But I was wondering if this only happened in my country or in your country too?
Yeah the price of food is high nowadays on every side of the world if we talk about the U.S. the western part of this country has been affected by drought which is a production side and the prices there are very high . The drought affects the agriculture sector badly but if I talk about my country the prices are very high due to this drought as well as the political instability which goes towards higher prices of goods and daily life stuff. The vegetables are very high, the wheat pack crosses an all-time high price which makes a poor person difficult tu buy it. These are only two stuff I mentioned besides this a lot more were present that downfall our economy.
This happens in almost all developing countries whose governments are not ready to regulate the global changes that are occurring to provide relief on prices that the community can afford.
I think the role of the government is quite big and it also depends on whether poor countries or developed countries regulate everything. The increase in food prices cannot be separated from the global crisis which makes all prices increase and has an impact on food prices in every country.

Yeah it can't be separated as the economy really having a tough time in almost every country, both rich and poor country are also affected by this situation.

More on how the government understands the aide that the community needs and how they will use their
capabilities to provide and help those people who are really struggling with how the economy is taking
them, high price of every commodities while salaries are not being increase, things that the government
is really needed to address to balance the lives of their people.

Food price, Gas price and few other things are now very costly in my country, this sudden turn of event has affected too many lives, even those that are living comfortably before can't do it anymore, the cruelest of them all is workers salaries are still the same, now they are using all the money they get from salary per month to survive, starting and ending with buying foods.

My family members are now using their legs to walk down to their offices and business locations, because of gas rates is also high, and the worst part is I don't see this going away anytime sooner, inflation is doing its thing and the country Fiat currency keeps losing value against the dollar.

I would have been in this mess if not for crypto trading and mining, also my signature campaign payment is adding up to my expenses every week, I would be saying something different if my business is something else in the real world, things look less tighten for me because my foundation was on crypto from day one.

If you are residing near the country side, then there is a farmers market where you can buy cheap and fresh goods, but if you are in the metro area, that is really the problem, as everything is expensive and there are times that the cheap is of bad quality, but others are also when it is too late in the night and only a few people are buying fresh foods, and others tend to lower their price so that their goods are already sold and they can go home.

It is really lucky if you have a backyard or an open area where you can make it a garden and plant foods in there because it can save you money, you can use it, it is fresh, and for sure it is safe as it is all organic and no pesticide was sprayed on it.

It is not necessary to reside near the country side for buying cheap food of a great quality during the harvest seasons. Maybe you are working too much in the office and you don't know what going on on the streets around. Just ask people and they will tell you that these markets are arranged regularly somewhere near you. I've seen them in Hamburg, Munich, Geneva and Kyiv(where I live rn), I think they are everywhere. Am I wrong? Do you really don't have them where you live?

I think the situation is different from country to country. I've small markets near supermarkets and a central market where farmers trade their harvest. I cant say that the variety of their supply is very different, as I see same vegetables at summer and winter almost in same amounts. As well as prices arent much different. Like same potatoes cost during winter just 10-15% more than at summer. Also I cant claim that prices on these markets are cheaper than in supermarkets or have much better taste.

Food prices may increase in other countries of the world as well. Of course droughts hurt production, and due to the drought in the US the prices have increased to some extent, but in America, if the prices of commodities increase, check the per capita income there, which is much higher than our country, so people there are not much affected by inflation. While the prices of food items in our country are calculated according to the global market, salaries and income are not calculated according to the global market or the world, due to which we cannot fight inflation. Things are bad in our country not because of drought, but because of political instability. The country is getting worse.

Be it wheat, sugar, rice or vegetables, the prices of everything are getting expensive day by day and one of the major reasons for this is the volatility of oil prices. Oil prices keep changing which affects everything and prices go up. Some things happen by nature like drought', but this state of our country is because of our own people, our rulers and powerful people, some of whom are seen on the screen and some are giving instructions from behind the curtain. . Due to which the poor were already suffering, now the middle class people have become difficult to live.

This is another thing we must understand that the more years passes bye the more prices of food keeps soaring, do you know that at year 2000 people were also crying for the sudden increased after moving from 1500 then to 2000 and then moved to 2500, so it has been counting till dates and there's no day years or months per says we don't always experience increased in food prices.

