For anyone curious, you can turn these A4+'s into A6s. The control board has enough ports for 8 hashboards and 4 fans. I changed over 30 A4s so I only have to monitor 15 ASICs now. Way better. The inno support guy gave me an older firmware that supports it, the latest only ran 6 boards total. He said there should be a new firmware today or tomorrow that supports all 8 again.

Bump the Frequency to 1152Mhz and Lower VID (which raises the voltage) on the Miner General Configuration page. There are instructions on that Miner General Configuration too. Read those for sure.
Try frequency 1152MHz and then try adjusting VID between 22-14. Should get faster as you approach 14, probably will get the best rate when VID is somewhere below 20. I still haven't explored what's optimal for my machines. Waiting for the warranty to expire before I mess with overclocking but I overclocked my own A4 Dominators and it worked the same way.

Make sure you're lowering the VID, the unit needs more power at a higher frequency

Innosilicon is one big joke. I must've have extremely good luck with Inno-lottery but this kind of shit keeps coming up.
Sounds like some component(s) have released their magic smoke (and even by 2018 there's no cure for that
). It could be something simple like a resistor or capacitor blown up since you had some luck at somehow get it to "work" for a while. Though this is something you should never be worried about. This is unbeliveable. I would personally try to fix the board or source a new one rather than deal with Innosilicon with their superior guarantee etc.
Nevertheless, I wouldn't try to boot the thing up again until the problem is located and fixed. It could do a lot more harm than what you already have.
In their defense they have been good at responding quickly. It's just they are having trouble understanding me.
I have avoided opening the miner to find the burned component out of fear of them voiding the warranty but I'm going to open it next visit and figure it out.

Bump the Frequency to 1152Mhz and Lower VID (which raises the voltage) on the Miner General Configuration page. There are instructions on that Miner General Configuration too. Read those for sure.
Try frequency 1152MHz and then try adjusting VID between 22-14. Should get faster as you approach 14, probably will get the best rate when VID is somewhere below 20. I still haven't explored what's optimal for my machines. Waiting for the warranty to expire before I mess with overclocking but I overclocked my own A4 Dominators and it worked the same way.

Went out to the mine one day after a a4+ showed offline. Strong smell of electrical fire in the mine. Traced it back to the offline a4+
First few boot attempts the smell was VERY strong. My clothes even smelled like it after returning home. Miner starts to boot. Lights on all 4 boards go off and the fault light flashes. Miner never requests an ip address. Will not boot with any boards attached. After a few attempts the smell went away.
Yesterday during troubleshooting it randomly decided to assign itself an ip address outside of my subnet (10.58.133.0/24 when my subnet is 192.168.1.0/24). Grabbed an old router and configured it to that subnet and no luck. It wouldn't even request or assign itself an ip this time.
Innosilicon keeps telling to to update the firmware via the management console. Despite my repeated emails telling them I cannot access it.

Innosilicon is one big joke. I must've have extremely good luck with Inno-lottery but this kind of shit keeps coming up.
Sounds like some component(s) have released their magic smoke (and even by 2018 there's no cure for that
). It could be something simple like a resistor or capacitor blown up since you had some luck at somehow get it to "work" for a while. Though this is something you should never be worried about. This is unbeliveable. I would personally try to fix the board or source a new one rather than deal with Innosilicon with their superior guarantee etc.
Nevertheless, I wouldn't try to boot the thing up again until the problem is located and fixed. It could do a lot more harm than what you already have.

Anyone have any luck with missing chains ? I have one miner that boots missing ASC1 chain entirely. This happened the first day, I did do a system reboot remotely the next morning and the chain came alive. After re working the miner arrangement the chain and recycling the power arrange it won't come back. I have checked cable connection and PSU with no luck. The green light comes on when booting then goes off. I can tell the board has sharpie mark on one of PCIE connection legs and a solder touch up job on one of the the back pads of the signal cable port.

I did, I contacted support and sent the chain back. Running the machine with 3 of 4 chains until I get the chain back from Innosilicon.
Support got back to me quick about the issue when I contacted them through the site (I recommend adding your order number to the message, seems to get a faster response that way but maybe that's just my experience). Your issue looks very similar to mine.

who faced can be such a problem ? on litecoinpool mainit consistently good, and if you connect on some multipool for example mining-dutch, it is some time works normally and then on any Board gets slick ? how to deal with it ?
noticed when mined 1 coin when a HW is on the Board hashrate in webinterface does not change, and when you mine on multipool when a HW on this Board is reduced hashrate

Bump the Frequency to 1152Mhz and Lower VID (which raises the voltage) on the Miner General Configuration page. There are instructions on that Miner General Configuration too. Read those for sure.
Try frequency 1152MHz and then try adjusting VID between 22-14. Should get faster as you approach 14, probably will get the best rate when VID is somewhere below 20. I still haven't explored what's optimal for my machines. Waiting for the warranty to expire before I mess with overclocking but I overclocked my own A4 Dominators and it worked the same way.
