There's a first time for everything. I was honestly expecting you to mention that he was already on your famous ignore list. I hear you've got quite the impressive stack building up. I never crossed paths with them, until one day I did. At first it was light-hearted, entertaining and honestly pretty pleasant. They're an extremely volatile individual, so as expected it soured and now there seems to be no more love.

At any rate, I imagine it would be hard for members to follow in your footsteps, TMAN. If they are seeking to become better members that accumulate merit without giving it any consideration, then I believe replicating your behaviors would be the wrong thing for them. You're quite the individual, and you serve a unique purpose. We can't all be like you, and I know that's not what you're suggesting these newbies do. I'm just warning these newbies that they cannot simply mimic your personality, being straightforward, harsh and to the point hoping that it will be their path. Pretty soon they'll be plagiarizing your posts, it always seems to happen once you start trying to provide assistance to the lower ranking members for some reason.

Was that a stab at digaran? I can't help but feel like it was.  Wink

I get the impression that I am one of the few members here who has no knowledge of digaran's posting. I think I read one of his posts, and I decided he was in a different world, and I haven't read any of them since. In fact I don't seem to read any of the threads in which he posts, so we don't seem to cross paths.

I just might write up an ebook on how to become a better Bitcointalk forum user, and with any luck TMAN will write the foreword. There's a lot of good information in your OP, and throughout the thread, but I would love to add much more onto the subject. It's much tougher than speaking fluent English, in fact quite a good chunk of merit gets moved around in local boards; increasingly more each day.

He explains how to get them without begging for them. Beggars are a real nuisance, especially the ones who won't read or work for their rewards.

i mean are you threatening us? Your topic says 'want some?" and here you are saying that dont PM me for merits?

I don't think you understand the definition of "threatening". Asking someone if they want some of what you have is not a threat, unless they are holding a weapon to you or have a clenched fist. The man is catching fish in the river, filling his boat and asking you if you are interested in the knowledge that has made his fishing trip so profitable. The fact that you believe TMAN offering you information to improve your position is a threat is indicative that you are not fit for the lessons being attempted.

Well, this topic is much better than one. where someone asked to find empty bitcoin blocks from the beginning Smiley Thanks for a good guide!

My mother tongue is not english, so I have difficulties on expressing myself in english when posting something. Thank you for this post TMAN. You inspire me learn and practice more english to become productive in this forum and not just shitposting.

While I appreciate the kind words, giving me virtual blowjobs wont get you merit. What you need to do is get out of this thread and action what I have suggested elsewhere.

Action speaks louder than word, that is what I did. These 7 merits that I got is the result of your advices.

The Next Evolution In Transaction Technology
.... Read technical discussion, read all of the most merited threads, understand the significance of Pizza day, the 2011 bubble, Cyprus, HODL, the fall of all the securities that some of us lost the equivalent of $Millions now.
....

Please, understand the significance of HOLD, spelled properly.

Ok I'll give you a chance as you are new, I will only say that I am right and you are wrong. Post the correct thread here and I'll give you a merit once you apologise.

LOL ... I'm a newbie on this site but into crypto since 2011 and this made me crack-up TMAN. TMAN is correct.

It's HODL ... pronounced "Hod" + "el" ... it's an expression for holding your cryptocurrency or not selling.

The story behind it is someone was posting better "hold" but misspelled  "HODL"  and it to off through the community as a slang term meaning "HOLD".

For those who actually want to level up and be a part of this community then I will do my best to advise you.
I am a WITNESS of what he have done with me. As you can see my latest post, I'm on my way to be good quality poster. He gave us challenges to manipulate our knowledge. This topic was given by him The Silk Road seized, and the downfall of Mt.Gox. I'm luckily to have a coach here to be a good poster. TMAN was my big time merit sender since when I join the forum and has 34 merit now because of his advices. 34 to 100 I think I can do this with the advices of TMAN.

I get it now. You are sharing your knowledge on how to acquire merits by learning first then practice what you learn. It's really a mind opening for me as a newbie. I will start to study in here, slowly but surely.Good quality is the better than quantity without good quality.

No, he's saying you failed to search for HODL and find out its history before posting.

I will say that was one of the funnest facts/history lessons I've had on this forum.

Oh sweet sweet alcohol.

* Remember a quality post isnt necessarily a long winded post, using words that make you sound like you swallowed a thesauras doesnt help your cause

..
..EDIT: use the search button, so many redundant threads

True, thank you.

...understand the significance of Pizza day, the 2011 bubble, Cyprus, HODL...

Please understand the significance of spelling HOLD correctly.

...you failed on the 1st part...
