for me its better to buy in ICO rather than waiting for the altcoin to be release in exchange because most alts go on high during first week of release then after that goes to a big dip for a long time before coming back to sky high again.
Some of the newly finished ico has been dropping their prices at exchanges against their ico prices. Take a look at wepower, debitum, adbank and mwatt I don't know if this will a good reason for investors to buy at exchanges rather than investing during ico sale. Maybe this is due to downfall around the crypto.
as usually the price of coin will drop when those who follow the bounty program have got it because they will immediately sell it. this is what causes the price will be far below the ICO. but so far I am very happy with ICO because I often buy ICO because not a few rules that will give bonuses.

I think its better to buy on exchanges now, ico have a risk and few ones can make a high profits due to the market is not good, and many ico coins cant list on large exchanges, its hard to trade, buying coins listed on large exchanges is of low risk

Invest when the ico starts and buy when it is listed in an exchange cause it surely go down because of dumpers great opportunity to increase your holdings.

They have advantages when it comes to get a profit especailly in bonuses, if you buy while ICO is live you can get their bonuses rather than wait to the exchange where they put in. So, for me much better to invest in the ICO's and sell when their token listed in exchange site, but they have risk because many ico nowaday they don't fulfill their promises, in short it's a scam, much better to read some information specially their whitepaper if the team had a good experience to handle their project.

It is also depend on Projects where you invest in ICO ! I prefer to read whitepaper before to invest in any ICO ,so if team and project trustable then i can invest in ICO ! regarding about buying from exchange it also the same as it would buy from ICO !

Traditionally, tokens are issued to exchanges after ISO. Therefore, your plan will not work, it would be too easy.
I prefer to buy after the ICO on the stock exchange, as you can see the real price of the coin . I have a coin which already more half a year, but has not yet reached the price I invested in them.

for any project that ico ends in last month is very vulnerable and can not get better than ico price. everything is bad and the price is also below ico. so very lucky for those who buy in abdomen with a cheap price

Lots of ICO's suffer going lower than ICO price when it hits the first exchange. Specially those with bounty campaigns because most bounty participants sell their token in exchange to fiats of other currency. But of course it doesn't end with only one exchange, most coins recover and achieve a higher price when it hits its second exchange, then the third. Most of the time, we only need patience, and just HODL because if you believe in the project and it has long term goals, it will definitely go higher in the future.
But in fact it really depends of the project. A strong team, active community, low total supply (and maximum in circulation), pre-sale program and a serious roadmap (which can be realised) are good points of interest if you wanna invest in an ICO.

It depends. From my experience, if you see some ICOs having 20-50% "promotions" for their coins for a long period of time, then this is a huge red flag to NOT invest and wait for exchanges. This is because the price will definitely tank because those people will sell their excess, causing the price to talk really hard. That's what you see in some of these oversubscribed ICOs where you dont really understand why there was great interest given a particular tech that doesnt seem that great.
What you really need to look at is the ICOs with great organisation, the hype coming from authentic reasons and not targeted marketers and of course solid tech and great team, like Multiversum. Otherwise you will be burned similar to what you see in pump and dump groups that give the signals all too late, leaving you with a bag of tokens.
In my experience, it is better to participate in the ICO, when bulls rule in the market. In this case, you can quickly get a good profit.

I prefer to buy at ICO, because for me the price is still low, if you want to get a lot of benefits you can buy in ICO because you will get many benefits, and you can wait for the next few months at a higher price, so you can get many benefits,
Buying during the ICO was profitable prior to February 2018 but with the recent volatility of the market i'd say get into bounties and buy in exchange when the price deeps.

Yes I also think that it is better to wait until a token is listed nowadays snd wait for the drop to get in. You might have to wait s bit until you can get out again and make a profit. On the other hand if you buy during ICO your money could be blocked also for months until the token hits the first exchange.
I think so. Some ICO is going down after get listed on exchanges. this is risky for the investment
but if buy later at exchange we can't get a bonus ICO.
