it does not go against the rules afaik, but importantly I predicted this business would go nowhere; inactivity from the team is the biggest sign, plus the business idea was fine at best, which isn't enough in a market where some projects are simply unbelievable

I have not met successful Russian projects related to the real sector. Most likely the guys use a loss-making company to attract attention and after ICO no work will be done.

Providing a 50% dividend per year proportionally to shareholders, I think is huge for new projects. whether the dividend is an absolute advantage to the investor or any other costs.
I would suggest you to wait until you have the 50% dividend in your hands as pure cash. Until then be careful
