You have to learn from your mistakes, it will make you wiser. And next time you will carefully choose projects for investment. The loss of half it's hard, but try to wait, and maybe you can significantly reduce your losses.

You only commit the loss once you sell. Many times once your emotions lead you to selling, its right when everyone elses emotions are selling as well. Large investors know this, and are buying when you are selling. How many times have people FOMO's in, and then sold the bottom. It's important to learn not to do this. If you FOMO in, hold on tight and don't sell the bottom. Be patient. Its a long term thing here.

Losing money is  part of business. But then what u have to do with the remaining half is to hold it for some few months, since the crypto prices are still recovering.  Perhaps u may get profit that will compensate for your loss

So I basically got fomoed. Towards the end of 2017 I saw how high bitcoin skyrocketed and decided to invest in ripple as a test. Less than one week it went up 3x. This made me more ballsy and I put in 11k total in various other alt coins like ripple, ethos, tron, and cardano. After the crash I lost about half of my value just like that. I am frustrated with the experience and wish I would have just put in 1k or something. I wish I could just not invested and went into what I was doing earlier which was just investing the boring and traditional way. Should I wait and hodl or pull out and do something else?
First lesson: never invest what you can't afford to loose..
Secondly: if you can't take the loss I advice you hold... Those coins.. Till December this year

I think that now it became clear that the best solution- is to HODL your coins. Correction has passed and I think that soon your coins will fly to the moon. Wink

If you have not sold your coins - you have not lost anything yet. You became an investor. You have a great prospect of getting your money back and even making a profit. The main thing is not to panic and not do emotional actions

Sorry to hear that. I honestly think alot of people are in the same situation as you are. Selling at a loss is not an option in my opinion because some point in time it will go back to the price you bought it, the ideal thing to do is to buy more at a lower price to average the price and to hold it until it comes back up. It is really frustrating to see your holdings go down on fiat value but you need time, patience and discipline in order to be able to recover your losses, discipline is the key.
for what do you speak discipline? every person who engages in financial activities must control their emotions. And if you are an experienced person, you can minimize all your risks .

It is not only you, many investors have suffered during this slump period. At present, they don't have much options. The best thing to do is to hold whatever coins you have got and wait till the market recovers. In the meantime, concentrate on participating bounties.

The prices of all coins will return within 5 years, you invested because you believed the prices will increase, so keep hold of your investment and wait for the bulls.

You should be aware before investing in a crypto, choose between etherum or Bitcoin and do not choose another type to avoid risk, and you should be patient and not worried about problem solving in a condition when the price is cheap.

As you can see, to get with the fraud and loss of cryptocurrency is very easy, so modern investors must be very meticulous in their acquisition. And it is important not only what you will buy, but also where the operation will happen with digital money. We offer a selection of rules that reduce risk, but of course, to ensure their funds are 100% impossible.
- Carefully study the cryptocurrency, which will be traded. Scout the whole story, technical aspects of its existence and views from other users.
- Diversification means between multiple exchanges, not using the services of just one of them. It is desirable to have in your arsenal of at least three trading platforms.
- Do not chase megaprofitom and do not buy very much junk coins in the hope that they used to be "shot". It is very likely that this will never happen.
- If you're new to kriptoinvestitsiyah, it should not be your entire bank to start in a new deal for you. Do not give in to the old sources of income and add cryptocurrency in the portfolio as a pilot investment tool. Furthermore, if the investment income will be, the share of money allocated to the basement can be increased.

Cryptocurrency for many seems an easy way to earn money and, unfortunately, like a magnet, attracts all sorts of scams. Be wary, invest wisely and wisely, and you succeed to not get their selfish bait.

hopefully consider it a lesson learned in jumping too soon. look at the general trend of where things are going. you will get back to where you invested. if you get jumpy again and try to cut your losses it'll probably just then immediately rebound.

The best thing to do is just hold your coin because  the price might still grow up and do not do the same thing like other traders who are very nervous and panicking so they end up selling their coins at the lowest price and that's the time they lost most of their investment.

When we already lost a half of the value, hodl will be only good thing to do or even buy more while cheap if we still have some money to spend.

If you sell at loss you would regret when the market fully recovers.
Just chill and hodl. Better days ahead

the advice will be to hold on to its asset, irrespective of the extent of loss. if he is watching the market from the time he started the thread he should have seen some surge in price now. The loss is due to lack of knowledge in trade, you dont buy when the price is high but when it dumps. There will always be a correction in price then wait till the correction takes place and put your money.

We do not lose anything until the time when we decide to get rid of the altcoins and sell them. Today, this is not the best period for selling cryptocurrency. real enthusiasts and good traders even try to buy more coins.
