For me someone gives posts in the form of icons / imoji not too bad for those who understand about icons something positive if they understand the meaning itself.

Uniquely, each product or project has a different type of icon design, it is very understood that the icon is the design for a particular project.
I consider the icon / imoji to be a positive effect for participants who take part in certain projects, can interact and understand about imoji and understand the information, what else is most found in the Bounties section.
I judge there is nothing wrong with the icon of what happened, positive thinking all will be fine, nothing confused about.

the bitcointalk forum has thousands of different character people here, from jokes to serious, just enjoy what people like.💞💞

I disagree if someone or everyone is banned from using the symbols.Although it causes some discomfort, it is only in certain tables, not throughout the forum. Everyone has the right to freedom of speech in this forum, as long as it doesn't violate the rules, and of course, everyone has the right to decorate their title, as long as they like or some purpose. Ideas like OP will kill the freedom of this forum  Roll Eyes
Being something that is not important to debate if everyone is free to make a thread with the use of symbols as long as it does not violate the rules. I also disagree with the idea expressed by the OP because it might also lead to freedom of the forum.

Especially for the bounty board, some managers will compete to create unique threads by using symbols to attract readers and each manager has a different character. A bounty board is a place where symbols are widely used in titles and I dont find many on other boards.

Ban emoji and BROKEN CAPSLOCK!?  Would you ban one of my best-ever threads, which I do plan to revive someday?  😰

Click, click, click the bestial daemon:

It is my one and only thread in Bounties (Altcoins).  Do I not deserve to spam spam spam, too?

[...]

Airdrop Bounty Shill Payola Terms:

In exchange for your participation in this campaign, you will receive 2256%* airdrop bounty spam payola consisting of pretty good privacy for yourself and those with whom you communicate.

(* All airdrop percentages herein stated apply the same quality of maths as seen in a typical scamcoin.)

[...]

Remember that the more you spam for the pro-PGP, pro-privacy message of this campaign, the more elite you will be!

That is art.  Please don’t tell me that you seriously want to deprive the world of such eloquent forms of expression.  😿

And please, THINK OF THE CHILDREN!!  Have a heart for the poor, illiterate children (and by that, I mean: superannuated infants in adult bodies), who will be bereft of any means to communicate.  You authoritarian word-Nazi, would you force them to study and learn the proper use of language!? 😡

What I see:

The origin of the word “spam” in the context of Internet spam.

Eh...

I know that the OPs want to gather some attention for their topics but it make the whole section look messy and unprofessional.

As others have observed, that is a feature and not a bug.

Imo the presence of such stuff is an indicator to "avoid" and "report" me topics.

I quite like allowing icons and emojis in the topic title. [...] The icons allow me to see instantly which threads I should just avoid because they are likely to be nonsense, and it seems to be a pretty foolproof method.

what if someday your favorite sections would be inundated with those eye-catching titles? Why not prevent them at first?
I wouldn't worry too much about that. If that kind of behavior spilled over in to boards like Technical Discussion or Technical Support, you can pretty much guarantee they would be rapidly trashed.

😀😺🐺 👍 🎆 🎉!!!

On the other hand, if I could ban these idiotic pictograms from the Internet altogether...

I quite like allowing icons and emojis in the topic title. Any thread which needs to resort to icons to draw attention to itself is probably doing so because it is very light on meaningful content. The icons allow me to see instantly which threads I should just avoid because they are likely to be nonsense, and it seems to be a pretty foolproof method.

Come on OP, don't be a kill joy. Those who make use of Icons only try to spice up their gigs. Remember that monotony kills interest and bores a jolly heart to death. Just put the board on ignore like some posters have suggested if you think seeing the Icons makes you nightmarish. I bet next on line will be a call for the ban of smilies once the ban on Icons scales through. We aren't here alone to talk Bitcoin, we want to be seen as catching fun too.

Well, I will follow you guys' common idea here: forget about it and less visit those sections. But I just have a small thought: what if someday your favorite sections would be inundated with those eye-catching titles? Why not prevent them at first?
We rarely notice these icons outside of the altcoins section, i remember services contained it also but i didn't visit it a while.

