Our current government is only focused on the election of the new President bro.
Our economy is getting worse and society is divided into groups that attack each other.

When economic inequality cannot be addressed there are many negative things that happen.
Life is not worth living and those in leadership are just watching.

As for increasing employment, that's still quite far from reality.
There is a lot of unemployment and those who finish high school do not necessarily get a job.

The government is not very prosperous for farmers, they prefer to import foodstuffs rather than foodstuffs from their own country.

I think the agricultural sector is often not a priority in a country. Because there is always a lot of funds for building roads and the like rather than for helping agricultural land such as making modern irrigation and so on. In fact, farmers are rarely helped in obtaining modern tools for farming. Even the price of fertilizer is also getting more expensive. Likewise in animal husbandry. Feed prices are getting more expensive. But we also can't completely complain about this to the government. Because we ourselves are also responsible for ourselves and the sector we enter. But I also hope that the agricultural sector can be given better attention by every government in the world. Because food is the main thing in this world to support life.
the elected government of every country is obliged to take care of their citizens, otherwise why would we elect them.

anyway, the development of road infrastructure must also be balanced with the attention given by the government to agriculture because good infrastructure can provide fast access to distribution.

Let's just look at what the Chinese government is currently doing, they have food reserves that are large enough and are estimated to be able to support all of their citizens in the next few years, but infrastructure development in their country is also in line.  in third world countries, what i noticed is that the government is only busy enriching itself, development and agriculture don't get equal attention so they only rely on exchanges from foreign countries.

In this case I think it depends on the country itself that prioritises an aspect. When in an agricultural country, it is important to do the best for agriculture because this will be very helpful even though sometimes there are some countries that do not see this but for developed agricultural countries such as Japan, they actually do very good things for agriculture, especially after the tsunami that devastated their country even for now Japan enforces agriculture as one of the important sectors in the country's economy and is a great source of income for farmers.

But for agrarian countries that are still in the development stage sometimes do not really see agriculture as an important sector and lack of attention even though it is one of the things that is very good to be utilised.
So in this case I think it depends on the country's policy when talking about this because we cannot equalise all countries in policies towards agriculture.
Government does still have a role when it comes to their economic situation specially on prices of goods and other stuffs which if they do saw that there's some possible shortage then exportation should be halted because we know that if the consumption overall is high but the supply is less then you would really be expecting on higher price or increasing which there's no sense that if the government would really be deciding on continuing those exportation which it is one of the few conditions or situations which does shows that government decisions and laws could really give out such impact in overall. Somewhat there are some commodities or areas which cant really be totally be stopped specially if its value is really basing up on market value. They would normally be that be adjusting basing up on where they could really be able to have that profit margin out of those suppliers of foods or simply with those goods. Therefore, as a citizen who does have that struggling on food prices or other commodities then it would really be just that common sense or wise thing to be thinking up of
on having another source of income on which it could really make you that able to sustain and afford on whatever things you wanted to purchase on and not only limited to food only but also in other things.

I agree with this, although what the government has attempted to do by building infrastructure in the form of upgrading or building new ones such as roads, bridges and so on is also a priority. But, the basics must also be touched upon, of course. Today, many natural phenomena occur and one of them is the devastating floods in Libya with 2% of the Libyan population dead and missing (Condolences for this disaster). So, if we look at what is focused on, the main thing is basic fulfillment, health and then post-incident rehabilitation.

It should be, aside from infrastructures, there should be additional aid that the government should be preparing, like with what happened currently in Libya. it's an un-plan disaster that needs to address or to anticipate.

We can't control everything and same with the government, the inflations affects the prices of the basic needs
additional concern that should also be taking care of the government to help, especially those poor communities
who really need help the most.

I think this is related to inflation. Of course, our country will also experience an increase in food prices. This is really bad for those who have low salaries in their jobs. they only run out of necessities to get a salary. I think this is the time to start thinking about investing to fight inflation.

Right now, it's not just food that has gone up, but fuel per liter has gone up again here. It seems like it's not enough to tell drivers not to drive cars so that they won't be affected by expensive fuel. Then, when it comes to food, it's enough to say that we people don't eat because of the price of the goods. But it's true what some say here: we need to find another way to earn money, not just one that knows how to budget but also one that increases the source of income apart from the job that we have.
What choice do we have? Give up that modest daily diet that leaves much to be desired? So you can stretch your hooves. This is where the option of finding an additional source of income comes in. There is a minus and a very big one - this is the amount of free time remaining. It should be distributed wisely and not wasted. It may not even be available for communication on the forum. Physical fatigue also takes its toll and you already have a desire to just rest when you come home all exhausted.
This is the case with multiple sources of work.
You need to find some kind of harmony in all this. How to do it? A good question to which very few people know the answer. Everyone's life situation is different. Living conditions also have an impact. There are quite a lot of variables in the equation.

