Gambling is a place to spend money, although many gamblers consider casinos to be a place to earn money. But in reality, more gamblers lose their money at casinos or gambling sites. So I think all of us here probably have almost the same experience, namely losing a lot of money gambling

I also lost money because I lost on gambling, but maybe not that much. But I know there are people who spend a lot of money for gambling. In your opinion, what should we do if we have lost a lot of money on gambling? Do we keep gambling to win so we can cover up previous losses? or stop and work normally and leave gambling? Or do you have other suggestions?

If someone is able to leave gambling completely then this marvelous news for him as I agree most of us have similar experiences here all of them resorting to losing money, sometimes big money. If not it would be wise to set a small budget aside for every week or for the whole month and stick religiously to it no matter what happens.Of course sometimes the rage of the game will get us but if we set the budget most of the time we will be fine, this is at least my personal experience as I found out I could not leave gambling completely now I can control most of the money I throw into it.There is no middle way around here.

It seems that what you said corresponds to reality. Giving up gambling is very difficult, unless we are bankrupt and have no more money to deposit. I stopped gambling for about 3 or 4 months (didn't gamble at all) but after getting extra income from this forum, I started gambling again. The difference is, now I limit myself and limit the money I can use to gamble

Actually there is nothing wrong with gambling, as long as gambling does not make us lose a lot of money and have a lot of debt. One way I control my money for gambling is by withdrawing money from my bank account and leaving a small amount of money in the account. So when I want to gamble I need to deposit money into an ATM, and often I am too lazy to do that, so I cancel my gambling desires.

Having losses and continuously playing for the reason you want to recover your money are certainly not right and we all know that. However many gamblers can't refrain themselves, that's a fact. Well, some of us are still playing despite of losses but still able to play in moderation. Why? Because our main desire is to have fun.

But this is not the case if your intention (that's why you're playing) is to double your money. Just quit, that's the right thing to do for gamblers who are looking for profit. Find a decent job and forget about gambling because instead of gaining you'll only lose your money if you have no discipline.

The desire for recovery is normal and I know it shouldn't be what drives us to keep playing, but frankly speaking isn't it what the poker gurus who play high stakes also do? I remember when I watched some sessions on Pokerstars between those high rollers in cash game, sometimes one guy was down a million and also didn't stop playing. Of course it was about making it back sometimes. I think nobody is free of this thought process that when they lost money, the goal is to make it back. The problem with it is that decisions become less rational often times and the hope for luck dominates.

If I myself experience defeat, of course I feel annoyed, but this feeling of irritation does not make me stop gambling because the losses I experience are not too many so I can still continue gambling. I always think that gambling is just a game that I think is for fun. I'm happy, so if I decide to gamble, it means I'm also prepared to lose my money, therefore I always create a spending limit for playing and don't go beyond the budget I have implemented.

There are many gamblers who find it difficult to accept defeat, especially if they have spent a lot of money, of course they will continue playing until they win and can catch up on their losses. In fact, this will worsen the situation if it does not meet expectations, of course they will experience deep disappointment and regret for having spending money that doesn't produce anything.

If you want to go on having fun in exchange for losing more it's your choice to go on or stop playing, people after losing huge money cannot stop playing because the adrenaline is too high to stop playing, this has been our problem we want to stop but we're losing control because there's a big part of you that want to go and you are not fully satisfied.
The hardest thing in gambling is getting satisfied it's not really chasing the loss but having a hard time controlling the adrenaline and that fuels the desire to go on, people think that they will feel lucky if they move, but it is wrong it really the adrenaline pushing you to play.

What to do when we start losing when gambling? It’s depends. If you’ve manage to quickly burn through the money you previously allocated to gambling that day, then it’s best you pack up and head home. Easier said that done. A lot of people would still get tempted to try and play some more having renewed hopes that their luck is about to change for the better.
In most cases, that individual ends up losing even more than he originally bargained. I think it’s best to quit when allocated money is already spent. You can also occupy yourself with other leisure activities so you wouldn’t have to think of the money lost gambling.

Technically, you have two (2) choices:

Either you stop; or
You continue and recover your losses.

Generally, stopping gambling after losing a certain round would be the common answer for everyone to say. This not only helps you prevent experiencing a losing streak but this is also better long-term. But in all honesty, it is easier said than done especially if the money involved is relatively huge.

Though that may be the case, I would still suggest that you try with all your might to resist gambling and recovering your losses. This is what the house wants everyone to experience- to feel the endless cycle of gambling of winning/losing.

Gambling is something that should never be the preferred method of making money on a regular basis. Of course, everyone gambles to try their luck and make money from it but gambling should never be done with the idea of always making money. Gambling should only be used as a method of fun and in case of loss of money the person must control himself/herself and stop gambling.

In case of losing money in gambling the person should control himself/herself not succumb to his greed and take a break from the game for a certain period of time before gambling any more. If they continue gambling with the aim of regaining the lost money the person will most likely not be able to control himself/herself and the amount of loss will gradually increase. For this reason, I think that anyone who loses money gambling should take a break for a while.

I think that especially people who gamble to regain the money they lost in gambling are definitely addicted to gambling because this desire never ends. In other words, if a person cannot control his/her emotions after losing money and loses more it will clearly be obvious that this person is addicted to gambling.

As you said before, in gambling no one wins. This means that there will be many people who will experience defeat. So covering up losses by aiming for victory is not the right choice. And yes maybe leaving gambling (for those who are addicted) and starting to work normally is a better choice. Unless you are not addicted and just think it is a game.

Just... use your common sense? Play if you want (and if you have money) and don't if you don't have those? Jesus christ gambling isn't a "necessity". This is regardless of whether you've lost a lot of money or not. You don't "cover" anything here.