I ignore the bounty threads who use emojis/icons excessively, that makes it bit easier to sort out. But yeah, it looks messy, gotta agree with that.

I don't agree that these icons should be banned. Ok, maybe you don't like icons, but it's your personal opinion. I also don't like it much, but it doesn't disturb me. I think using limited number of icons can may look your title nicer and more attractive. But obviously, overuse of icons like on bounty board looks very unprofessional and may cause eye cancer. It's same like use of emojis on social networks. If you use few, it's ok, but when you overuse it, it will look childish. I don't think we need to talk about banning icons because if it's used correctly, it's quite useful feature.

I believe that you have made great efforts to help users organize, create and create titles for their topics to make them more interesting. But I think that is completely useless for most of the gift managers on the board that are highlighted "bounties". I have read more or less the rules that apply there and I found no rules that forbid users to make the title in such a way, full color and so on (if not miss it).

~~~
Freedom and ignore if someone doesnt like it. Isnt this a good suggestion? Maybe not, It depends on how we use the board when doing forum activities and I think you will not ignore it because you are one of the active users who are looking for fraudulent users there. Really ?
Until a while ago, my browser didn't support those icons. Those days were great!
You can probably uninstall a certain font to get rid of them again.
Luckily, the icon madness only happens on certain altcoin spam boards, where normal humans aren't reading anyway. It's mainly spammers and bots posting there, so I'm totally fine if they mess up titles there. Easy solution: ignore the board Smiley
The full caps are annoying too, and many users don't even read those topics. It's a great way to easily detect low-quality topics.
Some users, mainly spammers, don't understand (or don't care about) proper netiquette. Luckily, you can use the ignore button on those users too Cheesy
I don't think you'll get any of those things banned. This forum strives to be as free as possible. Being "messy" or "unprofessional" is part of those freedoms. And there is actually a valid use for icons in titles. See this topic for example.
I know that the OPs want to gather some attention for their topics but it make the whole section look messy and unprofessional.
Thats a reflection of the state of the section. In reality, a huge number of the projects being advertised there are messy and unprofessional and it may be favourable if that sticks out from the topic title.
Using obtrusive designs to make ones project more attractive is a poor tactic and doesn't work, however it has become the norm in that section.
I personally will not mind if icons were removed from titles, but I guess there are a couple of users who use it in their posts without abusing it.
Also, a title of capitalized characters should be restricted, not to mention a full capitalized topic like this.
This mostly happens in the bounty section as they want to make the bounty hunters to be attracted towards their bounty. When rest of the threads are clean and plain, i think there is no harm in having some colorful topics of the thread. I don't see anything wrong with it. We don't want a dull forum.  Smiley
I would like to ignore first about that's thread or suggest the topic starter to make the title more properly and better
If there are too many thread using full capitalized with icons and can't be controlled, I will prefer to open a new thread in meta board (like you do now)
I don't think this case he should be banned
There are a thread has discussed about the topic title style in the past Do you know how should be your topic title? According to many user, it's not too important thing to discuss it and ignoring is the good way about this case.
I agree with you it's look so messy, all of his title is full capitalized and using many icons.  Altcoin board is the worst board in bitcointalk, many user is ignoring these board. You not only find messy topic title in this board, you will facing spammer,  scammer and many more violating user.
Maybe this is why no standard policy to make topic title
Moderators here typically don't require you to use good titles for topics, but I thought I'd post some guidelines for anyone wondering how best to write a title.
Doesn't look unprofessional to me,I guess we can call it fancy probably it was made that way to attract Grin
I don't think Icons should be banned at all, and nothing is wrong about it. I guess icons were already a thing in the bounty section or accustomed thing.
It is personal style and it seems only appears in trash boards. I have not seen such thread titles with icons in Meta board.
I wrote my guides with some tips to make thread titles more attractive with hooks that are key words, not icons.
Yes, maybe it looks: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=238.0, a bit of color, style, for those who don't like to see it, that is what is called "freedom".
Maybe some people care about that, maybe not.
OP, this button still works now: https://bitcointalksearch.org/user/yoshie-2363935, You can start and choose where the board visible to the OP is messy.
I don't think being "unprofessional" is the biggest problem with the bounty board. Probably not even in the top 10. Just ignore that cesspit.
