For funds trading altcoin, $1K is enough for me. Because with that amount, I can meet needs of life only from trading. So, my salary from work can be stored intact.

It take a long time to break even in cloud mining, setting up mining
rig will be a better idea if your electricity cost is low. You can use a mining profitability calculator to analyse your earnings.

Of course, buying the coins you are interested in will be easier.

That is good. I advise to invest in bitcoin if you want long-term, and invest on altcoin if want fast. but choose altcoin that is really potential, and do not choose a new altcoin, because it can be a scam.

As much as many new altcoins in the form of ICOs can be scams, there is so much value to be missed out on if you completely ignore ICOs or coins that have just completed ICO. People just need to be sensible with where they invest their money and make sure they do their due diligence.  Otherwise I agree.

Well $1000 is a good amount to start investing, I would prefer investing in both bitcoins and ethereum as they both are showing great profit at both short and long term investment. But always buy at low and sell at high or after you bought bitcoins just hold them for as long as possible because bitcoins prices will be increasing as their demands and popularity are increasing.I think that cloud mining a risky strategy to earn profits, bitcoins are best for long term investment.

If $1000 is applied to passive investments, bitcoin is the best answer, but I think half of it is better used for gambling, we are free to do anything because humans always have advantages and must be searched manually and not based on prospects of others.

Alright, let's say I have a budget of 1000 USD and I want to invest it into cryptocurrency. Is it better to buy my own setup and mine or do cloud mining or should I buy some coins directly ? What cryptocurrency might be the best for long-term profit ? I am willing to lose that money (although I would be sad ofc) but I wanna somehow start with cryptos since I believe it has got a great future.

Most cloud mining are scams so stay away from it. Mining with $1000 usd? Not sure if that is enough, the prices for mining items alone has risen tremendously, 5000 usd might be quite enough to get your own best items for the best prices. But, it is difficult to setup a mining rig because most of it are sold out or too expensive. I cannot see into the future, if I could I would buy 5000 BTC when it is cheap. So, the lesson is do your own research first before you get into cryptocurrency. Do not ever be a FOMO (Fear Of Missing Out) and diversify you altcoin portfolio.
Investing 1000SD is not enough increase your budget up to 5000SD TO invest in the BTC And join the community of cryptocurrency investors by which you will gain huge profit dint get into the hands of scammers there is no such low investment nowadays the only major one is BTC and you should invest in it.
Why would you say $1000 is not enough ? It depends on what you want to use it for but any amount is enough and that amount is even a very good amount to start earning something tangible.

If the OP can put his mind like few weeks into learning trading and practicing a little with some little amount first until he is sure it is something he can do with some little confidence for a start, that amount can increase faster than he would expect.

i think its expensive to mining it is possible offgrid you should start trading which is risky but long term its profitable
To start with trade is too dangerous. The fact that OP is willing to lose your $ 1000 does not mean that it should be done. the best option for a beginner is to buy a GPU to mine bitcoins. During this time, you can learn what is cryptocurrency and experiment on a demo account. Many exchanges provide such an opportunity. A few coins you can earn on the forum when your level of knowledge will meet the requirements of the companies. When you have startup capital in cryptocurrency and experience can start trading.
Why just study the trading and put aside the $1000 money in a safe place while he is studying trading so after studying it then he can do trading and make money with that $1000. $1000 capital for mining is not a good capital to start and it will just lead to boredom since you will be earning a small amount of money with that and the best is to do trading because you can double that amount in less than a month.
Trading is good for such amount but it require a lot of experience and experience comes from the skills so one must start after learning each and every aspect of trading and stay connected to this forum this will help you a lot to develop skills and then completely get into the crypto you will be successful as other investors were before and crypto will not let you down.

I'll advice you to allot in both bitcoin and altcoins. $1000 is really a good start to invest in cryptocurrency. Investing in bitcoin will always be a good investment for it's pricing is going up most of the time. If you do allot some of it to altcoin, put some on altcoin with great potential. Here are some of potential altcoins which might rise in pricing in a couple of months: Waves, Golem, OmiseGO, Steemit and Bitsense.

Investment cryptocurrency is the best choice to earn profit right now, I also invest tens of thousands of USD for cryptocurrency bitcoin, ETH and other coins. Based on my experience, almost all coins are profitable because of rising prices.

I would do such thing specially if that 1k usd is my last amount to put on investment.I would rather practice first on demo tradings and enhancing my trading skills overtime and practice until you get the basic things unlike on hurrying up on trading and risking that money on the first time or practicing trading. It wont really be a wise thing to do.Mining isnt really a good choice unless if you do decide to build large scale mining.

It's good to mine some altcoins with that kind of money. Cloud mining is just a ponzi scheme 99.99% of them are just pure scammers don't invest your hars earned money on hyip.

should I buy some coins directly ? What cryptocurrency might be the best for long-term profit ? I am willing to lose that money
You should go and start trading with some small amount and you're getting the hang of it try it with a bigger bid. Always check on altcoin speculation on when to buy or sell you're altcoins.

mining is kinda expensive based on what i heard
so you need more tha  1000usd
buying and trading coins is best

of course it's more expensive.. especially if you consider how competitive the market has become.. a simple computer and a fancy graphics cards won't cut it nowadays. The best bet imo, is to buy directly BTC and just hold it, the problem is finding an exchange or broker that is compliant in your country (going through KYC) and making sure that he's legit (check the website/reviews etc.) Good luck

If i were you, i will use $1000 to invest on low cap coins that has great potential and have active development. I will pick 4-5 coins and hodl them until then sell everytime there is a pump.
This is a very good idea but I think it all depends on your skills. If you think you can manage to make out enough profit by investing in low coins, then you should definitely go for it. Otherwise Bitcoin is a very safe option if you are a beginner. You need to learn the things well before making any decision.

I think it would be better if you come into buying bitcoin or ethereum right now because it really has a big potential that it will have a great future as we can see right now. But if you wanna go for long-term earnings maybe you'll have to do some trading or maybe joining in some ICO. A thousand bucks is a huge budget for that and regarding to fo mining I think that budget is not enough because you will be needing a very good computer parts for that and plus is the electricity you consume in mining is much and I guess it's not profitable if you only have that budget.