The funniest part is that government refused to control the prices and make things very easier to her citizens but we kept hoping for a better country and a better nation. Well I wouldn't want to further as I believe is a globally crisis and at this hard time countries are finding it very difficulty to cope and some people are living a debt filled Life, meaning their salaries sometimes do not foot their bills at the current situation considering the food price at present.

We have the right to complain and criticize the government because we are increasingly unable to meet life's needs. The government is the leader of the country and they need to be partly responsible for us. But if we look at the overall picture of the world economy, we will see the difficulties that governments are also facing. All countries are closely linked and interdependent, so if only a few countries encounter difficulties, the remaining countries will inevitably be affected. Therefore, forcing the government to completely solve the problem for us is very difficult for them.
If the world had no war, no inflation, no energy crisis, no food crisis. We can blame our government entirely, but this is happening all over the world.

We still need to blame sir why because they aren't putting enough budgets into agriculture, to me agriculture should be the major target of every country, especially country like Nigeria my country where we have a very big landscape at the northern region and can be used for food production. If our country is producing about 60 to 80 percent of farm products I don't there could be food scarcity in country today but for this we solely depends on importation of food products even as common as tomatoes, we do import it from other neighboring which makes no sense to us.

I understand the importance of agriculture but there is a sadder reality happening. I don't know what it's like in your country, but my country is also an agricultural country. The sad thing is that even when the Government has policies to encourage agricultural development, people do not want to do it. As the world becomes more and more modern, people want to do light, cool jobs and no longer want to do heavy, arduous jobs like agriculture. Looking at today's Gen Z generation, do you see anyone who wants to work in agriculture anymore? They only pursue technology, jobs that don't get their hands dirty. It is people like us who are also contributing to changing the landscape of agriculture in the world.

yeah, Rice is a particularly high growing food in my country. In addition, oil is also trending up significantly. After the data published by FAO in early August, this really causes concern for poor people. They really face very high risks when it comes to ensuring daily food. Continues to be the main issue that drives inflation to continue to increase relative to the value of money that can be earned.
The same goes for my country, rice is no longer cheap and despite that, there's a set price ceiling for it. This is damaging the retailers and businessmen that are into the rice business. Apart from that, our government has imported a lot of metric tons just to let a supply go into the market to drive the prices down. Our country has become the top importer of rice and that made us on top of China which is the top importer of rice.
That's a lot of sense to think of because we're even tremendous times smaller than China but the demand of rice here is high because it is our staple food.

I thought inflation is a global threat to every country. I don't think there is any country that will denied that the purchasing power of his country is the same in the last 4 years, there is global inflation, even US that is been seen as the number 1 most savy economy know how are also battling inflation, only that there own is manageable when you compared them with other countries that are experiencing over inflation in their country.

The monetary system design of money have it's own disadvantages and that's what we are experiencing years after the years, inflation will remain a big problem to people as long we use money daily, inflation will be a problem is there should be war and price of everything will continue to go up if they keep printing money the way they want.

In my locality, the price of 50 kg of rice is 40,000 naira, which is $51. Now check the difference between the price in my locality and yours. It is a very big difference. This is to show that the economy in my country is not friendly at all, and earlier in the year 2000, the price of rice was 2500 naira but today, the year 2023 the price of a rice bag is scary when quoted the recent price.
The situation in Nigeria is getting worse by day and it does not give any sign of changes to the citizens, like just some months ago the price of fuel has increased and still no light.

The first thing you should establish is whether or not you guys are living in the same country. If you are not, then you can't expect the same arrangement as his at all times. However, his own narration best fits my country and many countries I've been to, you get to purchase the farm products very cheaply when you are living near to the farmers, and it could be ridiculously cheap at times to the point that what you buy there might be priced x5 elsewhere in the city. It might not necessarily be a far place, it might be a neighbouring town to you, and this kind of jumbo happens in many places in my country as long as they are border towns.

There are many petty farmers who are primarily farming to feed their families and make a little money for other reasons. Once there are many in that neighbourhood, supply will crash the price and you can be surprised at what you are buying for your money. I've even seen Youtubers making mention of this. So, it's real.

