the poll is closed for some reason , but I will reply here:
I will not use Bitcoin 2.0 in any shape or form
there is only one bitcoin and whatever is created won't be bitcoin buy something else whatever you call it
as for Satoshi's vision , isn't Bitcoin SV standing for Satoshi's Vision?  Cheesy so you can tell that sometimes even the greatest of visions are crappy Grin

If Satoshi would do something like this, how could you trust his words in the future? He would destroy his own creation, Bitcoin. So a decentralized currency would be destroyed by only one person and Satoshis idea is that such a thing is not possible. And why should I use Bitcoin 2.0 if Bitcoin 3.0 maybe comes on the market at any time and Bitcoin and Bitcoin 2.0 become worthless? If Satoshi should come back (which will probably never happen), he should rather develop his creation further and not replace Bitcoin with a new coin. That would destroy the trust in crypto.  Wink

Well in bitcoin 2.0 there will be decentralized voting I would imagine, so the users on the network would vote if we should move to bitcoin 3.0.

''he should rather develop his creation further and not replace Bitcoin with a new coin"..... it is bitcoin still, just like windows 95 and windows ME is still windows.

Hmmm, ok, if he would really only develop Bitcoin further and not destroy his original creation, it would certainly be interesting. But if he started a completely new blockchain, the old Bitcoin blockchain would be dead and worthless overnight. Windows 95 has no value today either and is useless. With an operating system that's ok, but with a currency like Bitcoin it would be a disaster. Developing further or starting a new blockchain are two different things for me. I am for further development of the Bitcoin blockchain, but never for a start of a new blockchain, even if it would still be called Bitcoin.  Wink

I stand with Ukraine.
Something happening like that is around %0.000000000000000000000000000000001. So i must say it is very unlikely.

Let's say it happened, if it will become a pow coin with free distribution, the difficulty would be very high and price would be very high also. I don't expect he is doing an ico Cheesy

Although I agree that the situation described in the OP is very unlikely to happen, I can't agree with the selected text. The difficulty of a POW coin depends on the amount of miners connected to the network. We can't say in advance how high or low it can be. Same goes for the price (of any coin, not only POW based). The price depends on demand and supply, and I personally doubt that the demand for that coin can be very high, especially in the very beginning.

Of course, I will definitely use it. For sure it will have the greatest features and almost all of the investors in the crypto world will support that especially big whales cause they know that it will be again unstoppable. If that is the case I hope I am updated if he really reveals himself.

They would not do it because there is no things that need to change in bitcoin only the updates and upgrades of what they need to improve in their system, but okay let we say that it happened, there‘s any act that we could do for it just follow the system and what have changed because we are only the user.

I will use it but it should migrate our old Bitcoin 1.0 to Bitcoin 2.0.
If migrating would not work then i might think it thoroughly while balancing the whole thing if there is an advantage to either both sides.
Although it won't happen anymore since Satoshi was nowhere to be found.
And it needs to be debated first until someone decides what's the best option.

I'm not that wise myself to arrive at such a decision without seeing the reaction of the people who, in my opinion, are the real deal in the field. This is, first of all, Andreas Antonopoulos. He's not hiding keeping valuable secrets, neither he's selling books with those secrets at a high price. On the contrary, he has permitted to download his books for free from github, and he answers questions on his YouTube channel and on reddit regularly. I would act in accordance with his advice.

Bitcoin will be forever Bitcoin.

Since the inception of Bitcoin the devs. always upgrading nonstop for the betterment of it. I think also that Satoshi is there helping the people, in his own way, who actively maintain and continuous build of Bitcoin. it's just that he don't want to reveal himself.

I would say yes, and I will follow Satoshi because I think if he came out with Bitcoin 2.0, it means that the technology will better than bitcoin, and we should follow him because I am sure that he will gather all technology from bitcoin into new technology. But I don't know if that will happen or not because we cannot find where Satoshi lived and it still a big question for us.

we don`t need a face, we don`t need a address, we need a guy to move a few coins in his wallets, post on this forum and expand upon his invention, enlighten the masses, he has the opportunity to be on every news show and the biggest podcast JRE on the internet. All which he could do anon, through a messenger or voice changer. O well, I take matter into my own hands. We the people can`t expect him to be our baby sitter. His invention is using more power than IRELAND and creates more waste than most people would like to admit https://youtu.be/K8kua5B5K3I?t=285 . We need to do something to stop it and create a better alternative. Here is some wise words from the best documentary maker in the world. It is not just about the power usage, but the use of the power usage. If I had that much power for my farm, I could feed MILLIONS. Anyways there is a protest in my local park/climate change picnic I must attend to, give the public insight into this issue.

