... what would/will be the next most promising smart contract platform for the eth-based projects to migrate to?

You can replace your money into another coin, there's a lot of coins to make profit besides eth. For me monero, ltc and ripple is a good investment after eth. Besides that, coins can dies is part of risk so let's deal with it. See again your strategy and looks carefully, if you think that coin will dies, just leave it. Good luck.

I dont think ethereum dies so soon because of its market cap and lots of prove ICO from erc20 based smart contracts . In any case of ethereum failure then WAVES would be the best platform to create smart contract its growing you can check its market growth.

if ethereum dies many of the exchangers will get bankrupt  Cry meaning almost all of the exchangers will bankrupt and investors also they will lost their money and will not gain profits anymore.

Nope... how they will get bankrupt, if a single coin dies? There are hundreds of other currencies out there. If the exchanges had invested a part of their revenues to purchase ETH, then it is a different story. The same with traders as well. IMO, Ether may not die suddenly. But with the current exchange rates and the market cap, it is looking like an over-inflated balloon.

ether won't die. on the contrary, it will grow and surpass btc with more and more projects built on it. don't forget it also has erc20 standard tailored for it. any serious new development will choose eth over btc.

ETH recently showed a lot of flaws. Any serious dev would consider ETH 1st , but also factor other platforms in the equation: Ardr, waves...

Ethereum died a long time back and it is just taking its time to expire. The minute that the upper Nazi's on this site jumped on board, the slide started to happen and it has internally degraded ever since.  The coin is being supported from inside the network and is being bailed by several members here that refuse to admit it, but it is all right there in there blockchain
I am not so sure if Ethereum died yet since there’s a bunch of coins being launched that thrive on the success of ETH.
What happened to the old days when coins were just regular coins and people didn’t have to use their Ethereum address just so they could get a coin that will have its own success?

I feel the only way the major crypto's will die would be some type of major worldwide network issue such as a cyber attack other then that I feel they are here to stay for a long time.
That would have already happened if that were the case, regarding ETH if this die it would not be suddenly,
It could be several years before something like this may occur.

Investors need to learn to look at the history and see where ther ebuys are coming from and see where the money is going.  Forum bail outs for the sake of not looking like bad investors is a thing that will go on forever.

i have same thoughts like you, if it dies many token will lose support and probably many coin will dump so deep

Some dapps can migrate to another platform, it wouldn't be such an upheaval.

How can die something that replicates itself? We will see a ot of side chains of ETH,  Eth classic, eth original, eth classic original etc. Finally Vitalik will start the new project. I'll not buy any token of that.

Well my point of view says Ethereum will not die/drain so easily. The first reason I could think of is, it is loved by many peoples and the whale investors are keeping it healthy. Recently, miners have got their attention towards bitcoin mining because bitcoin network difficulty is increasing day by day which has led new comers to go into alt mining in which ETH holds first position. If a coin has drawn so much attention they I don't think it is going to die that easy. Moreover, there are so many alt coins and smart contract project which are backed up with Ethereum as mode of payment. So, one more time it holds a good position in the form of 'payment processor'. I think all these factors won't let it go and who know it is next bitcoin for us with huge investment opportunities too. I feel ETH as positive coin and also investing now days as the price is 10-25% below the optimum level.

Even i am not much into ERC20 smart contracts which is ethereum based if ethereum really dies there is option of creating smart contract using waves . I also hope that waves will be the replace of ethereum in case of failure ethereum.
