As far as I am concerned there are more numbers of both for gambling but the easy way of online gambling is attracting more youths. More or less all youths are using mobile phones and can bet with friends wherever they are. Physical casinos are preferred for seniors but the use of technology has reduced the quality of physical casinos to a great extent with everyone opting for online ones.
You are right, both grades are into gambling, but the youth are the ones who are seen more often than the old people who are into gambling. The old people in my locality can only be seen most of the time focusing on pool gambling shops, where they use old newspapers and other materials to predict the team that will end up playing a draw in their next game. In case you don't know, this has been peculiar to me since many years ago, and at that age, I want to occupy myself with only those things that give me a free mind to think and breathe without worries. I don't think your right cause I live in Africa too and in my area and country, elder ones play gambling more than younger ones, have you seen the crowd of elderlies outside a gambling shop cause a lot of em don't use their phones to gamble and they rely on gambling shops, IMO since I can't tell how many youths use online casinos, I'll just say that elderly ones use physical gambling shops more and youths use online casino more, no numbers here no facts.

Old people don't have the energy just like the young people do, to continuously gamble. But, it has to be a regional problem. Gambling happens to be a game that unites some friends together, like the old people. They are some gamblers who are old and participates in the game with their friends as they not only want to be bored, but that has been a lifelong activity that kept them going during their early gambling days.
However, in my environment I'd say that young people are mostly into gambling due to the addiction they have on the internet lifestyle. It's also the same in my country but I don't have such data to say which is more and less but I'd only say that I see both in all ages that does gambles. A young ones or a young professional at the right age that becomes addicted in gambling and having problems on how they'd spend their money well and to keep themselves in intact budget. And the same goes for the elderly, they're professionals, have got a job and family but also, they're experiencing problems when there are times that they spend 1/4 to half and even full amount of their salaries.
