Exactly what the title says.

If bitcoin dropped to the price of a dollar (which we hope it never will), what would you do? Buy more and hold, sell? Buy a promising altcoin like ETH?

I personally would buy more bitcoin.
For sure I'd buy more btc, but not too much, because if it dropped to the price of 1$, it could easily drop lower, than that, so it's quite risky.
If so, and fell in price to $ 1, I would have bought as many as I would have been a pity not to spend. And I waited for the price to be back 1200. That's when I would be very happy.
Its very easy to say that to "buy as much as we can" but in real life that is never possible as if price falls that low then you need to have great level of courage to follow your statement.
Right. If price falls that low no one will trust bitcoin as much as now. Personally i would stop using bitcoin if price falls

Be honest, I will cry, then probably use gambling website if the price doesn't gets up.
to be honest that would be a good decision, it would be better to invest even more money into bitcoins then and wait for the future price increases

buying like a thousand dollar worth of bitcoins - that would be a thousand bitcoins - I don't think so it is a big risk at all. If the price rise even for a dollar, you already have 100% profit and if more, then you get more profits Smiley

In this scenario where bitcoins will be worth a dollar each, it would be the best time to buy it and never worry if it falls the price because if it falls, it falls only up to a dollar. Unless you buy a million worth of bitcoins then that would be a different story.
That's what I would do, only considering the current trend about the hype for bitcoins. However, if in the far future the bitcoin hype is totally gone, then there's no point in buying bitcoins anymore since it would nearly be considered worthless if there's no one actually going to be accepting bitcoins as a form of payment anymore.

I totally agree that there is no point of buyng bitcoin if people interest is gone.  If hype is gone and bitcoin is still used by people it is fine.  That means bitcoin had met it's value.  Then of course businessman is a businessman, there will still alott of attempt to hype his coin for their own profit.  Well if you can ride em you will have profit too of course.

You better think about it or look at the situation at the time. If the situation could indeed be profitable then we are obliged to buy most of the bitcoin is there, because it will certainly be beneficial for us in the next day. But I think if that happens, then everyone will wait or not to wait for all of the events that they receive

1$ for a bitcoin seems unrealistic to me.
If it would drop that low nobody would buy it. Bitcoin would simply stop to exist.
No miners would run a bitcoin mining software. So no transactions could be made what would mean the end of bitcoin.
I think that even 50$ per coin would lead to an end.

No unless its holding some value we cannot say that its dead, and if it falls to $1 price then there are many people who will prefer to take risk and buy at even that low price hoping that price will rise again.

I now I would take that risk. Unless the cause of the price drop is the block chain itself, I will still invest in bitcoin. It is a chance I will not ignore. I ignored bitcoin once, when it is still on its early years, I will not make that mistake again. I will buy bitcoins even when it hits 1$.

Although it is really far from truth that bitcoin will drop to $1, however when that time comes, I will definitely buy as much as I can. Bitcoin is the future, period. I just hope that the number of bitcoins will go as far as billion instead of just 21 million something.

Well that is really going to to be crying moment if the price of bitcoin is going to be at that price especially when you are holding a lot of it. So, you are just going to play for your bitcoins and going to hope for the gambling site make your remaining bitcoins grow. If I were you, take the chance don't lose hope and buy a lot.

That is roght! The key here is to buy a lot when the price of bitcoin gets lower because there is really a big chance of bitcoin price to rise again - why? Because there are many people actually using it already in the moment like you and me. There are also big investors that investing to bitcoins.

wow it will be my happiest moment in life...will buy more btc and wait until its rise in exchange....!!!
Think about you win 100 BTC right until bitcoin prices dropped to 1$ . If bitcoin drops so low, lots of people will lose their all earnings in all life. Bitcoin will never drop so low because people continue to use it and peoples are mining more and more
Yes thats never going to happen so thinking about it or making plans would be just a dream and if this happens i think it will not be easy to buy the bitcoins because users all over the world will only want to buy the bitcoin,no body gonna sell at that time.

Who will sell at that low price? Everyone will prefer to buy bitcoins if price falls to $1 but may be after that it will take long time for bitcoin to rise again.

Definitely, many people would do suicide  especially to those big investors same as you said they would  cry  especially to those who put all their assets  to convert it to bitcoin. Some people would  see that situation is an opportunity to buy more bitcoin.
