That pretty much will be the closest thing to happen. I mean Bitcoin will not die, because its existence is not even tangible so we don't even know where its root at. What I'm trying to say is, it exist in a very different way - digitally that is.

So that is true, it will just gonna be replaced by one of the altcoins (Ethereum is the closest one). Since all the cryptos are volatile value-wise, the price really will not drop the way as few people thought it will.

I doubt that Altcoins would die, however, there is a positive correlation between Bitcoin's and Altcoin's price. That means, when Bitcoin's price falls, most coins fall too, at a specific degree at least. Probably, if it ever happens, there will be a short term crash of all Altcoins till a major one takes the lead, after a long time period.

There will be a massive death of alt coins but not all of them will die. Some are not bitcoin dependent and they can build up their own community and market, this will be the start of the alt coin wars. But I doubt it that bitcoin will die because it's foundation has been there and there's no way that it will be out of the scene and for sure many will not let bitcoin dead because of the big money they've invested with it.

If bitcoin dies i think other coins will take it's place when btc crashed most of it's investors will gonna invest in different coins, but it depends on why btc crashed. Like when there was yahoo then google takes it's place. BTC is the first decentralized crypto so it will leave such legacy. But always remember that no one can tell what's exactly gonna happens next so let's just be ready and prepared.

Hard to predict it. When BTC price falls all other AltCoin's prices fall too. What means AltCoins follow Bitcoin up or down... I think if Bitcoin dies the other AltCoins will die too, until a new one is created bringing trust and legitimacy again to Crypto-Currency world.

Anyway it wouldn't be an easy task, as investors would think twice before investing on something that failed before. But it's just an hypothetical situation, I doubt it could really happen.

No if there was no more Bitcoin, some other cryptocurrency would become the base of trades. Blockchains are technologies that will change the world in many ways, and no matter what coin fails, even if it's Bitcoin, blockchains are here to stay and will change the world anyway.

Bitcoin will not disappear nor die. In my opinion, bitcoin will still last 100 years from now. Bitcoin will grow and more recognizable to the world even further in the future. If bitcoin still exist in crypto, there is a possibility that altcoin will last too long.

First of all I don't know what is Altcoin so I don't know that when Bitcoin dies will Altcoin will die too? But I think that when Bitcoin will die what will happened to us that are using Bitcoin, because Bitcoin helps us to help our family in financial problem.

I think if Bitcoin were to die in the next few years then yes it would be the end of cryptocurrencies all together as it is still the major player and for those without any knowledge the only real one they are aware of. I think if given time to establish themselves, the other coins could survive beyond bitcoin. However this is all hypothetically speaking as I do not see bitcoin dying.

Even knowing all altcoins are traded against bitcoin, some of them would die, but i doubt all of them would die, bitcoin were the first coin but there are already a lot coins offering real things as energy, real business opportunities, soo i dont see bitcoin die as a end to the altcoins, the same way maybe one day bitcoin will be replaced by other altcoin.

No altcoins will not "die" as in go down to 0 or only being worth 1 satoshi.

The worst thing would be that bitcoin dies off somehow and another coin takes the place of it. That is very doubtful it will happen in the next few years, but lets remember Myspace vs Facebook and Yahoo vs Google. First to market doesn't mean much in the long run.

You are right the value of the bitcoin is much higher than the price of the other coin so it is totally different from each other. If the bitcoin will die more coins would be invented but it is not that the price will be the same the now currency will take much time to increase and to grow faster. So it is very important to increase the price of the bitcoin stay the same so that it will never die.

As compare to other currencies bitcoin value is rising because bitcoin is growing on daily base which is kind of special of everyone who ever come to know about bitcoin and learned about bitcoin.

Some constructs are piggybacking on the bitcoin blockchain. Counterparty to be named, mastercoin. Those do depend upon fresh blocks beeing mined.
But even if there would be absolutely no market value left there is still the probability that hobbyist continue to mine blocks by altruism. Hashrate dropping down to zero would open a long timespan for difficulty readjustments so yes, trouble. If the blockchain fails probably all blockchain based cryptos get damaged, even the POS based ones.
