If regulation never comes, you can protect yourself in only one way - to master all the necessary information regarding the work of the market and the monsters living on it.
Thus, it will become possible to follow a strategy that will allow you to earn money on the market based on an understanding of the logic of market players.
Without regulation, it will be impossible to make the crypto market stable. Its dynamics will repel ordinary people and attract manipulators. Therefore, I think that the market has no choice, sooner or later it will become regulated like any other financial market.

I think the regulations is needed for ICOS to prevent those who want to scam investors and waste time of bounty hunters. Better participate on projects that will do an IEO on binance because you will surely get paid on bounties and a sure profit on investing.

If regulation never come anytime sooner can we protect ourselves? how can we protect ourselves from crypto monsters hiding in disguise, especially bounty projects coming into crypto space with full force, any ideas ? I know many are going to say we should do better research before promoting projects, is there any strict blows we can give these monsters by ourselves ?

Sometimes we need regulation to prevent crypto used by scammers in disguise.
But regulation will make crypto more centralized, we must think about the regulation and keep crypto decentralized.
The bounty project listed on IEO is very good because exchange already verified the project.

Regulation will bring more security and comfort here in crypto market, but you should remember that big money is gained fast only where the big risks are usual. Use this opportunities and take these risks while others are waiting for a safe market.
this is what the real crypto enthusiasts do. buying coins into which many people are afraid to enter, invest in new projects and that’s how huge money is earned
I call bullshit. even if there's a real crypto enthusiast that are really into crypto i'm pretty sure that they are not brainless people who just throwing away their money into garbage coin just because people afraid to buy it. you should consider people are afraid not because there's nothing there.
However regulation will indeed bring a more secured and legitimacy feeling but it's kinda restricting although if the scams are getting out of hand there's nothing we can do but to request for a regulation.

Are you serious? did you do it
it is speculation. although what has happened so far there are no regulations that govern, but I consider regulations important to suppress what happens to the market and the use of crypto globally and is recognized by everyone.

Do you really think regulators can stop these "monsters" you are talking about? They will always exist no matter how much policies and tougher regulations are done. You have to protect your own self from these bounty projects. It is your own responsibility to make sure you are joining the right campaign. The only strict blows you all can give is to avoid them at all cost.

Regulation in the market is a big help to minimize the risk, we cannot totally wipe out the scams here but with regulation by the government, the scams will significantly reduce. This regulation are meant to minimize the risk as the government also know it's hard to stop all of them, with consequences these scammers will think twice before committing a crime because they will be penalize.

Investors needs regulation to protect them because not all of them are aware how risky the investing in the market, but with regulation they can trust the government as they know it's monitored by the government. Don't think regulation will never come because the government is already starting to regulate the market now, it might take time to fully regulate but good thing they started it already.

Cryptocurrency ecosystems are diverse, so making strict regulations is really difficult.  Fraudsters find ways to overcome it.  ICOs are almost always the place with the most scammer no matter what.  We should choose for ourselves a safe path as Huobi participating in their IEO is very reputable.
there should be a way out despite the many variations, such as the United Nations was established to make regulations between countries,
if crypto has been recognized in many large countries, then it should be able to establish an institution that regulates cryptocurrency and monitors every coming ICO,
everything must be verified in advance to avoid scams, so if the project is a scam it can be accounted for

It is like you are already answering it all.
That is the best way for now.
We cannot hit back. It will be a long discussion and a lot of paper works to deal with and it is not our forte' to do that.
We are here to make money in a faster way although we are risking a lot. Going through scandalous trials will just mess it up and also our privacy being out just for the purpose of hitting back. Better to stay in the shadows.
Then, back to research. No good options for now or wait for them to be listed in a trusted exchange.
Remember, these exchange does their research too. That is to see the reliability of the project. They dont to list something which will not make them profits.

Regulation will not come to the end in cryptocurrency ever, as bitcoin is unlikely to be regulated by someone, and on the one hand it's good , but I understand that a lot of scammers and they steal a lot of money from many newcomers.
regulations starting to emerge after the hype of bitconi in 2017 but it's not universally regulated. what I mean is each country has already preparing regulation for their own citizens regarding cryptocurrency although the country that do so is only few but that's still regulation, even the KYC and AML is already universally required.