Inflation in our country is increasing day by day and the prices of daily necessities have increased enormously. Our country ranks fourth in the world in rice production but still rice is available here at Rs 350 per kg. Which was available at Rs 70 per kg a few years ago. The economy of our country has become very bad which was very good till 2016, after that the condition of the country is going to the worst, and the main reason for this is the intervention of the army everywhere.

getting 50 kilos of rice for around $60, our situation is worse than yours, the situation in Pakistan like Nigeria is getting worse day by day and it has become difficult for people to eat two meals a day. Petrol prices have reached Rs 350 per litre. Which was less than 100 rupees some time ago, they increase the price of petrol every 15 days. The electricity situation is also worse, firstly there is no electricity and if it comes then the bills have increased so much. That people are forced to disconnect their electricity. Pakistani people also do not see any hope of improvement in the situation. Our military generals do not allow the government to do any work for the welfare of the people and try to impose their will, which is leading to the destruction of the country.

It's known that we are having a global inflation and food prices really got so high. It's a bad thing for majority of people especially for those who are in the lower class who are just trying to survive. My food monthly budget increased by 50% from last year which is I think a very fast price jump. Everything in my country became expensive which affects my crypto accumulation given that it affected my budget to be used in accumulating. I'm aware of the global inflation but it worsen because of the obvious government corruption in my country. Life is hard nowadays, we need to have extra source of income to sustain our normal lives.

It is true that global inflation is occurring, perhaps not felt in some places where the per capita income of the population is high, but it is quite noticeable for those with low income. That's right, what you say will indirectly affect and change the value of our investment plans in the crypto world. yes. Fulfillment of basic needs for the family is priority scale no. 1. If there are excess cash reserves, then the rest will be comfortable and safe to invest rather than forcing it or borrowing from other people.

Rice is not cheap
Flour is not cheap.
Milk is not cheap.

I was spending $100 usd a week to feed my wife and I in 2019
I spend over 200 usd a week now.

...and that is the fact that we feel now, the amount of money we spend is not enough and is not commensurate with the value of the goods we used to buy. everything is on the rise even though different places have different prices.

But in several countries currently there are still many citizens who have a high interest in agriculture, including the younger generation there. But in my country, namely Indonesia, I think the younger generation is very rarely interested in entering and studying the agricultural sector.

So many of the farmers here are old and they worry that their children will not continue the agricultural sector that they have managed for generations. Because most young people here when they inherit agricultural land, they tend to sell the agricultural land or convert it into another industrial sector.

That's right, and that's happening now even though our parents used to live mostly in agriculture and continued to send them to school up to tertiary institutions by working hard by farming.

Well, indeed we know that the need for housing is very high due to the increasing population and the demand for land to build shop buildings, especially if the land is on the side of the road or is strategic and is the most sought after and valuable.

It is very likely that the younger generation considers selling their assets practical even though their intentions are turning here and there. but if he wants to buy it again and looks for exactly the same as what he sold, maybe there is, but the price is no longer the same, it's getting higher, it's impossible for him to buy it.

The fact is that it is like that. In fact, the current condition of farmers can be said to be very disadvantageous in several countries. They have to face increasing fertilizer prices which continue to skyrocket. But sometimes agricultural products are not priced too high. Even though food prices are currently rising. But actually fertilizer prices have a much bigger increase. And now many farmers have finally given up and changed professions. So a lot of agricultural land was then converted into industrial factories or even housing. In fact, I think that currently the younger generation's interest in the world of agriculture is really decreasing. Because they know that the potential profits from agriculture are not as great as in previous years. If this is left unchecked, food production will indeed decrease. Meanwhile, the human population will increase. But I always want to think well. While still hoping that the world of agriculture will finally be given better attention. And I believe it will happen.

I happened to check the price of rice at my place, for one bag of rice weighing 15 kg now the price has reached $15 (if we convert it to USDT currency) which previously was only $11. It does seem like the difference is small, only $4. However, if there are many family members, perhaps the monthly need will be high, for example for 1 month you need 4 zak. But for a small family maybe 1-2 zak is enough and don't think too much about it.
In my locality, the price of 50 kg of rice is 40,000 naira, which is $51. Now check the difference between the price in my locality and yours. It is a very big difference. Its about global inflation or not but current my country Indonesia condition very tragic with food price increasing up exactly with rice get up drastically more than 20%. Current price for rice with 15kg we got it around under $10 and for this months we have pay more than $14. More drastically increasing up and rice is most important food needed by our citizen, have bad economic condition actually with offline market looks very quiet. Its happening almost two months and get bad impact with the price of basic necessities is getting more expensive day by day, we need side passive income how to be able to cover our income still not increasing up yet.

How about your country get high inflation of some basic necessities price? how do you manage well if that happening for long term with our capital not increasing up yet?
