... what would/will be the next most promising smart contract platform for the eth-based projects to migrate to?

those projects will port accounts into another chain with some contracts avaible and party will continiuse 90% of those projects doesn need ETH at all they want just money grab from people.
But this is the game.

IOTA is definitely the platform these smart contracts will flow to. You have to remember IOTA has no fees and scales infinitely because it's not a blockchain - but has the same benefits.

if ETH is dies. then another ETH will emerge as its successor. because the coin has no death. let alone bitcoin. it will always accompany his hunters throughout his life. Grin

In my opinion, the etherium is obviously not going to die. There are no objective signs of this and can not be. The etherium is still the leader of the Altkoins and if some part of the ICO conducted on its platform is fraudulent, then the ethereum can not be blamed. After the risky ICO has been screened in China, the aetherum should be significantly strengthened.

Could someone tell me what will happens to those altcoin which base on eth if eth dies?
Lets assume that it would really die then for sure most ICO's would jumped into another platform seeing that most projects as of now are basing on ETH platform which it does really make big contributions on its development this is why its really hard to believe or presumed that ETH would easily die on this way.If its being supported by most project then for sure it wont die.
Indeed, recently other platforms create ICO cannot compete to ICO projects use Ethereum platform. Particular is Waves - one of completior of Ethereum - does not have any projects success (in short time) after crowdsale (can grow price in short term).
For now no strong competition against Etherium besides on Waves but its still young but do have potential. If you do see most coins are eth-base.We wont know if some coins would able to toe-toe with it because we dont know on whats the future and the possible coins or competition that would happen against ETH. Dying as of now is nearly impossible to happen.Even bitcoin can possible be replaced too and ETH is a strong candidate.
I think ethereum will not die easily as you imagine, why? because the project is done very clearly and has built a good team, sponsors are also many, such as microsoft that uses ethereum technology Smiley
Etherereum just behind Bitcoin in the ranking of coinmarket, do you think it will die easy like your said? It also has a huge community like Bitcoin, the ICO market also a part in this community, beside, maybe you forget Ethereum is #1 altcoin for miner use GPU mining Roll Eyes

I think that NEO is tech-wise much superior to ETH, they also have a very nice community of devs, City of Zion.

Of course it will be replaced by another altcoin but that's not the end of it, NEO is replacing ETH gradually and its future will replace ETH but that does not say the end.

Ethereum has already shown to everyone that it is the king of altcoins and bitcoin is a king of cryptos Grin
I dont think that it will die, but some coins as ARK, Viacoin and Waves, can reach ETH market cap for sure.

Ethereum may die only when is outdone by a better tech. For that we would need much better coin and platform than Ethereum.

No, ethereum will not die, at least 10 years. With the current technology, it is rated as one of the coolest smartphones. I always appreciate it.

Hah,  if eth dies it will be step back in 2-3 years. Because many projects are bindet with that technology,  also big money loss for all investors. It's all in two words..

For me I think ethereum would not be die easily because most of the ICO they are using ethereum networks for their smart contracts and a more stable network for now. ETH market value now is getting bigger also and also a top promising crypto.

I am not sure if it will really dies, ethereum is very promising crypto but if this situation will really come to reality.
Then I guess many crypto will surely come up to top if the disappearance of eth is not due to banning all the cryptos.
