Until now there are no official regulations that govern cryptocurrency transactions that occur either, ico, ieo or trading, therefore we as cryptocurrency users must always be careful in making every transaction because every loss we experience is a risk that we must bear itself and every fraud that occurs in the world of cryptocurrency will be very impossible for us to track the perpetrators, so that, our lost assets will be very difficult for us to take back.

To one degree or another, regulation is already here. Upbit and Okex exchanges are delisted anonymous coins, regulators had a direct hand in it, and the more their influence expands, the more it will be reflected on the market, primarily on exchanges. I think a lot of lawsuits will be filed next year specifically for cryptocurrency exchanges.

If regulation never come anytime sooner can we protect ourselves? how can we protect ourselves from crypto monsters hiding in disguise, especially bounty projects coming into crypto space with full force, any ideas ? I know many are going to say we should do better research before promoting projects, is there any strict blows we can give these monsters by ourselves ?

Regulation will surely come and if not the space itself will set it own standard.

I do think investors and bounty hunters need to be wise now, not every project worth participating in, another thing tha I observe is that there most people are impatient with the team, they have other thing to do and even have there own personally life to look after, give them time to get things right
Regulations is needed inside ico's which mostly being penetrated by scammers, both bounty and investment needs to be done with good research in order to avoid ended up with nothing. You have to be careful investing your time and your money, there's a big space out there where both scammers and real developers are working , you need to be more selective from those target projects that you wanted to support.

We ourselves cannot effectively protect ourselves from cryptocurrency scammers. Using the Internet, scammers can be around the world and it is very difficult to install. Only law enforcement agencies can fight them, and then, if most states join their efforts for this.
This year alone, various sorts of scammers stole more than $ 4.3 billion in cryptocurrency. Theft of any property, whatever it is expressed, has always been a crime, and therefore the state for a long time can not stand aside from this. In any case, the regulation of cryptocurrency by the states will be and will be very soon.

Just be vigilant in every work and decision you made, specially crypto investing, Because while we are involve in cryptocurrency investment we should know the risk associated with it in the very beginning specially now that the regulation in cryptocurrency industry is not yet implemented if we are doing bounty works observe due deligence everytime we choose the bounty campaign to prevent any problem in the future.

I think cryptocurrency can protect itself because cryptocurrency is decentralized and nothing can control cryptocurrency.
We have a big way to use cryptocurrency and as long as we have that way, cryptocurrency will still available although many countries will ban.
People will think that the regulations cannot stop them from using the cryptocurrency.
But if we talk about the project, then I think we will see many more projects that can scam people, and people will not trust cryptocurrency.
I think the exchanges will make the regulation for every project that wants to get listed in their site, and the project needs to obey the rule if they want to see their project get listed.
That will prevent the participants from getting scam by the project because at least, they will feel that there is a protection to them if somehow the project wants to scam them.

in my opinion cryptocurrency is a self-regulated product my friend
so we don't need any regulations, because if the regulations comes, this industry will be more complicated

self regulated and being decentralized are i guess have a difference  . i am more convince that cryptos were unregulated but still some of them are regulated or those coins that are centralized  .

those centralized coins can be called self regulated i guess  ?   other stuffs related to cryptos and blockchain like for example trading exchanges  , wallets , sites  .  most of them are regulated  but people dont really have a big problem on them   .

From the start all we know that nothing is secured and safe here in crypto world. In terms of investing bounty or in holding. We all know that regulation is really far from the reality. And that is already expected from the start because all we know that many countries and government are against crypto specially bitcoin and altcoin. To protect your self? I think you need to study first and have some research before investing.

No matter how much research you indulge in before investing in a project, you can never be 100% sure about a certain ICO or IEO. If you are going ahead with investment in a particular project, then always keep in mind that there is a certain amount of risk involved. There is no method available, which can reduce this level of risk to zero.

Bitcoin can protect itself from the governments. As long as there is an internet connection, bitcoin will be running by itself, and I think the government will be hard to control bitcoin. It will help bitcoin if the government can protect and support bitcoin, so people don't have to worry about the bad things. It will differ if we talk about the bounty projects because the projects need to be controlled, so they don't scam people. People will feel safer if the government can manage the projects and will do something if the project scam the people.

If regulation never comes, you need to protect yourself by follow your own rules of a good project, if you make a mistake you can ask the community to help show people try about the project there is the power of decentralization - community.
While full regulation has not come yet, we can only rely on ourselves and in order not to lose, we need to be smart.
Change our way of thinking, never think that investing in crypto gives easy money as that kind of mentality will usually lead us to failures.

I don't think it will never come, it's just delayed because if they will regulate, they will have to study the market first so they can employ
an effective law to regulate the market, and it will take time as they are protecting here the majority and the law should be easy to comply and that it would help the crypto market to grow.

Many exchanges are doing the sales now which we call IEO.
Though this is not a good thing for the bounty hunter, Yes they might be more secure to join the project now BUT.
This also lessen the budget for the bounty campaigns.

I don't think that is an option — for the regulation not to come, I mean. If people keep supporting cryptocurrencies, and new users continue to arrive, crypto will eventually grow big enough that regulators won't have a choice but to figure out how to regulate it. They might not know how to do it right now, or they might be purposefully delaying it, hoping that people will just give up out of fear or skepticism. Sticking with crypto through thick and thin is the answer, in my opinion.

Just like you have said, conducting a research before joining an altcoin project is the best way not to fall a victim of scams. Know the team as much as they claim they want to know you through KYC and don't fall for too good to be true projects.  Although there might be regulations as goes by but to what extent will it be effective.

You have to change your mindset first, forget the profit thing that you wanted when you try to promote bounty program. At least it will make you thinking hard to pick a good bounty with a good team and the project is deserve to promote. Because what is happening now, I see many bounty hunters who choose bounty program just only side profit.

I mean they are only see the distribution of tokens first and see the highest paying that will be choose and forget to make an analyst about the ins and out of the project. This thing is applies also to new project investors the analsyt factor is really important and in order to reduce the scam project.

No there is not any strict measure to protect ourselves from scammers other than we become much aware about crypto fraud, fraud projects. Indeed regulations will help control crypto fraud. Still then there maybe scammers. So it is a better way to educate ourselves about cryptocurrency and do research before investing and doing bounty campaigns.

If regulation is not placed, you are still protected under the law. It does not really need crypto regulations for anyone to be protected against scammers. Regulation is not needed against projects that get investments from people only to end up vanishing after acquiring a huge sum. Regulation is not needed either against projects that use huge popular companies as well as fake identities and partnerships in their marketing in order to gain the trust of investors.

Sue them in the proper courts and they will still be dealt with properly with or without regulation.

Then we will get used to today's conditions. Actually, it's not a bad idea. I think the market is not very compatible with intervention. If there is an intervention in the sense of restriction, I think it does not have very healthy results.

or avoid them entirely.  why risk it if you're already doubtful in the first place. these shitty projects will eventually vanish if people started ignoring them.
