As far as I know there are still some brooklyn backs, glowies and the never found silver mini x  and a few red mini x still in the wild.  Good luck to all my treasure hunting friends.  I think the rainbow printing plate collection will end up at a well known auction house in the several million dollar range

Not to pump the brakes but several million dollar range is a little high.  The highest nba/nfl/baseball cards barely ever fetch over a milly.  I know these are unique and have their place in history but these aren't going to surpass every other card in history quite yet.

Oh. it was back in the day. Yep. that is still a big loss.  there will be many "what could have been" stories when all the dust settles.  i remember buying a brooklyn back for $15 bucks.  i sold it for 2500 but now they go for 30k!

Let's see how long the people let the Government stick it to us. They also want the IRS to have full access to your checking account, to see what you get and where it goes. At first it was anyone making over $600, but there was a lot of push back on that, I think now they're talking $100,000, anyone who makes over $100,000 would have the Government up in their accounts. My question is: Just how long do you think it is going to take them to have full access to all of us, no matter what we make? So...how long are we going to let them steal our freedom? It's no ones business how you spend your money. This is just the tip of the iceberg. Sad

Edward Snowden was right.

I know a few of us managed to grab some of the Hobby Box's available this summer, but will you crack them open OR sell them now/later?
Does $3K-$4K sound like a good price compared to $20K for the X Hobby?  Tongue   I had a newbie to the Cryptocurrency card collecting arena say that the prices will go back down, recently...........we've watched it from day 1. There's been plenty of "Collectors" tell me that these cards would never be worth anything, they said that I was CRAZY!!! lol
I say to them :  DO YOU STILL THINK IM CRAZY???  Cheesy Grin    (Crazy like a Fox...all of us in here)   Wink

Well most of these sell on eBay and the US is moving the tax goalposts on US folks starting next year.  Used to be able to sell up to $20k or 200 items before getting a 1099 tax form.  Now it's only going to be $600 before we get 1099s.  So on top of eBay fees ypu now are gonna get hit with income tax.  If anyone is on the fence of selling now might be a good time before the flip of the new year.

Good info here, I have been studying up on this also. What is interesting is Ebay will issue you the 1099 but it appears up to you to then disclose to IRS. It appears Ebay will not, but will cooperate with IRS if any documentation is requested of them. Agree next year appears messy….

Yep ebay flash sale end of year everyone trying to get in lasties.  Then actually eBay might become of sellers market and get better sales due to sellers drying up.  People will definately be discouraged from selling on eBay, etsy, etc.

And now it's time to pay for the brrrrrrrrrrrrr.!!!!!

PSA #83 population count, 93 cards exist with a PSA 9 grade  Cool

Yes, quoting the pop count as a marketing device doesn't mean a lot, unless the card is a perfect 10 grade. After all, there's only one card on record with a low grade of 6, but that rarity doesn't make it more valuable. (However, it may make the card more embarrassing to own. YMMV.)

Chris@TBPCo.

Thanks Chris, Im a bit new to the whole card thing.

Yep shoot for the 10s no matter the pop.

Defiantely impressive.  As the rest of the card world has shrunk in price the crypto card keeps expanding.  Definately wish I had some unopened boxes to rip.  Would be fun but at these current prices it doesn't make sense.  Rather just straight buy a crypto card.

Wow! 5 days left at 850. Hold on to your hats. Could be 3k or more.   12 times more rare than base. Even more actually.  No glossy in a retail, blaster or value box. Anything under 5k a steal given base cards of same level going for about 1500.
