The Bangladesh team is now on the verge of leaving the World Cup due to continuous failure.The dream with which Shakib Al Hasan's team set foot on Indian soil. Starting with a win against a weak Afghanistan, Team Tigers could not put up a fight with four strong teams.  If nothing major happens then there is not even a slight chance of making it to the semi-finals.This is the third match between the two teams in the ODI format. Bangladesh-Netherlands won 1 of the previous two matches.To go to the semi-finals, the Tigers need to secure a win against the Netherlands. Although tiger is associated with the name, they have never been able to show tiger-like performance.  Today, October 28, Bangladesh and Netherlands teams will meet at Kolkata Eden Gardens, the match will start at 2:30 pm Bangladesh time. Every time Team Tiger makes the fans dream big then disappoints the fans big time.

After watching total of 25 matches in the world cup. Yesterday game was a close one and I felt Pakistan would win. Untill Nawaz gave a lose ball and Maharaj hit it for a four. Wasim Jr debut was a special one as he took 2 wickets. I don't know why he wasn't given an opportunity earlier in the tournament. With this loss Pakistan are out of the tournament and there is only 5 percent chance that they would reach the semifinals.

South Africa leads the point table they now have a sure shot entry to the semifinals. Today Australia will be playing against New Zealand and if they are able to defeat the Kiwis they might sneak into the semifinals race.

Today's matches are going to be interesting with two matches, Australia vs New Zealand and Bangladesh vs Netherlands.
Australia Vs New Zealand
Australia vs New Zealand match today will be the most competitive match between these two teams as both teams will try hard enough to win today's matches. Moreover, if Australia can win today's match, it will certainly advance in the points table, but Australia may not be able to compete with New Zealand. I am saying from my personal prediction in the match today that New Zealand will definitely win against Australia.

Bangladesh Vs Nederland
Among these two teams, Bangladesh has the highest chance of winning because Bangladesh batting is much stronger than the Netherlands. But can't say Netherlands as the bowling performance was outstanding, and they won the match against South Africa. If Netherlands can put up a good bowling line-up against Bangladesh, then it is definitely possible to beat Bangladesh. And I think today Bangladesh may not let Netherlands win as they want to win the match. Moreover, these two teams are currently in the worst position, where they have won one match and lost all of the five matches they have played. The three worst placed teams in the points table are Bangladesh, England and Netherlands where they have won just one match each. Anyway, if they let the match go, they won't qualify for the World Cup, anyway today's match is against the Netherlands, I am supporting Bangladesh.

There are some rules that would make the game better if they were dropped. Ampere's Call It is entirely in the hands of an ampere. The umpire's call went to both sides in the second inning. Rassie van der Dussen was also given out. 99% time umpire would have signaled not out but in this case, the umpire raised his finger so quickly without any second thought. So it happens, some decisions go your way and some don't.

We finally got the thriller we wanted but at the same time we will have plenty of dead matches for Pakistan as they are out (less than 2% chance)and we'll have more dead matches, maybe after Ind vs Eng.

Pakistan journey in icc world cup is over with this loss. They already lost to India, Afghanistan and Australia. Today was a must win game for them but they unfortunately lost it after a thriller. Pakistan got wickets in today's game but they came very late. The real damage was done by Aiden Markram. Pakistan team need to do a lot of work in ODI format as its evident from this tournament.

Undoubtedly the Best match so far in world cup Markram played a heroic knock of 91, Maharaj finished the job perfectly in the last wickey and won match for South Africa by 1 wicket. Tabraiz Shamsi award the Player of the Match for his brilliant four wickets spell against Pakistan he took 4 wickets in 10 over and also played 6 important runs for South Africa. Pakistan's brilliant bowling effort goes unrewarded as South Africa secures a thrilling win against Pakistan in Chennai. Haris Rouf took 2/62, waseem Jr took 2/50 and Shaheen  Shah Afridi took 3/49 most wickets so for in the world cup.

Yeah, that LBW was as close as it gets. Pakistan being on the unlucky side of things. If the on field umpire had given it out. That would have stood and Pakistan would have won the match then and there. Was a tough call for the umpire to make. I personally thought it would have dragged on wide but it did clip the stumps. Statistically, Pakistan's chances to qualify are slim to none now isnt it? 4 losses in a row for them, must've been unexpected for a team that started the campaign as one of the favs to reach far into the tournament. South Africa goes back on top of the standings on net run rate but, India has a game in hand.

South Africa eventually won the match against Pakistan by one wicket. With a target of 271 runs, South Africa was supposed to win against Pakistan in a big way but the Pakistan bowlers bowled brilliantly which made South Africa struggle in the target of 271 runs. However, as Pakistan team lost today's match, their dream of playing in the semi-final was dashed. I feel very bad for Pakistan team Pakistan are playing very well today.Both bowling and fielding have done very well. If Pakistan could have played the full 50 overs then it would have been roughly 300 plus runs then Pakistan would have won today's match without a doubt. Congratulations to the South African team.

