Early miners and those that joined maybe 2-3 years ago or so can be called pioneers., but not those who hold one BTC

Sure, but Gold is not a common payment option Smiley Or have you ever been gone to a store and bought food with gold? I don't think so. This is why I think he meant that this is a big problem for Bitcoin. Gold is a commodity to secure value. So is Bitcoin, too.

I.think that the biggest problem with Bitcoin is that its' amount is limited. That would probably be also the biggest obstacle for more massive use.

No.. that is the biggest feature.... It is the near perfect gold...

gold is not practical, it's too expensive for its weight (you could get groceries for a week with 2 grams of gold, which would get lost in your pockets). (i know, i know there are 1 gram gold bars, but even that is not very practical for everyday use).

The other problem is the fact that you can't get change easily. Right now 1 gram of gold is about $42, so what if you need to shop for $75? 2 grams is just a bit too much but 1g is not enough by half.

It's just not convenient. But bitcoin is just as easy as using a credit card.

Well i only have 2.** bitcoins, is it called pioneer too ? and my hope is can hold 10++ bitcoins so can make me into elite people lol.

not sure if 10 bitcoin will ever be enough to buy a jet (i hope so, but i doubt it).

but it will be more than enough to pay for everything you need in life if bitcoin gets mainstream.

A house, a decent car, and all luxury you need for pretty much the rest of your life. As long as you don't waste too much money.

I agree, 10 bitcoins is actually a lot.  And I had one tenth of that recently and like an idiot got scammed out of a good third of it.  I tell ya, I should have known better.  Alas, I'll get it back.

Don't know about being a pioneer though.  The early miners are the real pioneers, and that guy who bought the pizza for 10K btc.

What guy? 10k for a pizza? lmao. NEver heard this story.
Do you have a link?

10 BTC is NOT a lot. It is a senseful amount, stop day dreaming.

that was literally the first time ever recorded that someone bought something for bitcoin IIRC. Bitcoin were not really worth anything back then, and if a value was to be assigned to them it was something like $0.0025 per bitcoin.

Yes exactly, only 21 million people can have 1 Bitcoin.
And if some people have more then 1, even less people will be elite Wink

And this is also my goal just to have 1 bitcoin so my grandchildren will be rich as fuck Tongue

Over 2.5 million bitcoin are permanently lost.

Several million bitcoin are held by early adopters.

Right now there are less than 500,000 wallets that hold >1 bitcoin and a little over 100,000 wallets that hold >10 bitcoin.

I don't think there will ever be more than 2 million people even holding 1 bitcoin.

I really can't believe the naysayers that don't understand bitcoin will be really expensive because mathematically there i no other way.

If bitcoin gets popular and everyone wants a full bitcoin that's just impossible because there are just so few bitcoin, but if a bitcoin only costs $1000 or even $10,000 it will be way too cheap because the rich or even moderately rich people will buy all the bitcoin. And even the relatively 'poor' people will be able to afford way too much bitcoin. There won't be enough bitcoin left to divide.

The only option is for bitcoin to be really expensive ($100,000+)

If you hold 10 or more you are part of an elite.

This is my conclusion after the years I have been involved here. Absolutely no one in real life knows what the hell Bitcoin is, and even your most geeky friends may probably never heard about Bitcoin. Now if you take into account the people that has heard about it... what percentage own 1 BTC? Exactly.. you know almost no one.
And what percentage own 10 BTC? I personally know no one (people from this forum don't count obviously).

This simple observation shows you only need 1 BTC to be a pioneer on Bitcoin in 2016.
i think you should correct your post tittle, its written 1 BTC,not 10 BTC. yes you are maybe right,if people hold 10 bitcoin,he's peoneer, but its depending how they used that bitcoin,if they only hold and not use or trade it,they just against bitcoin.

He says that 10btc is elite and 1btc is pioneer.
So no need to change anything in the title.

other than the handful of people who started bitcoin, the lucky few are those who learned about it early and were able to mine lots of coins using laptops and desktops only. we need a time machine to take us to 2008.

maybe in 2024 we all will be early adepts Bitcoin and the elite will be the one who will have 1 bitcoin Cool

Maybe someday holders can receive some kind of rewards for hold them without affecting the supply...........

As quoted above might take place just to make the users much more into the bitcoin. Certainly such initiations will give good outcome.

Sure I think so too, I think just a few people on bitcoin community has an amount of BTC like that though since allot of people have much more than just one bitcoin... I think these pioneers will win big when bitcoins go mainstream.

I think this is true, I think everyone having more than 1 BTC is for pioneers and shows respect for people... I think they will be rewarded by the bitcoin price when bitcoin goes mainstream IMO.

I think its always good to have 1 btc in your wallet, but we cannot judge what would be its value in future, as anything is possible, either you become rich or it will be useless if price falls down.

I am almost there, 1 BTC milestone... but personally I think one should have at least 100 BTC to be a pioneer...

It's too late for accumulating 100 BTC as nearly no one can afford to buy that many Bitcoins, unless you have a decent amount of savings where you can use a part of it for investing in Bitcoin. The majority of the people can't even accumulate 10 BTC in total.

Unless the price took a huge dive.  Cheesy

Then we can start back in 2012-13 scenario and do this all over again lol. But yeah, its getting expensive it eventually appeals to people who need it now on a daily basis of their operations of business.

1 btc can be good if the price reaches to a moon, its always better to hold more number of coins in wallet, as we are not sure what would be the exact price of bitcoin in future.

yeah this is right you must hold more in your wallet and make sure if you will trade it

If in 10 years bitcoin has spread and become main stream, I will feel like a pioneer then, looking back to now.

If its just meandering in a niche market, then probably would say that got into it too late.