I don't think regulation will ever come, there is no company or country that offer regulation and there's even a guaranty that they can really manage all the crowdfunding that's coming in, they will just become a rating site.
It's just up to investors to take legal action if they want to file a suit, crowdfunding has become a free for all.

Regulations are never going to be enough to stop the activities of scammers, cryptocurrencies by design cannot be controlled completely and even if enough regulation was put in place to stop a significant portion of the scammers in the market many bounty hunters are still going to choose to invest their time and efforts in projects that do not abide by those regulations, most likely because they do not want to go through know your customer policies that will have to be implemented if you want regulations to be put in place.

In that case we have to st in a box with bitcoin and top altcoins only. We should not dare to invest in new project as day by day its becoming very difficult to identify scam projects and eventually we will fall into those.
Lets hope for the best, or the real gems in crypto anyways can save us.

The only way we can protect our self is just to involve our self with bitcoin investment alone, because without regulation and authority to be in charge of this scam case, scammer will keep flooding the market, but if we still want to be giving it the shut, then we have to really be prepared for the battle, and one of the weapon to use in the battle is strong research, we need to research on the project like it is our life or it is a treasure that we are looking for.

Researching on the project really goes beyond just opening their whitepaper, we have to go some extra length in making sure that the project we are researching on is really what it is said to be, and that it will surely have a promising future and a dedicated team that will never abandoned the project at any time.

Regulations are good and bad, it depends on the point of view.
If regulations come, we can expect a faster start of adoption, institutional investors will come, acceptance of cryptocurrencies by merchants, the possibility to receive salary in cryptocurrencies.
But, it will kill the nice idea of cryptocurrencies - be free.

believe me it will be regulated because the government has no chance to stop digital currency
we will get there but don't buy too much because we don't know what will happen
maybe one day you wake up and the only coin that will be use is bitcoin or Ethereum
make sure what you are holding are usable in the future don't follow hearsay or videos
do your own research it will give you more knowledge and deep understanding of digital assets
currencies, because during this time self proclaim digital pro are all over the place spreading false news

The exchanges who are doing all these IEO will protect you. As good as it may sound, these exchanges are the ones also going to hurt you specially because you are submitting IDs to them. Whoever started this IEO had it in mind to put some strict blows to all.

not today buddy, most of IEO now come from a stupid exchange, like coinsbit,yobit,pb2bp (i forgot what exactly name of that stupid exchange.)
and now, IEO have a same risk like a ICO.

Just stick to the big exchange who does the IEO.

yes, mostly people will do that.
but how about freshcomer ?
with dont know anything about what a good what a bad, well on 2017 i managed several project as a staff on their telegram and slack group.
and i know exactly what freshcomer do,they dont know anything!
some scammer using my name and another admin, then pm'ed investor, sadly, most of them has been scamed before i know.
and know , IEO has a same bad like ICO,
for example, just look stupid coinsbit.
they claim themself, The best cryptoexchange launched in 2018.
what a joke,we know exactly coinsbit just a shit exchange.
but how freshcomer think? new way for growing their pocket.

as long people still selfish, i guess regulation will never come true.

In my opinion if regulation never comes then will be seeing enormous amount of scams project because guys who create scams coins have immunity from responsibility and the can easily cheat anyone. On the other hand it hard to understand for that the next bubble looks the same like the previous. I mean no regulations, plenty of scams and so on. To sum up regulations should be but very limited.

Until now there are no official regulations that govern cryptocurrency transactions that occur either, ico, ieo or trading, therefore we as cryptocurrency users must always be careful in making every transaction because every loss we experience is a risk that we must bear itself and every fraud that occurs in the world of cryptocurrency will be very impossible for us to track the perpetrators, so that, our lost assets will be very difficult for us to take back.
Not specifically as a whole but they are implementing bit by bit since they are starting regulating local exchange already. Although crypto is indeed irreversable, untrackable (for identity of its users), however if all of exchanges are regulated by the government then for me it'll be a good thing for its users so that it'll be possible for those victim of scam to track the identity of scammer who scammed them.

In the event that regulations never come, there is nothing investors or promoters of a trick project can do as opposed to proceed onward. In the event that regulations never come, crypto standard adoption won't be conceivable. I truly think we need a few regulations since crypto enthusiasts have experienced a ton phony projects with phony groups. We should trust things show signs of improvement over the long haul