In the end, Pakistan conceded defeat in yet another match. The main reason for Pakistan's defeat in today's match is their poor batting. Pakistan bowlers have done well enough today. Pakistan set a target of just 271 runs to a strong team like South Africa today. Pakistan lost against Afghanistan despite setting a target of 283 runs on the same pitch. So after giving a target of only 271 runs in today's match I was sure Pakistan will lose today. Even so, the match was very competitive. Shaheen Shah Afridi's bowling was good as usual today. At the same time, Mohammad Wasim bowled well enough. South Africa collected 271 runs for the loss of 9 wickets. The team lost four matches in a row.

South Africa won by 1 wicket.

Pakistan really fought back at the later stage but they can't able to penetrate the Maharaj's defense, probably that is why that energetic celebration after winning that winning runs from him.

But finally a close game, and the best of the tournament so far now cause the game went deep down after we thought SA is in comfortable position. Kudos to SA tailenders and definitely unlucky day for Pakistan & co.

The 26th match of the World Cup between Pakistan and South Africa ended with drama in the last few overs. In the end South Africa needed 5 runs and Pakistan needed just one wicket but ended up winning by 5 runs.
Pakistan's victory could have been assured in an earlier over if the umpire had allowed the LBW plea. Umpire's plea for LBW was not met, Pakistan took a review and the review showed that the ball hit the wicket but it was an umpire's call, which means that the team that will go for the decision will definitely be lucky. That one decision alone made Pakistan lose this match. Pakistan out of the World Cup tournament (still a possibility but the equation is very difficult).

South Africa now need just 20 more runs and still have more than 8 overs in hand.  So South Africa is going to win the match.  Now the only way for Pakistan to win the match is to take the wickets of South Africa because South Africa has already lost 8 wickets so if Pakistan can take 2 more wickets before collecting 20 overs then Pakistan can win the match.  Otherwise it is a guaranteed that South Africa will win the match. South Africa are already in the second position in the points table.  And after winning today's match, they will be in the second position more strongly and South Africa can overtake India and move to the first position later.

One thing I have noticed from Pakistani bowlers is that they get wickets but they get them at the very end when not getting wickets is the same thing. Against Australia we saw that Pakistan could not dominate the Australian batsmen at first but later they were able to all out Australia when Australia's total crossed 350 plus. South Africa needed just 21 runs to win at this point as Pakistan fell by seven wickets. If Pakistan could have put South Africa under such pressure before 20 to 40 runs then Pakistan would have won this match. Needing 21 runs from 56 balls and three wickets in hand, South Africa are still likely to win this match, but if the Pakistani bowlers can pull off a surprise, this match can be won by Pakistan.

It is true that the way South Africa bat, there is no need to count the balls, they just need a few more runs to win. At the moment Aiden Markram is batting at the crease, and he might end up scoring a century, I believe he will win today's match. Pakistan managed to score good runs today, but with these runs it would never have been possible to beat South Africa. And right now South African batsman Aiden Markram has collected 90 runs, he will soon get out of the field with a century, and he will not miss this opportunity. Also, comparing Pakistan with Bangladesh would be wrong because Pakistan has performed better than Bangladesh. Although Pakistan was not playing well at the moment which is why they are not getting a win against any team and I think South Africa will be difficult to beat against a team like Pakistan.

Fifth wicket down for Proteas but they are still in the safe position to win this game.

Just 47 needed from 80+ balls and one settled batsmen is in the middle then surely the game is finished now and probably the end of Pakistan's hopes too.

If SA deserved to be in 1st place then they should have won a match against Dutch but they didn't so it happens in cricket but regaining from the loss matters/.

Currently the South Africa team has a current run rate of 6.28 and Required run rate is 3.85 so I think they are now back from the danger zone they were. Now if they stand on the field only to play defensively then they can easily win the match. In the field currently has a good partnership of Aiden Markram and David Miller so victory here is almost certain. Aiden Markram has already scored 77 runs off 76 balls in today's match, hope he doesn't miss a chance to score a century. The team has about 65 runs left to win. South Africa remain top of the points table in this tournament but would have been leading in the points table if they not lost to the Netherlands.

6 wickets in hand and 66 runs needed to win we don't count the balls because the way South Africa are batting they don't need to count the balls. Aiden Markram may be on course for his third century of the season as he remains unbeaten on 77 runs. A batsman who can patiently score 77 runs will not miss the chance of a century. If Pakistan lose this match, they will lose four matches in a row. Pakistan's game looks like they are playing like Bangladesh for some reason. Just like Bangladesh makes easy matches difficult, Pakistan is making easy matches difficult. Pakistan got only 2 wins in this tournament that too against easy opponents.

South Africa needs 83 more runs from 21 overs. All they need is to wait and keep going and not lose any further wickets. But I believe their batting lineup is strong enough to chase this total down. Pakistan and Bangladesh has the same problem, once they start losing wickets, they could collapse within a couple of overs scoring 20 or 30 runs.

Markram and Miller have to stay to chase this down since the required run rate is too low. So, they don't have to rush on bowler unless they want to improve their NRR. Another bad day for Pakistan cricket.
