Food price, Gas price and few other things are now very costly in my country, this sudden turn of event has affected too many lives, even those that are living comfortably before can't do it anymore, the cruelest of them all is workers salaries are still the same, now they are using all the money they get from salary per month to survive, starting and ending with buying foods.
My family members are now using their legs to walk down to their offices and business locations, because of gas rates is also high, and the worst part is I don't see this going away anytime sooner, inflation is doing its thing and the country Fiat currency keeps losing value against the dollar.
I would have been in this mess if not for crypto trading and mining, also my signature campaign payment is adding up to my expenses every week, I would be saying something different if my business is something else in the real world, things look less tighten for me because my foundation was on crypto from day one.

If you are residing near the country side, then there is a farmers market where you can buy cheap and fresh goods, but if you are in the metro area, that is really the problem, as everything is expensive and there are times that the cheap is of bad quality, but others are also when it is too late in the night and only a few people are buying fresh foods, and others tend to lower their price so that their goods are already sold and they can go home.
It is really lucky if you have a backyard or an open area where you can make it a garden and plant foods in there because it can save you money, you can use it, it is fresh, and for sure it is safe as it is all organic and no pesticide was sprayed on it.
It is not necessary to reside near the country side for buying cheap food of a great quality during the harvest seasons. Maybe you are working too much in the office and you don't know what going on on the streets around. Just ask people and they will tell you that these markets are arranged regularly somewhere near you. I've seen them in Hamburg, Munich, Geneva and Kyiv(where I live rn), I think they are everywhere. Am I wrong? Do you really don't have them where you live?
I think the situation is different from country to country. I've small markets near supermarkets and a central market where farmers trade their harvest. I cant say that the variety of their supply is very different, as I see same vegetables at summer and winter almost in same amounts. As well as prices arent much different. Like same potatoes cost during winter just 10-15% more than at summer. Also I cant claim that prices on these markets are cheaper than in supermarkets or have much better taste.

Of course droughts hurt production,and due to the drought in the US the prices have increased to some extent, but in America, if the prices of commodities increase, check the per capita income there, which is much higher than our country, so people there are not much affected by inflation.While the prices of food items in our country are calculated according to the global market, salaries and income are not calculated according to the global market or the world, due to which we cannot fight inflation. Things are bad in our country not because of drought, but because of political instability. The country is getting worse.
Be it wheat, sugar, rice or vegetables, the prices of everything are getting expensive day by day and one of the major reasons for this is the volatility of oil prices. This is another thing we must understand that the more years passes bye the more prices of food keeps soaring, do you know that at year 2000 people were also crying for the sudden increased after moving from 1500 then to 2000 and then moved to 2500, so it has been counting till dates and there's no day years or months per says we don't always experience increased in food prices.

We still need to blame sir why because they aren't putting enough budgets into agriculture, to me agriculture should be the major target of every country, especially country like Nigeria my country where we have a very big landscape at the northern region and can be used for food production. If our country is producing about 60 to 80 percent of farm products I don't there could be food scarcity in country today but for this we solely depends on importation of food products even as common as tomatoes, we do import it from other neighboring which makes no sense to us.
I understand the importance of agriculture but there is a sadder reality happening. I don't know what it's like in your country, but my country is also an agricultural country. The sad thing is that even when the Government has policies to encourage agricultural development, people do not want to do it. As the world becomes more and more modern, people want to do light, cool jobs and no longer want to do heavy, arduous jobs like agriculture. Looking at today's Gen Z generation, do you see anyone who wants to work in agriculture anymore? They only pursue technology, jobs that don't get their hands dirty. It is people like us who are also contributing to changing the landscape of agriculture in the world.

yeah, Rice is a particularly high growing food in my country. In addition, oil is also trending up significantly. I thought inflation is a global threat to every country. I don't think there is any country that will denied that the purchasing power of his country is the same in the last 4 years, there is global inflation, even US that is been seen as the number 1 most savy economy know how are also battling inflation, only that there own is manageable when you compared them with other countries that are experiencing over inflation in their country.
The monetary system design of money have it's own disadvantages and that's what we are experiencing years after the years, inflation will remain a big problem to people as long we use money daily, inflation will be a problem is there should be war and price of everything will continue to go up if they keep printing money the way they want.

There are many petty farmers who are primarily farming to feed their families and make a little money for other reasons. Once there are many in that neighbourhood, supply will crash the price and you can be surprised at what you are buying for your money. I've even seen Youtubers making mention of this. So, it's real.

Inflation in our country is increasing day by day and the prices of daily necessities have increased enormously. Our country ranks fourth in the world in rice production but still rice is available here at Rs 350 per kg. Which was available at Rs 70 per kg a few years ago. The economy of our country has become very bad which was very good till 2016, after that the condition of the country is going to the worst,and the main reason for this is the intervention of the army everywhere.

The electricity situation is also worse, firstly there is no electricity and if it comes then the bills have increased so much. That people are forced to disconnect their electricity. It's known that we are having a global inflation and food prices really got so high. It's a bad thing for majority of people especially for those who are in the lower class who are just trying to survive. My food monthly budget increased by 50% from last year which is I think a very fast price jump. Everything in my country became expensive which affects my crypto accumulation given that it affected my budget to be used in accumulating. I'm aware of the global inflation but it worsen because of the obvious government corruption in my country. Life is hard nowadays, we need to have extra source of income to sustain our normal lives.

The fact is that it is like that. In fact, the current condition of farmers can be said to be very disadvantageous in several countries. But for a small family maybe 1-2 zak is enough and don't think too much about it.
