The exchanges who are doing all these IEO will protect you. As good as it may sound, these exchanges are the ones also going to hurt you specially because you are submitting IDs to them. Whoever started this IEO had it in mind to put some strict blows to all. Just stick to the big exchange who does the IEO.
Reason why IEO did succeed due to this one reason. We know on what happened with ICO where lots of investors lose up millions of dollars due to these fraud projects.
IEO do have some cons too but it much way more better than that traditional ico we've known. Frauds do still come though even how good it is.
We might not able to see it directly but to those ieo projects been dumping hard we wouldn't even know if that was been part of the scheme or just typical effect of the bear market.

If regulation never come anytime sooner can we protect ourselves?

The answer basically is yes. But, it depends on how we receive and do actions, including how our strategy and carefulness in selecting the project, whether it is legit, scam, or failed one. Waiting for the exact regulation may need more and more times, and we can't wait for longer time to protect ourselves.

how can we protect ourselves from crypto monsters hiding in disguise, especially bounty projects coming into crypto space with full force, any ideas?

What do you mean of the crypto monster? The scammers?
If related to the bounty itself, choosing the bounty with weekly payment, especially with a top coin or traded coin will be worthier to follow.

I know many are going to say we should do better research before promoting projects, is there any strict blows we can give these monsters by ourselves?

Well, probably doing research and analysis is classic, but it is really really important to be done.
The analysis is not only to know about what the project offers and how its roadmap, but also analyzing their team whether they are a real person or not, checking the wallet transaction of the project whether it is normal or natural or not. Being active on their telegram channel and other social media will also help up to know more about this project. And of course, it is better to put our participation in the project in which there are the team members that have previous good track records developing the successful projects.

I agree with you and most IEO exchanges will protect you. Well not really you but themselves from getting a bad name if they start running crappy IEOs projects or scams. This is much better than nothing and at least you know thet coin/token will be listed. You are right and these exchanges will have your KYC and this is why I do not believe in KYC and will not join a KYC exchange.

We have seen how vultures take advantage of every situations, like what happen in 2017. So It will be very difficult unless somewhat calls the project early and expose the bad entity behind.

I know many are going to say we should do better research before promoting projects, is there any strict blows we can give these monsters by ourselves ?

This is the only weapon we have, research and educate ourselves and look for tell tale signs of a possible scam projects. This is an open market, so we are like in a jungle, one needs to be careful walking around because there's a lot of wolves in sheep's clothing. Perhaps you can go around the community and ask for their insights if you have doubts about a certain project. There are a lot of experience members here that can smell a scam project from afar.

You can still protect yourself and you should not feel worried about that because so many services have been putting their main concern to provide the best audit service to avoid any scam or untrusted projects. But for bounty, you can't protect yourself caused by that depends on how you can try to do the best analyzation to gather the best project.
Just look at the team and what the team has already made.

Don't think negative, regulation will eventually come because crypto market is already getting bigger now.
The government will ensure that people especially the investors will get protection when they risk their money into investments in the space.

It's impossible that the government will not get involve because this industry has grew into a billion dollars industry, there's a lot of money created and they can benefit from taxing the people. As they do their job to protect, they can also get the benefit of it through taxes, so we have to expect for that to come. While market is not fully regulated, we should be smart this time and only choose the investment that we think has a potential, and I think this time is quite safer compared to ICO since crowdsale are done in exchanges.

If regulations never come, there is nothing investors or promoters of a scam project can do rather than to move on. If regulations never come, crypto mainstream adoption won't be possible. I really think we need some regulations since crypto enthusiasts have suffered a lot from fake projects with fake teams. Let's hope things get better in the long run.

the safest is to follow IEO on large exchanges such as Binance and HUOBI. Exchanges that carry out IEO with high credibility will protect investors compared to having to follow the ICO which is clearly a hotbed of scammers who are now no longer trusted. The rules made will not affect scammers, we must be smarter than scammers so that the crypto ecosystem does not become a scammer's lair.

Regulation may have to come in if we are to see BTC cross $100k. As it is now, governments cannot trust what they cannot control so that future of regulation is bleak unless governments start creating their own cryptocurrency but even that is no guarantee as they can as well ban other coins that is not created by them

Protect our funds, yes.
how can we protect ourselves from crypto monsters hiding in disguise, especially bounty projects coming into crypto space with full force, any ideas ?
Very simple.
Don't join those suspicious bounties. Yes, they might be hiding and disguising but you have to analyze each project and bounty that you join.
I know many are going to say we should do better research before promoting projects, is there any strict blows we can give these monsters by ourselves ?
File a scam accusation and warn others about them.

Simple, don't invest on them because 99% if the time investors will lose their capital so if we don't give any chance for those scammers to make money then we can protect the whole crypto market from the crisis.

Regulations even can't stop them if people keep losing money on their hands.

The space is still young, so also is the IEO,ICO and altcoins (less than 4 years). The regulations may likely start from America towards other countries. The prosecution and discovery going on in the space  will help to enact effective laws that will control crimes in coming years. Since America is leading the campaign it will help the adopt in other smaller countries

Then we will get used to today's conditions. Actually, it's not a bad idea. I think the market is not very compatible with intervention. If there is an intervention in the sense of restriction, I think it does not have very healthy results.

If crypto regulation never comes there is nothing we can do to tackle scammers, with even regulations i bet it won't be that effective, scammers will always have their ways to prey on victims, if its a must for you to invest then go to huobi or binance and participate in their IEO projects