Having funding for modern technology like harvesters can make the farmer save huge money and time, but you are right the government is not prioritizing them as they are more focused on building roads and modern buildings but we can't blame them as mostly this will be happening in 3rd world countries where everything still needs to be built. What I do hope is that they add more funding to farmers even just a little bit higher so that they will continue to plant more. Right now a lot of farmers are quitting and the outcome of this is that the prices of food will increase.

You could think the farmers are making whole lot of profits when they sells out their agricultural products at higher rate at the time of the drought, but likely did you not know that they have also invested more resources than usual such as increments in labors and materials and tools required in the farm making just to keep the plants growing productively despites the droughts challenges on ground affecting the fertility of the soil so of course, the farmers would also create that impact to make profits out of its sales because no investors ever craving for lost.

As for my country, we are undergoing inflation and there is  over 4 times multiplication increments in the goods and services across the nation.
You don't have to believe the investors are making more extra and higher profits at these processes whereas they purchases the goods on a higher price than before and of course, they should also sell  higher as long as the goal of the business is to make profits and not a charity affair. otherwise, the government sectors is the one being enriched on the process because they fails to provide an ease or alternative to the people instead they are focused at its comfortability.

when I see BLT recipients they don't use it according to their needs, most of them actually use it for consumptive needs, and this clearly doesn't help much to reduce the suffering resulting from the economic crisis. I think that the government and society are not in sync in conveying their intentions, but currently society seems to be forced to be friendly with the increase in basic prices in particular, until now the concern is the increase in the price of rice which is our staple food, hopefully we will all always be given health so that we can work to fulfill our daily needs, because the long dry season has made many people sick at this time
We can't blame the BLT recipients, the use it for consumptive needs probably because of certain reasons. I'm very sure that the government is aware about the potential misused of the BLT. But the government doesn't think too much about it, they keep applying that instant solution because they don't want to be busy thinking more effective solutions. Actually, the best solution is to provide decent jobs for the society. However, it must take more efforts and time, the government doesn't want to be complicated in providing the solution.

At the end of the day, we must find the solution ourselves. If we are aware about the potential crisis of foods, we must prepare the solution since today. Not only by finding more decent jobs for ourselves, we also need to try to fulfill our own foods by making simple agricultural fields (if it is possible).

It is difficult for small communities to reject the Government's decision to increase fuel costs, even though it is stated that there are wrong targets, deviations including gratification (corruption) must be sanctioned, and the Government must be responsible, not the people who are victims.
We have no choice, the government will never consider our rejection. The government probably has certain plans to increase the fuel costs. They won't take the responsibility, they will assume it is the responsibility of the society.

Food prices will increase inline with oil pretty much, that would be one of the easiest ways to tell inflation in pricing is likely to continue.  Also fertilizer is another price to follow for cost of production but as I understand it food prices are rising because cost to produce is rising.  Generally the world is demanding more refined foods and a greater amount of meat means more demand for food to feed live stock, enough factors for prices to rise over a decade and thats what I expect.

And here in my country work is being done to increase the excise duty for petroleum products! Of course, this will affect the prices of all products and services... Inflation is unstoppable for now, and many steps taken by the state are counterproductive. In the meantime, some chain stores and some companies are recording a growth of +150%... compared to last year, and a much higher growth compared to two years ago. While people still work for $2 per hour, min wage.
The same problem is what we are facing down here in Nigeria, after the removal of fuel subsidy, which led to the hike of petroleum product. The cost of food price has never been stable,it increases evey week and it has made every other commodities to increase in price. Inflation is really a big problem to my country economy and the new government doesn't have any strategy that they can use to combat the situation. The poor are suffering more and the middle class, because those that are working for the government salaries is depreciating and no increment from the government, enable them coupe with it.

The case of Nigeria in this inflation saga is a peculiar one, peculiar in in the sense that the economy it is surrounded by a people in government that knows the solution to the economic downturn facing the country but decides to pay lips service to it. The government have practically refused to diversify the country's economy focusing and depending mainly on crude oil production for the sustainability of all sectors of the economy.
In the 50s, 60s and 70s Nigeria was well known for her agricultural productivity in all region's of the country there were groundnuts pyramid in the North , cocoa in the West and palm oil and fish production booming in exportable quantities but today all these are history. The agricultural produce are not sufficient to feed the citizens talk more of exporting, because the government has put all it's attention to crude oil since from the late part of the 70s when oil was discovered in the country.

China, Ukraine, India, Russia, USA and many other countries are not feeling the intensity of this global inflation brought by the covid-19 pandemic because they have a diversified economy cushioning the effects of inflation in prices of foodstuffs especially. But this can't be said of those countries that economies depends on one source for their GDP growth. When the price of a barrel of crude oil falls the GDP is nakedly affected, and that's not how an economy grows in this 21C.

