First,ico has been abandoned by investors and this is because the ico company is not performing well or is more scam.
Secondly,if the price of bitcoin rises suddenly,it will encourage investors to enter the market and invest in IEO.

Though the bad market conditions have an effect on ICOs progress but I don't think it is the main reason why they fail.

The main reason why most people avoid ico projects is because of the alarming rate of scams that are conducted with ICOs, so I don't think the bitcoin price increase would have any good effect on ICOs.

I would say, longterm and steady growth will make such an effect, not just a single fast BTC pump. Even better case would be if altcoins begin growing too.

Depends on how suddenly and how high. Because, if you mean like going 12k in one day, that wouldn't change much, if you mean 15k in one month that wouldn't change much neither but if it does 15k in one day that would change a lot. That is why it is not about how high you go or how fast you go there, it is about how fast you go high at the same time.

When that happens it does affect ICO's obviously because when there is a lot of money coming into bitcoin that results with people looking into other stuff they can make profits from, they make a ton of profit via bitcoin and they get hungry for more, no one says "this is enough" and stops, they go looking for more money in altcoins as well. That is why bitcoin going up suddenly is always great for altcoins but if it does it slowly that could result with altcoins going down.

If prices of cryptocurrencies like BTC and altcoins suddenly increase either with reasons or not, it encourages holders to sell. Just like what is happening right now, the price is climbing up in just one day, I for once will think this is heavily manipulated and will just sell after it gets oversold and then wait for the price to dip again to below $9k.

Actually in the hype of btc when it became 20000$ the crypto users has double it users and more people are impress how btc got that price and more ICO has made thier crowdfunding a success, in my opinion if btc will break the 20000$ it will gain more hype and wide spread of adoption will take place. because people will keep an eye on btc and take their chance to buy some of it ,believe me if btc breaks that all time high people will be crazy Wink
