Very difficult to make forecast in this field. They have been almost outlawed in countries like USA and China and Russia is soon to follow. So they may as well disappear in the form we know them now.

Yes exactly I completely agree with you now more and more regulated ico are coming some are even registered with particular country government it’s really good move. I have witnessed lots of ico has raised fund only because of white paper and website.

I think the number of ICOs will increase .There is going to be a decentralized platform for ICO ( dICO ) by KOMODO. The first dICO - Monaize will be using it this Nov 10. I believe a lot more projects will utilize dICO platforms as well in 2018. Of course some projects will still go through centralized platform like Ethereum and Ethereum Classic. Boscoin and Aeternity are aiming to be platform coin as well. So expect projects to run on their platforms as well. Finally I foresee an increase in airdrop projects as well.
Probably 1000s. Would also expect to see some well-defined regulation of the markets globally as well.
Need to look at where the companies are in as well. Some countries are completely unregulated and just asking to have a scam ico appear.

As long as people are still throwing money at them, they'll always be plenty of ICOs for the money to land on.
I believe the number of ICO'S will decrease significantly in 2018 as regulations will surely set in.

I have read somewhere that the year 2017 is really the year of ICOs. I can confirm this because ICOs are really sprouting everywhere like mushrooms. Many of them are coming very quick and died very quick also. ICOs are promoted and gained some contributions even if they are only putting forward some hastily made whitepapers and websites. I hope that next year's ICOs are more solid and practical than most of the ICOs this year.

In order for us to have an idea of how many ICOs are going to be launched next year we will need to have a regulatory body that oversees the activities of ICOs and that is never going to happen, the only other way could be to calculate at the end of the year how many ICOs were created in this year and then with that information to try to predict how much more ICOs will be createdAs we can in 2017 It's like a bubble everyday new ICO's with few pages whitepaper,just a business plan no founder details,no physical address.
Althought community is strictly against regulatory institutions,I think that it would be a way to go.

Launch ICO with representatives which are well known in Crypto community thus community would know that this project has the right purpose. The ICo would be for project which evaluates the risk of ICOs. For example if project would like to get evaluated by this body, they would comply with their information requests and if their project is REAL, they would get a evaluations which would help with their find rising.
many ico in this year, but few of them maybe use useless whitepaper, i think in 2018 will be much more ico coming since we know that in 2018 the btc price will be higher form this year and many people take advantage moment when they are joining the ICO, but pick wisely wich ico that you want to choose.

Maybe we will see some other kind of ICOs that are coming up with some huge investors. Maybe there will be some local points where the people can inform their self about some upcoming. Big investor need something that they can grab and touch
