The only team whose performance can't be predicted is Pakistan. They lost to Afghanistan but chased down 402 runs against NZ. This is not in this world cup rather performance of Pakistan from day one is unpredictable. Pakistan lose crucial game against SA due to some controversial decisions by umpires otherwise they will be in semis.

Bangladesh and Sri Lanka's dream of reaching the semi-finals of the World Cup is over now they will play to qualify for the 2025 Champions Trophy. Had South Africa batted first against India, they might have provided a decent target. But South Africa's performance in the second innings is not good. Even in the pre-World Cup series, we have seen South Africa's batting order collapse when chasing runs. Their performance is quite poor when they bat on target. It was unimaginable that South Africa would bat so badly against India. Even so, I would say India and South Africa are the most likely to win the title this time. You are right, if we analyze every match of South Africa, it is clear that if South Africa bat later, chances of winning are very low. But bowled first in 3 matches which lost 2 matches and won one match against Pakistan by 1 wicket, losing to a team like Netherlands which is incredible. So we have to assume that the team that plays against India in this World Cup tournament will lose. This is too much for anyone who loves cricket. I expected a decent competition today between the number 1 and number 2 team on the point table. To my suprise none of South African batters are able to defend them against the Indian bowlers. As of now this would be another humiliation for the South African team after getting defeated by the Dutch.
