Now everyone who deals with crypto currency is in the same situation. However, not all, of course, invested in the crypto currency when it had such a large price. However, the crypto currency you acquire is quite promising, when the crypto-currency market will rise, it should grow well in price. Therefore, in your case, and also in ours, we should expect the market to grow. He must soon rise.

If you sell at loss you would regret when the market fully recovers. The market is not stable. It rises and drops. The price can never stay low forever.

I think at the present time you are patient and calm trying to wait for the market will recover and you will get back the money evaporated. By now it would be a mistake to sell the Altcoins you keep, you have the ability to profit.

Now the crypto market is not very good, so it's best, in my opinion, to keep and wait until the market is fully restored. A very difficult decision, but now you can buy some coins and take advantage of low prices for them, it's risky, but there's a sense in it.

Lot’s of people I know lost 90% and more this year but they still seem to be content, saying that the market will shify very soon...well they said this already a few months ago, but this time they are really sure. Hope dies at last.

So sorry about your loss.
Learn to invest some certain percentage of your capital to crypto.
Also do not be greedy,  take profit when you see... no matter how small.

Of course it's very sad that you lost half of your deposit, but on the other hand, we all lose something here, someone by virtue of their greediness loses almost all of its deposit, someone loses 20% of their deposit. We are all not perfect

6 months ago I posted this and the HODL traders said I was a fool. Well... they are down another 33% or more since then.
IF... you are posting here, then you are trying to talk yourselves into believing that your losses are part of the game and in the long run you'll be profitable.
YOU WON'T - You will lose, it's the way of the game.  Despair is yet to come, there is still another 25% drop coming. That doesn't mean there won't be rebounds, but lower we go....

Bitcoin - Headed a lot lower, back to the Mean
Like a lot of people on this Forum, I'm in pain right now too. My gains and profits are now turning into losses - capital is vanishing, melting, gone away. And it's going to get worse. I like reading the post here, it's a good community. BUT, lots of people are going to learn a hard lesson if they are trading like they say in their posts.

I've been trading markets for 35 years - as a job - and yep, I'm an old dude. I am still a trader and an accountant for a mid-size company; stocks, bonds, funds, options, futures, forwards, and a lot of currencies (thank god we aren't in Crypto-investments at work too).
Last year was seductive, I was doing well in all the markets (equity, debt, and crypto) - 'halcyon days'.  Last year, I had profits in Crypto, I was even buying into "it will be different this time."  But this year, I now have "unrealized" losses with some serious % numbers next to them. And I'm, from what I read, I'm not alone.

There are unavoidable Truths coming, if not already here. Lots of, if not most, people will lose in Crypto/Bitcoin investing. It’s just the way of the market. Holding to the end is a sure fire way to lose. Stepping up, ending a trade that’s losing money is so, so hard to do. But right now, it’s the only right answer. Save your capital, fight another day.

Good luck
The King Fisher and Wicked Pigeon

The classics never die.. they just find new markets.

From Jean-Paul Rodrigue (2017)
Bubbles can be very damaging, especially for those who arrived late with the hope of getting something for nothing. Even if they are inflationary events, the outcome of a bubble’s blow off is very deflationary as large quantities of capital vanish in the wave of bankruptcies and financial defaults they trigger. Historically, they tended to be far in-between, but the scale and amplitude of bubbles has accelerated; web/technology stocks (deflated in 2000), real estate (deflated in 2006), commodities (deflated in 2008) and crypto-currencies such as Bitcoin (deflated in 2018).

So I basically got fomoed. Towards the end of 2017 I saw how high bitcoin skyrocketed and decided to invest in ripple as a test. Less than one week it went up 3x. This made me more ballsy and I put in 11k total in various other alt coins like ripple, ethos, tron, and cardano. After the crash I lost about half of my value just like that. I am frustrated with the experience and wish I would have just put in 1k or something. I wish I could just not invested and went into what I was doing earlier which was just investing the boring and traditional way. Should I wait and hodl or pull out and do something else?
Hope you can recover that amount, it is possible though, the market is volatile to the point where such a big loss can be recovered in a couple of days.
Don't stress yourself and move on from your losses because you couldn't do anything to return it back instead do your best to erned it back though it is hard enough to earn a lot of profit from now because of the degraded value of the crypto market so you should be patience enough to wait for that time.

Earn more money and you will be happy that you were in that sad situation, only work will save you from such thoughts and regrets about losses I think.

most of us have lost our crypto funds because of this market crash . If you haven't sold them at a higher price then just keep holding for a good price .that's what I'm doing now . don't sell with a loss . just my opinion . do a good research before getting a decision

Right, do your own research before making a decision. If the coin has the potential to grow again, keep holding it. However, if the opposite, then sell with a little loss for the better. Then start investing again with coins that have potential because at this time the price of each coin is very cheap.

In fact. Personally, My portfolio was decreasing very fast. I've lost about 75% of my portfolio. Actually, this is the very sad situation for me. Not only for me. That situation is affective for all crypto workers. Day by day, portfolio going downwards. I think the best thing to do is, HOLD. The hold is the only option we have at this time for recovering our lost. So be patient and wait for coming to the bull market.

my investments after 8 months fell 4 times! the part was invested in various ISOs but after entering the exchange, tokens and coins fell at times! so at the moment I just sit and hope for a bullish trend!

ICO investment is profitable when many stupid investors in 2017 believe that ICO is always making money, so even if it is a fraudulent ICO, it quickly gains a soft-cap. ICO investors should make sure that it is a long-term investment

I think you have to adjust your mentality. This market is very volatile and I think you should keep a cool mind to analyze this market. Get your lesson and put your chin up, better to learn more about the markets.

That's all settled with currency, and money likes investments and turnover. The fall provokes severe legislative regulation in large countries, institutional investment, or the slow speed of transactions in the network of bitcoins.

Many investors lose their money during the red market. Someone starts to panic and sell. And many have patience and hold. And after a while the market will return.

If you didnt sell your crypto at the dip - you didnt lose anything! Sure, it is a bad way to sell your crypturrencies because of panic sale.

Not only do you have such a problem, now it's like that for everyone. And we have not lost or rather "the price of our earnings has fallen dramatically," it is not worth worrying about. Eternity this will not last. I think in the middle of autumn the market will begin the process of recovery. Sorry for misspellings.
