unfortunately scam the majority of projects on the market. It was very difficult to prevent them. Although some projects seem to be successful at first, they unfortunately become absurd.

Still many ICOs are legit and giving a huge of profit from their investors but there are also a scam ICOs that would stoling your money so better research it first before you making an investment in different ICOs because still very risky at any moment.

Indeed, today there are many ico who are scam, and you have to be good at analyzing ico which has good potential until you choose the wrong one when you will invest in ico, learning with more experienced people will be good so you can absorb the knowledge, don't hesitate to learn and ask with people who are more expert so that you do not misstep

I think most for the ICO is the scam, they can launch the ICO and create the token easily, when the ICO is finished, they will take all the money and go away, so no one want to invest in the ICO now.
90% of ICO for right now is Scam. Some even does the Scam Exit, like letting the Coin has no market at all. FOr example Bitconnect before had been listed on many exchangers. But then now, it is inactive and delisted from all its exchangers

Maybe bitconect is only a pump and dump coin , now de list it because people already got what they want .  some they know their lesson and they wont invest on it again but other ico's dont work this way  .  few have remain for a verry long time even if they didnt get enough demand fro the public  .
it just ponzi scheme.and bitconnect case could be our experience to avoid the same kind of projects.maybe choosing projects that based on technology developtment such blockchain developtment could be better than projects based on lending.

To be honest even if an ICO is not a scam it does not mean you will do well to invest in it. Some ICOs, legit ones, have actually lost a lot of their value because their projects were a failure. You need to do your research - read the whitepaper, study the team, etc.

Those legit ICOs are having a hard time dealing with the bear market -- since they are already labeled by many as one of the scam ICOs. Enduring this is quite a pain, but I know some of them are still doing what they've promised even before this anemic market.

In this present era of lots of scam ICO projects, they are still some legit ICO projects worthwhile for investment. But the question is how can you tell an ICO is legit.  In my own opinion, I would say you do an extensive research on the project, conduct a background check on the team, take a look at the roadmap, check on social media, what is been said about the project. You can also discuss with any person who is better at analyzing projects than you are.  Hopefully, you are able to find a legit ICO project this way. Doing the above doesn't guarantee you to find a legit ICO project, but atleast you loose nothing by trying.

Every year it becomes more difficult to distinguish a promising project from a fraudulent one. Scammers have learned to fake ICO at a high level, so any investment becomes risky. I would advise to try to make a list of criteria for a successful ICO and use it as a guide when choosing a project.

Hi Guys,

Im pretty keen to understand more about ICOs and intend to invest in some.
ANY recommended ICOs and any advise how you guys determine whether is it a legit or Scam?

Thanks in advance.
See of course on kyc will projects on sites with ico ratings , if so it is already a much higher chance that the people in the project are not hidden , and so if you invest then study the project very carefully especially at this time !

Anyway you might have encountered something bad with ICOs but believe me, there are still lots of good ICOs out there with a good use case. There are ICOs that you can make good profit from but you really need to do research. I know there are also scam projects which one should stay away from

Another Epic throwback post, the answer to your question is that not all ICOs are genuine, you have to select the wheats from the tars there are so many ICOs out there and but precious few of them would turn out to be genuine.

Not every ICO is a scam. There are still some great projects on the market that are worth investing, but the problem is that people are not ready to invest their funds on the falling market. We need a market change to see a better situation.

I always check the team members first and whether they've actually talked about their project in public.
