It is a good idea to invest in many altcoins so that if one of your investment fails there's another chance that the other will succeed. I think it's a good idea to invest on the altcoins in rank 30 it has lesser risk than those in the lower rank.

Are you seriously giving advices to diversify that money? It is only $500, he can not diversify that money in a few altcoins. I would put it all on bitcoin and ethereum, and if he likes risk, then i would put it on one of those tokens that are below the top 300 of coinmarketcap.

What's the best way to diversify starting with $500. I am overwhelmed right now with all the coins i am interested in. I'm just not sure if i should be only focused on the top 10 or can i pick xxx coin that's ranked between #40-#150. I can say i like about 15-20 coins/tokens i just feel that's way to many for $500. I would like to put half in blue chip coin and invest in some alts with the remaining half. I was thinking put $50 into 4 atls???
Idk man, i'm trying my hardest to figure this out. lol thank you for any help.

Buy bitcoin by 50%, 30% top 10 and choose the rest at your own discretion and experience. It's hard to predict what will take off tomorrow, there are many such experts. Listen to yourself and draw conclusions from the result

This is a good time to invest in the crypto market because of its low price. With $ 500 you can buy a lot of altcoin out of the top 20 coinmarketcap, I recommend you choose the altcoin that has a good market capitalization, and has growth potential, because there are so many altcoin scams. Or it is best to buy in the top 20 coinmarketcap, even if it's a little. You can buy only 1 ETH, but an ETH can be more profitable and safer than many altcoin outside the top 20.

You can invest in top 10 coins but before that check how often their drop in price. Also you can invest in less popular coins and try to earn. If you do then better also check their team and whitepaper.

I think you need to search altcoin that have low price offer so you can invest your $500. Just do research before you invest if the project is good or have a potential to grow in the future so you will get good profit.
Yes, low value altcoins will help maximize return on investment. The altcoin value of less than $ 1 is my first choice when investing, these altcoin should be selected in the top 20 on the coinmarketcap. Remember to invest in good knowledge before deciding to invest more in this market.

Agreed, low value ones can maximize potential return...there're som any good options, NEO, ETH, LTC, or TRX, etc

Now you need to be very careful with where you invest, I would wait a little longer in your place because I personally have difficulties making predictions.

what type of trader for yourself? a daily trader or long term trader , or just a scalper? for 500% , you can only trade it for 150$, not more , for prevent big loss and burn your equity. so for 150$ i think you can buy a little satoshi like doge , xrp , and other similar rates.

i think the first thing you have to decide is what kind of investment you are willing to do: short term investment or long term. for long term i would recommend you to invest in something tried-and-true. the first tokens that come to mind, of course, btc or ethereum, or maybe litecoin. if you are thinking about short term investment, you could consider participating in ico. i would recommend you Merculet or Seele. But you can also look for projects on icodrops.com. I like this website, it's easy to find something worthy. but whatever decision you make, please make sure, you think a lot before investing. cause every investment is risky. think twice, find as much information as you can. never make fast decisions, and good luck)) hope my post was, at least, a bit useful))

Is there still some reason to diversify your investments if all of your altcoins fall down together with Bitcoin? I think there's no need to do that once fluctuations strike in your portfolio. Everyone experience it this past Q1, what about for this Q2?

I think that $ 500 is a big enough nominal for someone new to the crypto world, he'll be a little sad if he lose that much money.
If he don't want study - just need to wait a few weeks/months before the market will be bull. But there is really no such thing as an “easy” market to make money in, however some types of markets are more conducive to success than others.

You need remember about the 90/90/90 rule is a basic rule of trading. It means 90% of new traders lose 90% of their trading capital in the first 90 days. And 500$ is good amount to start your trading life.  Cool

Well, with $ 500 to invest in long-term and short-term does not make sense. Catch the wave of short-term investments and increase your capital. It doesn't make a lot of money.
Why does not it make sense? Blero mp3 If you invest $ 500 in coins, the price of which is only 10 or 50 cents, then such an investment makes sense.