This problem is getting out of hand over here, it's very hard to save some money after getting your salary every month, you either spend it all on food or split it into food and house rent bills, it's getting out of hand for real, now I only eat twice daily, that's breakfast and supper, it used to be three foods per day around the clock but now, even food can turn you into a debtor if you are not careful, I don't think this is the same thing with many other countries because the situation of every countries divers from others. All we can hope for are better days and a better country, those who can't cope with the situation are traveling out of the country and I don't blame them.

Thats how life is just too damn hard and majority of us is already thinking up those partitions even we arent still able to get a hold of our salary on which those amounts are already divided or already bound to have those allocations when it comes to budgeting on which it is really just that hard to make out some adjustments if prices of goods and services do continue to rise which it would really be leading into those struggles on the time that you do recieve your salary and this is indeed fact the reality that we are facing which it is really that too damn hard. This is why it would be wise that you should be finding ways for having an additional income specially if you do have mouths to feed or even being a single would already be a challenge on sustaining yourself. Food prices here in our country does have that nonstop movement when it comes to price on which as a citizen then there's nothing you can do but to blend and go along with it and if you dont really be finding ways on increasing your income then expect that there would really be shortage on your budget which it would really be affecting your living. Not everything would really be blamed out on the government because there are really things which cant be controlled specially that inflation that we are all experiencing excluding into those countries
who do have less to none.

Since August in my country, the price of food, especially food staples such as wheat, rice and others, has experienced a very high price increase. This was apparently caused by the ongoing drought. Which makes several areas of plantations and rice fields fail to harvest due to lack of availability of water to water the plants. And this makes food stocks in the market start to run low from time to time. And yes, the price hike ensued. Rice prices here have even increased by around 9-10 percent in the last month in my area. And I'm afraid the increase will continue. Because many residents are starting to talk that if the drought continues longer then it is feared that the increase will occur higher and faster. For farmers, it can be said that currently they are getting big profits because they can sell agricultural products at high prices. but for ordinary citizens who do not have agricultural land, the current food prices really make them tight.

The residents' economic sector has actually begun to recover and improve in the past few months. But because at this time there was another spike in prices again, it made the people around me start to complain again about the current economy.

But I was wondering if this only happened in my country or in your country too?

Almost everything has been going up in my country for the last year - fuel, clothes, rent, etc. Of course, except salaries which have increased but nowhere near the same rate. It seems to be a worldwide problem with inflation right now and some countries are handling it better than others. Luckily in the last 2-3 months it feels like it has slowed back down again, especially when the government starts to take action against certain companies which are blatantly trying to price gouge at the expensive of the average person. Unfortunately it has never been a better time for monopolies to abuse their positions by raising prices and there are more of those around than ever.

You're talking of the reality that regardless of where you're living, the food prices really had gone too high.
I don't know the government can control all of these but it's a matter now that we're actually on our own and just survive in the wild.
I guess if the OPEC will start to do their own thing, the entire world reacts and whoever controls oil, controls the entire world and they can dictate prices of theirs for the commodities as it gives domino effect.

The salaries of employees in some parts of Indonesia remain unincreased, while the staples have all gone up.
This will lead to economic inequality because the minimum wage is not evenly distributed and adjusted to the increase in staples.
In every country in this world, Only the strong will survive. We have to work hard and work smart to achieve our prosperity, the prices of basic commodities are rising, we are confused about how else to buy them, prices are getting more expensive, even though we are also among people who cannot afford it because there is economic inequality in several areas.

I also come from the same country as you. This economic inequality must always be discussed, before it gets worse. The problem is that in developed countries now the situation is very bad, many people cannot buy a house, eat from donations, some even cannot eat for days because their basic necessities have increased. Actually, this theory is easy if the government wants to overcome it by increasing the income of the Indonesian population. The method is industrialization, increasing employment opportunities by making it easier for foreign and local investors to create businesses, creating local entrepreneurs, intensive vocational education. Maybe this is what we should focus on first, while the government improves the quality of agriculture from east-west, improves the quality of farmer labor, improves national food sovereignty.

Here in India the prices are at all time high of some items, Buying from my local grocery store helped me to save money, because in mall we see big packets of things which are more than we need and buy 2 get 1 free like offers, which causes over spending so, I decided to buy only what i want from my local shop, most of the products in malls are expensive than my local grocery store.

More offers will give us the opportunity to buy more, or buy things we don't really need.
Since there are several discount offers, we take them and find ourselves spending more.

I live in Indonesia and all the basic necessities have gone up, At the mall or supermarket it's usually cheaper or just a little different from the local grocery store.
Those from the grocery store also buy from the mall for resale.

The salaries of employees in some parts of Indonesia remain unincreased, while the staples have all gone up.
This will lead to economic inequality because the minimum wage is not evenly distributed and adjusted to the increase in staples.