Sure it's entertainment like most games, but unlike say RPGs, you don't just retry because you want to finish the game, they're inherently different types, gambling has no end so trying to achieve this nonsensical goal of "recovering losses" is just a made up thing addicts want so that they can keep on playing. If you want to play, just play. Honestly that sounds a lot more healthy and probably would make it a lot easier to realize that you should only gamble whenever you can.

If you feel like you have lost a lot of money, one of the best ways is to take a break from gambling activities. However, if you are addicted enough and find it difficult to stop, then play with the smallest bets so that you don't lose large amounts of money and you can carry out your gambling hobby.

Also consider your future. Don't devote all your thoughts and time to gambling. There are still many other positive activities you can do to forget about gambling, such as playing with friends, having a family event, or going to the mall. We must be able to balance in living life. Gambling can make us stressed, especially if you feel like you have run out of money and maybe have debt

Winding down.
Gambling will never give us opportunities to win consistently because it will also put their business at risk. So it's really possible that we will lose a lot if we don't have self-control and discipline in gambling. When that happens, try to limit your bets so your losses will also be minimized. But if it's still not working for you since your urge to gamble becomes uncontrollable, then that's the time you decide to leave gambling for good. The moment you stop gambling, you stop committing losses as well.

That is your personal point of view. Gambling is a place to have fun with which is to spend and earn. It is not good for someone to lose money everytime. If gamblers lose money everytime then casinos will also loss customers because they would not have that willingness to go and play gamble again if they are losing always. And what I will advise you to do when you lose money in gamble. Don't stay in the hall again. Leave the place to your home and if you must play again don't just go back and play but think of what what game to play and how to play and which team to play if it is a sportsbet. And make sure you drink cold water and you might even take sleeping pills to cold down your your brain.

What's the point of looking for means to rejuvenate cash just to gamble again when the easiest thing to do is just stop gambling?.. what's the sense in that?.. how efficient do you think gambling is?? What's the chances of earning something tangible without spending proportionally on gambling?

I'll suggest that any gambler that wants to make much returns or say - revive himself after a major loss should just find a way to be really comfortable in winning on mega speculations... That's it. Anything outside that, you're losing!!

this will differ from person to person, I for one would probably take a break and rethink what happened and what to do next, other might approach this differently.

Do we keep gambling to win so we can cover up previous losses?
gambling for the sole purpose of recovering losses is one of the worst things a gambler can do. first, there is no guarantee you'll get back your previous losses, second, you will probably lose again, third, you are probably looking at an empty space scratching your head and thinking that you should have just stopped gambling instead of trying to chase your losses.

or stop and work normally and leave gambling?
wouldn't be a bad idea, but just make sure that this is what you want to do. it is not bad to gamble, as long as you do it moderately and responsibly.

A lot? I think you should consider quitting for good or quit until that greed pass. I think it's already been said countless times that chasing it will just lead to more losses and that's a fact we can't deny. I suggest to start getting some work or leave gambling for good.

I like the first sentence "gambling is a place to spend money" it shows how simple your question is to answer. When we lose or win one thing amongst these two should be done; stop or continue playing. Even those who win big can give gambling a break, if they're fed up with gambling. Too much of gambling can reduce some people's interest in gambling. Just like spending so much money on a single product can cause lose of appetite in the product. We may think that playing too much leads to addiction. I don't agree. Sometimes it leads to lesser engagement in gambling. If a person continues playing games, despite losing numerous amount in gambling, eventually he'll get fed up. Only those who don't mind gambling as a place to spend money would rush to chase losses and end up being disappointed. Because, chasing losses, is not the best way to spend money. Once we're satisfied with the fun. It's expected of us to rest and wait for when next we feel like to gamble. The reason why players always end up not giving gambling a break is because of the returns promised to them. And it's obvious they do not win up to their expectations. Those who enjoy gambling with their spare time and money, have higher chances of making accurate predictions. As their mind is at rest, and they don't get worried or sad at any losing result. They've programmed their day and time, when to start and end for the day. Hence, no specific decision is right about Op's question. Stopping immediately after losing can hinder us from winning or losing more if we continued. Nobody knows what would have been the outcome if we played a little more. That's why I'd advise people to set up time duration for their gambling activities. And never to stop playing, regardless of losing or winning, until the time elapse. For instance, people gamble in football. It's a 90 minutes game and the match never ends until the time is up. Whether a team is losing they keep playing and most times we've seen the losing team end up winning the game or getting a draw. It's just like a relatable example of what we need to do as gamblers.

One of the most simple things when it comes to gambling is staying within your means, maybe even creating a "bankroll" for certain games like poker which will dictate the size of room that you play in. If you have $100 allocated to spend on gambling each week, then you need to decide how to use that - either all in one session or you split $20 across five days for example. Then you need to keep track of the balance you've spent on a particular day, otherwise the gambling house can obfuscate it by a constant drip feeding of small wins. Lots of gamblers, even if they refuse to admit it, suffer from the problem of chasing losses but keep such a poor grip on their losses that they forever feel like they're in a black hole and are unlikely to climb out of it, the only way to get out is accepting the painful reality that you've lost all that money.

Those who think that casinos or gambling can be considered as an earning source or place, I think they are in a world of misconception. Casino or playing gambling I think is totally a part of entertainment, should it be used only for entertainment purposes. And I think it is very dangerous to enter here thinking of something else or become addicted.

My opinion in this regard is that before investing money here, you should think that this money will never come back. Because in some cases gambling completely depends on luck. So it is natural that there will be loss and gain here

In this case I will say that, when you gamble, set a specific strategy that may be your budget, such as you lose this (xxx) amount of money then you will not do more gamble that day. It is not only used in the case of gambling losses, but also in the case of profit, you can set a certain amount that after the profit, you will not gamble again that day.
