ICO is being replaced by IEO, STO etc. Therefore it is a wise idea to invest in IEO. IEO (initial exchange offering) does some investment guarantees as the project launching IEO is set to be listed on the same exchange. For me, I personally do not prefer to invest in ICO, IEO or STO. I think there might be risk in investing in ICO, IEO without rigorous research.

This time nobody invests in ICO because ICO time has gone and IEO time has come or everybody invests in IEO and the difference between ICO's and IEO's lies in the fact that unlike ICOs which are launched on the startup’s website, IEO's are launched on the cryptocurrency exchange’s platform exchange listing. Meaning, the crypto exchange websites like Binance, OK Jumpstart, Bitmax Launchpad, and Bittrex IEO, etc house the IEO on their website for the investors to come and participate.

If you are interested in participating IEO you should go with Moozicore. (https://tokensale.moozicore.com/)

I met several projects that came out in 2018 as an ICO but did not succeed, and in 2019 held IEO. Tokens of these projects have acquired real value. So that projects can combine ICO and IEO

Based on data for 2018, a staggering 58% of ICOs did not manage to raise $100,000 and only 2% of all announced ICOs has been listed on exchange. It’s time to evolve and IEOs are immediately becoming super effective!
IEO is future one of the best IEO Moozicore is growing rapidly I like like to invest in IEO insted of ico.

I have never attended ICO, I prefer coins that are clear and have high prices, such as ethereum or litecoin,
but that doesn't mean I don't believe in ICO, just avoid scam projects, because I don't really understand how to investigate the project scam or not.
it is indeed very difficult to investigate and avoid ICO projects that are classified as project scams.
even though i have tried to learn for it, still i cannot distinguish them.

i am also like you, who likes clear coins and some of them like you mentioned.
it's better for us to be on a coin that is clear and has been in crypto for a long time.

Over time and technological advances in the digital era, many people have been very interested in investing some of their money in the world of cryptocurrency such as Ethereum / (Altcoins). What are your plans for next year, and will you participate in the ICO?
Thank you.

I will no longer participate in ICO, because in my opinion there are many ICO that fail and scam for now, so instead of spending my time to investing in ICO, I prefer to invest in coin that are already listed in exchange and have product, because I believe investing in ICO has a very big risk and even very difficult to get profit, so I advise you to invest in coin that already have product and list in exchange (the risk is smaller and the possibility of getting profits is easier) than you invest in ICO.

The technology is here to stay and many new people are coming in every day by day and the tech is growing like never before but we have moved from the ICO level to ieo in these days as many has used that privilege to scam many investors and the next is either investing in IEO on a good and safe exchange or buy some token or coin that are more secure to hold for long term.

maybe not, I am more happy and satisfied to invest in BTC than I have to participate in the ICO project, because with so many scam projects I don't want to be interested in me, but if we are lucky in investing in ICO the benefits will be much greater rather than investing in BTC, but the risk that we will get is also greater.

My plan in 2019 is to only hold some altcoins for the long term and maybe buy altcoins whose prices still look cheap in market. For ICO, at the moment I think investors are not too interested because almost all projects are switching to the IEO
I agree. by only holding several of potential altcoins, we will find it easier to monitor their progress. with the changing trend from iico to ieo, there are several things that are considered by investors. the general reason for them is that there are a lot of frauds, which end up harming investors, and this is not the case with ieo which is related to the exchange that is already popular, so it has a lower risk

I am a little awkward to invest some of my money into the ICO program. because I was a little traumatized by the events that occurred at the ICO in 2018. I read a lot and saw that most ICOs in that year were scams and just stopped when the project was running. for whatever reason, it was obvious because there was one team member who was not responsible for the trust given to him.

Given that ICOs have been pushed to oblivion and adequately replaced by IEOs and STOs,  2020 may not be a feasible year for any ICO that will launch. Nonetheless, there are some Ico that retain their integrity and will not give in to defeat. Next year being on the search for ‘the rare gems amongst crypto project ’ will be my core

Wow, this thread was made last year before the IEO boom. I think the ICO era has ended since the beginning of 2019 and all investors went to invest in the IEO. ICO has been considered unsafe by most people because it only creates new scammers in the future. Well, now we just wait until the IEO's heyday ends like ICO, I think there will be a lot of better new fundraising methods in the future.

No I will not participate in any ICO henceforth because they dealth with me. Nowadays I have been participating in some IEOs and they have paid off well, so to me thats a better option and from the look of things it is.

This year has already gone half yet I have hardly heard about any project conducting ICOs all are now into IEOs. However, if ICOs should come up again I doubt if I will partake because I had bitter experiences with it. IEOs to me, offers a more better funds security.

ICOs are not a real thing in 2019. The for has completely changed. In 2017 or in early 2018 ICOs were very popular. But for many reasons ICOs started to fall to the ground. One of the reason was market conditions. Another bbug reason was large number of scams and failed project. So investors are afraid of losing their money. From late 2018 or early 2019 IEOs took the place of ICOs with great trust factors. So IEOs are now very popular and worth of some investment. So at this point IEOs are far better than ICOs in 2019.

This is the middle of 2019 and ICO as a medium for raising funds for cryptocurrency projects is as good as dead. We are in the era of IEOs now and even that itself may not see the end of 2019. Fingers crossed

The market might be very unstable but there are still new up and coming ICO and projects. Just like Pointpay which has a great platform to boast. They are even running a 1 ETH giveaway.

As for me, the ICO is gradually dying.  Nobody wants to invest in them.  And its competitors make themselves known.  I do not think that ICO will survive.
We can not say ICOs are completely dead. Today we can find plenty of ICO investors. But, better system will attract attention. Even recently IEO is a good way to find investor for projects.
Unfortunately, we have not seen any system yet that leads to improvement of ICO.
if you noticed, most of the coins that are coming from crowdsale now are from IEO, that makes ICO obsolete.

I think initial coin offering in year 2019 is really amazing, because initial coin offering really depends on the price of the bitcoin and ethereum, because bitcoin and ethereum is the coin that is used to purchase tokens and i believe that the ico is always affected if the price or value of bitcoin and ethereum dropped, so i think bitcoin is now start its bull run status so the ico this year will have a good flow.
