for me it is better to buy during the ICO than buying when the coins is already in exchange, there is a high posibility that coins in ICO is much cheaper than in the first weeks of exchanges.

There is also a high possibility that coins in ICO are much more expensive than in the first weeks of exchanges.

I love a good ICO,

My first ever crypto trade i bought 2 ETH and put it into the GVT ICO

The token went x50+ on the bullish market, very happy, however im smart enough to know it was beginners luck!

If you think that the project has a good future and you research well, do your own due diligence and it passes your test for ICOs then it might be wise for you to buy during the ICO because aside from getting it cheap if in case it will fly once it is listed on exchanges, you will have bonuses as well. There is a tendency though that it might go down below ICO price if some of the bounty participants would dump their coins but if many are not able to buy it during ICO like some countries are restricted then there would be more demand of the coin. You may want to accumulate more if this happens.

I rarely invest in ICO. Apart from that, I collect the projects I like to research. I'm trying to catch the price drop. It is not very difficult actually. Difficult patience.

It depends on the project. Sometimes it makes sense to get it from ICO. Sometimes it makes more sense to get on. But it seems to be the most sensible way to get, take and hold for a while: D

I think it'd better if you can buy at ICO period cause the price of any coin or token at ICO period is the lowest price beside you also can receive the bonus coin or token if you join ICO project early. Beside there are also some coin don't have ICO like REBL, this token distributed by airdrop and people just need to do some tasks to get free REBL token.
Not always, the ico period it is not always the cheapest in fact there are many coins which went below ico prices and if the investors just took the risk and waited they could have gotten even more profits in the long run by being patient and with the current know your customer policies I think this is a strategy that is going to become even more common in the future.

RISE WITH RAYS FOR THE FUTURE
February 10, 2018, 07:18:39 AM
If I really like the project - I try to participate in the ico. If I do not have time or doubt, I try to buy it on the exchanges. I put a order and wait.

A complex question, especially when there are so many coins are sold lower than the ICO prices when hitting exchanges. So my suggestion is if there is really some good projects with prospects, you may try to purchase during the ICO stage; if you are unsure about the future, you may wait when it hitting exchanges and find a proper price to buy some.
I think that all options for mining will be real and correct. That's only if you participate in the ico company, then you can get them almost for free. Any Bounty company will give you a more affordable coin, not a home to buy on the stock exchange. And for investments you need to be confident in the prospects of the project.

How often does the price get lower than the ICO price when a new coin is listed on its first exchange house ?

How come there are coins that are worth like 0.0004 $, usually during an ICO one coin is sold in the range of 1$ or not ?

Do some "coins" skip the ICO stage ?

I think buying coins when ico is more profitable because you will get some bonus tokens.
while when the coin enter your exchanger will not get any bonus.

Yes that is true. But sometimes it is also risky because if the ICO is a scam or if the ICO may fail. Sometimes buying in an exchange will be more profitable and sometimes it is much better to invest in ICO. Actually both are profitable but it depends on many instances and circumstances.

If you  want to buy a token you should buy early like during the ICO. You can benefit ICO - bonus tokens and earn more tokens.
The bonuses coming from icos can be good but I find them to be mostly just a trap, most people rush to invest in icos in order to get more tokens but they do it at a very costly price, most of those bonuses are for those which invest early on, which means you have very little time to make any kind of in depth analysis so while you can get lots of tokens what it is the point if the tokens are useless.
When we know that ICO will succeed then invest, there are really worth investing ICO, if you find potential coin at exchange then buy, it will depends on which you find potentially will increase.

It is not a bad choice but it is advisable to buy after listing in a good exchange. Then only you will get to know the correct response from people widely.

I think ICO is a better deal than exchange as long you already established your belief about the company, the project and the people behind. Because of the time ICO price is way lower and with bonuses. But buying in Exchange eliminate the possibility than the company will not reach it's soft cap and will stop the project.

in this recent crash , all icos which got listed on exchanges were sold at much less price .
so many times it does happen that either it get sold at higher price or lower price .

but key part is if you invested in any ico after lot of research then never sell at low price , give it time and definitely you will get good return .

It depends on the coin. Actually, if the coin belongs to a project that really offers a lot and might be going sold out in just a few minutes or an hour, I would join an ICO. But if the ICO seems to be just another good coin then I might just wait for the coin to be listed to an exchange. After all, most often the coin will go down below ICO price in the early days of its trading. As far as my experience is concerned, I bought later when the coin was already on the exchanges.

It depends on situation but it prefer to buy from ICO directly to get some extra bonus !
But if you were not able to join pre-sale then you should go for exchange be careful while buy ..

Happy Trading

Thanks

Invest in ico and sell it when it hit the exchange for profit then buy back as price ussualy goes down because a lot of people are doing the same. Most of the times price goes 2/3 down after few day on exchange,no reassons why not to maximise your profits