I think this whole Satoshi thing is irrelevant. Why should we care about him (let's suppose Satoshi is/was a 'he')? We got ten bloody years of experience a disappointing one.

I know, some people are just happy with bitcoin as is, I'm not, along with 99.999% percent of human population on the planet who still live under a corrupted monetary system which is run by central banks and governments and bitcoin has done almost nothing for them. Let bitcoin whales and  a bunch of smarties alone with their wealth and hobbies, people need a far more efficient alternative.

Bitcoin is the most promising technology in recent decades and the most disappointing one at the same time, thanks to junior technocrats who confidently and arrogantly resist change by sticking to their 'soft-fork' obsession and their "let's feel super smart" addiction.

It is not Satoshi's job, it is our responsibility and it is not about making fantasies about a utopic super-coin with magical power. It is about specific urgent technical improvements that we desperately need to overcome two major problems with current bitcoin: performance and centralization of mining.

It is not even about the solution, it is about the determination and will, it is about commitment. So instead of what op is asking I prefer to ask:

How committed you are to help with creating a truly decentralized and scalable Bitcoin?

Ain`t nobody making a utopic super coin with magical power, the coin is there it is called bitswift, with decentralized voting, fair distribution, basic income and file sharing. It is just a matter of getting people to use it. and refining it a bit so it is easier accessible and understandable to the general public.

I am 100% committed as you can tell by my post, I even shove it in the bankers face everytime I walk past a bank, shove it to politicians look at my tweets Wink  but no one seems to notice, no one seems to care. They will in the future, they will be foced to, you are right though, I AINT WAITING FOR SATOSHI ANYMORE, in fact I am starting to despise the man, unless he actually did get killed by the "elite". I have showed the future of bitcoin, People are just blinded by greed. Sometimes you need to give up a ok thing for a great thing.

The reason I wanted to satoshi to help as you can tell by this poll at the start of the post, he has the power and network of miners/people to get the ball rolling a lot faster. I know how to make it work within bitcoin itself, But hey, fuck it, I do me now. You want things done right, you got to do them yourself.

what you are forgetting is that now that bitcoin is so popular and is still growing is not because of a single person behind it. it is instead because bitcoin is a decentralized currency and as a result it offers us unique utilities that nothing else in the world can do.
and main point of Satoshi being anonymous has always been to keep bitcoin decentralized. coming out defeats that purpose and a secondary coin is going to be a shitcoin if uses the term "bitcoin 2.0"

If Satoshi came out with Bitcoin2.0 would you use it over Bitcoin current client, if he advised you to and let you exchange your current btc into it? let`s say he used his keys to 100% prove it is the real person or team.

This ones intresting, well there are mixed answers for me in this situation. If he would be the real one then I guess yes, I would definitely go with his suggestion of migrating. I't because he's probably more knowledgeable than us and in any case, he wouldn't be creating another if there is something wrong with his first creation. Another is maybe is I am afraid of the current amount he has right now, if he goes public then people would be panicking, because some of us believe that he is dead and that million btc is lost forever.

I mean there does not need to be something wrong with the first creation, just they/he or she have a better creation. Look at Nintendo for example, or Windows, There was nothing wrong with their old creations, tech got better, ideas got better, they made new systems.

Seems to me Bitcoin can and will evolve as need arrises, so the idea of btc2.0 is kinda moot..
Just another greedy pin-head fantasy for the likes of Roger Ver, Jihan Wu, Craig Wright.
Everyone is creating their own alt coins and claiming it to be bitcoin and making a ton of money from it, even if Satoshi comes out and create something, it will be another alt coin and since all the spin offs from bitcoin is having a huge market valuation, bitcoin 2.0 will also have a huge market cap and there is no doubt about it but nothing can replace bitcoin.
I don't even think santoshi will ever want to go outside the original plans of bitcoin and how it able to survive this far and also high high value, we can all see what those that came out with all manner of altcoin calling them new version of bitcoin what is happening to them in the market and how their are unable to meet up with bitcoin in terms of market price.

I don`t think Satoshi gives a fuck about the price. I assume they are like me and see 1 btc as 1 btc and gave up on fiat a long time ago.
