The second edition minis are likely limited to less than 100 copies.

The 2nd edition mini's will become difficult to come by since the entire set was short printed and collectors will be hanging on to a few of these.  So get them while you can when you see them, just my opinion Roll Eyes

What do you mean by "2nd edition" minis? Do you mean the Black Hobby X minis?

Regards,
Chris

Yes, I was confused by this and dolph confirmed that he's referring to the overall X series minis.  (I thought maybe there were two printings within the X series).

Seems like all the card holders woke up and posted on ebay tonight... Wow, so many listings now!!! Cheesy

As the #83 cards are going up in price it became a good gamble to break open all the hoarded boxes and take a chance on hitting some cryptocurrency cards.  The #83 card has been showing up on average of 1 per 4 boxes and there were less than 200 cases produced i.e. short printed.  A total off 600 of these 2nd edition cards.

What is the going rate on ebay these days?  These are the 1/300s?

I do not know the official count on these only that they are short printed

Ha. By short printed you probably mean not the full set of 300+ and not printed by someone less than 5'4".  This is kind of fun learning all this.  i appreciate your insight.

The hunt is still ongoing for the magenta printing plate for # 83 cryptocurrency.  Best of luck to all of you treasure hunters out there looking for these ultra rare exciting rookie cards.  There is also the possibility of a 1/1 wood stock #83 card . Roll Eyes

Because if you want to get the card out of the top loader, its easier to take a tweezer and get ahold of the sleeve, not get oils from your fingers on it.... because the older a card gets the drier it gets...like a sponge...even on the edges...it's the standard of "taking care" of your cards, your investment, and it says a lot about the current owner...be apprehensive if you don't see a card in a sleeve .....just fyi...the science of collecting has come a long way since we were kids.  Tongue

Nice! Thanks for the tip! Smiley

ALSO get the card sleeves to put the cards in PRIOR to sliding them into the  top loader.

Why the double-sleeving?
