One of the few ICOs that I was genuinely excited for was the Ferrum Network couple of days ago. It didn't perform as well as expected after its listing, but I think that its time is coming very soon.

For the second year in a row, ICO projects have big problems, mainly due to the high level of fraud among them. However, the ICO is still working, albeit slowly. Perhaps the ICO projects would start to recover, however, the prices for altcoins rose very slowly this year following the rise in Bitcoin.
There are still good chances for recovery in ICO projects after the states regulate this type of activity and the level of fraud among them begins to fall sharply.

We are now in year 2019 were IEO was very popular and trending so far, and majority of the community preferred to join and invest on IEO compare to ICO and STO. Only few of the ICO and STO are now really has a potential to give profit to anyone here in the forum. In fact, 2018 most of the ICO went and turned into scam in the end of their project.

ICOs are not so popular in 2019. But it was in 2017 or even early 2018. But for many reasons they started to falling. One of the main reasons was full of scams and failed project. And the market conditions was also not good. But from early 2029 IEOs became popular and they are working fine. They are more trust worthy than ICOs and less scams are available. So people are interesting to invest in. So maybe ICOs are not popular at this moment bbut IEOs take the place and they works fine.

ICO is technically dead but thanks of exchanges there were able to come up with innovative way i.e. IEO but we all know this is very unsustainable, for m I think STO is te future and we need to welcome it, there are some registered token that are being approved by SEC now we also need to see how this go, reason being that most of these VCs and Angel investors care less about retail investors and could dump on you

After losing a huge amount of money by investing in ICO, I stopped investing in ICO! I don't know when will I start investing in ICOs again, because the market is not ready for the ICO, the IEO still holding the investing sector in the crypto market. People are not interested in ICOs too. So, from mid-2018 to mid-2019, ICO market is likely dying!

I strongly believe that if the cryptocurrency market recuperates from the present circumstance and the opportunity arrives for another bullrun, the level of fruitful ICO will begin to develop once more. With this improvement of occasions, numerous financial specialists will by and by direct their concentration toward digital currencies and I will be among them.
Be that as it may, right now it is extremely unsafe, in light of the fact that this year was one of the most exceedingly terrible for the cryptocurrency space.

it seems that now the ICO has begun to dim and many people have moved to the IEO, besides that, there are currently many projects that have started leaving the ICO. IEO is the latest generation of ICO  Wink

So, I have no plan to invest in ICOs anymore, but I felt bad by missing the Haratoken ICO!
When making a fixed decision to invest in IEO, you'll surely miss some good ICOs in the market, but honestly, I don't know the coin you mentioned.
Anyway, just take it and accept it, you focus in IEO because you believe it has more successful project and ICO projects are losing its popularity.

The ICO market started falling down from August 2018, when ETH price collapsed suddenly and it is like broke in November! After then I  saw a very few successful ICO project. After then people thought 2019 will be a year for the STO projects. But crypto people don't love regulations so STO projects are not being hit! Right now, the new IEO idea is going smoothly, and investors and projects owner both are happy! So, I have no plan to invest in ICOs anymore, but I felt bad by missing the Haratoken ICO!

ICO model is changing into IEO. Yes I do participate in IEO only from top exchanges. I participate in Binance Launchpad IEO, Kucoin Spotlight IEO, Bittrex IEO etc. I don't like IEO in LAtoken, ProBit or similar exchanges who creates huge IEO including many shit token.

at the moment I am more interested in IEO, ICO for me is currently less potential to gain profit. when there is an ICO that explodes I will definitely invest again in ICO.

Nowadays IEO is more popular than ICO but I have recommendations for you who wants to participate on ICO. Ferrum Network will held ICO this month, if you're late join whitelist, you can buy the token on exchange later, Bitmax and Binance dex soon.

I would rather go for an IEO instead of the traditional ICO. IEO provides you more liquidity and an assurance that you will get what you invested on. But IEO's still have some risks and it being quite exclusive. Micro Token Offerings are becoming a thing now in where you can get a private sales-like price on coins that are already in the exchange. A good alternative for you to participate on any fundraising events but it still requires knowledge for you to not get rekt.

ICOs were very popular and profitable during 2017 but initial Exchange Offering came up and has now taken over. The crypto space is very dynamic and no one knows what will happen next. If ICOs are able to sustain till next year, then maybe I will still continue to invest in some potential ones

Over time and technological advances in the digital era, many people have been very interested in investing some of their money in the world of cryptocurrency such as Ethereum / (Altcoins). What are your plans for next year, and will you participate in the ICO?
Thank you.
I intend to participate in more IEOs. At the present time, I don't think it will be good to join ICO because no one can guarantee that the ICO projects are really good. I think most of ICO will be scam and I will not choose ICO investment in 2019.

The ICO notion is very close to its death due to so deep market correction. It's obvious that the percentage of scam is higher than we can even imagine in 2017, but still, let's be honest, many of us understood that this game is very short and it doesn't have a happy end. First come, first serve)

Yes, my friend, you are right ICO doesn't give a happy ending. But this time IEO makes happy to all investors and IEO gives the best return on their investment. Like Moozicore, moozicore is a very interesting project and I also participated in moozicore.(https://tokensale.moozicore.com/)

Wow, this thread was made last year before the IEO boom. I think the ICO era has ended since the beginning of 2019 and all investors went to invest in the IEO. ICO has been considered unsafe by most people because it only creates new scammers in the future. Well, now we just wait until the IEO's heyday ends like ICO, I think there will be a lot of better new fundraising methods in the future.
Although the ICO has been abandoned yet I think the IEO method is less effective as well, because the developers only choose a small market to raise its funds, if they choose a large market like Binance will surely quickly depleted the tokens that want to Sold.

ICO is not focused like IEO, calling for capital by selling tokens through exchange brings a lot more attraction. Since projects that are sold on large exchange are real projects

ICO is being replaced by IEO, STO etc. Therefore it is a wise idea to invest in IEO. IEO (initial exchange offering) does some investment guarantees as the project launching IEO is set to be listed on the same exchange. For me, I personally do not prefer to invest in ICO, IEO or STO. I think there might be risk in investing in ICO, IEO without rigorous research.

Investors and developer teams prefer the IEO rather than the ICO because it is easier for the developer team to raise funds from the sale of tokens. Many IEOs have benefited investors when first listing and I think this is what makes IEO more popular

the first Initial Coin Offering (ICO) and in the years since then thousands of ICOs have surfaced, creating a bubble that peaked in 2017, with more than 50 ICOs per month at the end of last year. This flooding of the market, along with the saturation and noise in the market, resulted in the brutal failure of more than ½ of 2017s ICOs by February of this year. Many projects are re-evaluating and questioning the benefits of an ICO, because not only is it challenging to find a voice and market in the midst of thousands of other projects, but also regulations are coming that will further limit the effectiveness and perks of the ICO model. Because of the change and evolution of the crypto market, new fundraising options and models must be explored and developed. One such model is the IEO: an initial exchange offering differs from the conventional ICO model in one key aspect. Rather than the token being distributed through the project, and the token is sent to investors wallets, the tokens are distributed through an exchange. This means investors buy the token directly on an exchange. The main benefit of this model is that once the IEO is completed, the tokens are immediately ready to be traded on an exchange, giving investors more freedom and security. This attempts to solve a problem the ICO model is facing now more than ever. IEO'S is the new version of ICO'S some IEO like  Moozicore, Aigo etc https://tokensale.moozicore.com/
