment.

If this happens, will the government just keep quiet ? or will give a warning ? or will support the program?

It depends on the country some may accept it, some are not since they consider it illegal. In my opinion they will first issue a program more like credit card or something that is cashless I think last thing might be happening is this cryptocurrency but we are not sure maybe some markets accept both credit/debit and cryptocurrency.

This might not happen even in a decade, but I'm sure more and more small businesses will massively support BTC in upcoming years, especially as USD gets less and less trustworthy

patient, in the next few decades, I believe we can use Bitcoin to shop in supermarkets...

You can order crypto debit card and pay via it everythere. This will be much faster than waiting for a mass adoption
this time, using a credit card/debit card today is certainly much easier and faster while waiting for bulk adoption.

I am looking forward to see that digital currencies will take fiat money's place in the future or to be a solid alternative for fiat money. I would prefer spending some Bitcoin on supermarkets etc. and also saving Bitcoin. Also, Bitcoin payment option can be found in various places now but it is not much prevalent all around the world.

Well, I think digital currencies will be taking over fiat money but I don't think it would be bitcoin itself. It would be a digital representation of the fiat currencies that we have now, but still, fiat will continue to be used in other places as well since not all of the countries could eventually shift to digital currencies. There are a lot of things to consider and one of them is the technological state of that country which is a problem in third world countries.
A lot of countries aren't having a reliable network connection everywhere in their country so it will be quiet difficult to shift to the digital payments and what I think that this shift from fiat to cryptocurrencies might take a lot of time as there are still many countries where there isn't any option for its citizens to pay digitally and once we achieve this then we can go for acceptance of cryptocurrencies worldwide. Only workaround currently is using the debit cards powered by bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies that charge a fee for the conversion but it can do good for a while until the mass adaption.

The lightning network would be the key I think we needed to push bitcoin into payment such as this in supermarkets. Transaction time is really a pain in bitcoin it can come fast and sometimes it takes days even weeks to get confirmed.

And with this kind of situation, I don't know how the sales person in supermarket can be patient till such a long time. Lately that we have seen fees for transaction go high, I'm sure some people might want to delay payment till a less volatile time but this is not going to be fine with the supermarket attendant. I see bitcoin as alternative for payment for the time we are.

May be some day we will get such an opportunity, but in my opinion it will not happen very soon))) at least it will not be so mass action)) like in lots of large shops or something like that. It depends on the local owner of the business wheather he would be ready to accept such means for payments, and even nowadays there are some people who practices such variant for payments. But in order BTC would become accepted by all the business and services it would be too many nuances worked out, adopted and implemented.

There are small businesses around the world (but only few) that are accepting payments using different cryptocurrencies, most commonly bitcoin.
Honestly, I am also excited to use bitcoin for payments on daily transactions that we are doing. Just wondering if they will be accepting payments for bitcoin that is equivalent to the price of dollar, or just a fixed amount of bitcoin on selling/offering their products/services.
What do you think?  Undecided
